    LNG Liquifies at −162 °C (−260 °F), on contact with the sea, concrete, air it boils off and evaporates, it doesn not make a mess

    So as long as it's a vapor it doesn't pollute?

    Just stop gas venting during the extraction and it will be cleaner.

    LNG is terrible ,,,It takes so much energy to produce

      yeap but LNG is the cheapest and cleanest fossil fuel,
      and I think LNG is the way to better world.

      Ali Zaenal Abidin its cleaner but not necessarily cheaper yet! www.eia.gov/electricity/annual/html/epa_08_04.html

      Marce Johnston .you say let the natural gas to burne is better than make it to LNG ?.the energy used to produce LNG more then the energy get from LNG?

    • @closedcourse
      @closedcourse 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ali Zaenal Abidin it is a lesser of evils, yes it BURNS cleaner, but the process of extracting it and liquifying it is dirtier than extracting and converting other types of fossil fuels.
      This video is misleading then they say the LNG is environmentally friendly because it would vaporize. He is correct saying there is no slick. But LNG mostly methane (CH4), which in its gaseous form is much worse for the environment than CO2 for accelerating global warming.

      Nick Leboe who said that liquifying it is dirtier? And what are the parameters? I'm curious bout that.
      I said cleanest fossil fuel because there are no impurities such Sulfur and Mercury inside LNG because of we have to purify it from Impurities especially for sulfur because it can will disturb liquefy process and it will produced SOx that makes acid rain.

    Natural gas is used to make plastics. All sorts of plastics. Maybe anyone who doesn't like natural gas should show some spine and hand in their mobile phone. And most of their kitchen. And their car. Their hearing aid. Their eye glasses. Any many many other things in their lives...........
