I wasn’t sure where you were going at the beginning, but where you took this was PERFECT!! I never thought I would ever see the evil that is here today. My God, my Jesus and my Bible are my only focus. I pray for angelic protection over my children and grandchildren. You touched on all points of depravity. I can’t watch movies, news or listen to music unless they are Christ based. My friends are unhappy and when I tell them Bible verses, they say, “Oh, that is just a book written by good men.” They have SEEN and heard the Grace God has given me,, I’m talking BIG Grace…. yet they aren’t interested. A couple of weeks ago my husband put on a Disney show rescue rangers. I pled with him not to show our children any secular cartoons. He assumed it was fine since it was from the 80s. I found an episode where the males characters went under cover as women and another male character admired them. Also other episodes with magic.

Boy...if this doesn't speak of what's happening today. Many folks don't realize it; even some Christians don't see it and go along with the "program." And when Dr. Lawson spoke; you can think of examples and leaders that fit the bill of what he described. And folks eat it up. My prayer for all us is to be like Noah who: "Found favor in the eyes of the Lord." Self examination so paramount and the willingness to "sell all you have, give it to the poor and come follow me." If the Sons of God were indeed believers of God in those times, then they would have to be just ordinary humans. But why will their offsprings be GIANTS? And why will God need to destroy them? I am sorry i disagree with Pastor Lawson on this one. I believe thiese are really fallen angels. After all, angels are also called sons of God in Job. I think this is the simplest and most direct and literal interpretation. Anyway, i love Pastor Lawson just the same. He is one of the best teachers nowadays along with John McArthur ang RC Sproul.

Giants could mean powerful men. Actually the translation Godly men or people marrying ungodly makes more sense in Context of the bible. Because if it doesn't mean this you have to deal with the issue of the souls or the lack thereof of their off of the offspring of the fallen angels, and their offsprings offsprings.

I agree with you. These sons of God were not men. Neither were they fallen angels or demons. They were actually angels who had not fallen yet. These were LIKE some of the angels that visited Abraham, Lot and others. They had the body of men. They ate like men and I am sure there are other human things that they can do. During their visits they saw that women were beautiful and went in unto them. God asked Job where he was when the foundations of the earth were laid, when the morning stars sang together, and when all the sons of God shouted for joy. These sons of God were heavenly beings..NOT Seth's offspring. This is my first time listening to this Pastor

After watching and reading Michael Heiser’s work in the unseen realm and listening to his interpretation of the verses- if you look at the word gods in Hebrew it is Elohim- Elohim is used for God and gods. They were part of God’s council. They are the ones who had children with earthly women.
Michael has done extensive research on these verses and on the council of God and other works that based on the time frame of when this was written- the Jews knew who the son of God were. Enoch is a great reference for figuring out this issue and The people living back then knew Enoch and His knowledge of what was going on.
I am convinced after listening and reading from Michael Heiser that we need to know the culture and context of what was going on during that time period to understand this passage correctly.
Sins of God are literally other lesser gods that made up God’s council and left to do evil and are now locked up awaiting final judgement when Jesus returns in judgement.
After knowing what people knew back then, this passage makes much more sense.

There are as many takes on that passage about "son's of God" as there are about the "rapture". The matter at hand is salvation, walking in God's Word and not any private interpretation. Hard to do when everyone wants to be right.

The term ' sons of God' only referred to angelic beings in the OT. What took place was a group of angels who left their heavenly estate and came down to earth and took human women as wives and bore half human, half angelic hybrid 'monsters'.

@@fredsavory9789 my comment on genesis 6, was from research done by biblical scholars, based on ancient linguistic writings... when it comes to a discussion on the nephilim, that discussion isn't one that involves a salvific or instructional nature, as it pertains to holiness ,in an individual's walk,or sanctification. (as far as I can tell,in an immediate application). I am aware that scripture is for edification, instruction, and correction, and to address your question of, have I recieved the Holy Spirit, I can answer in the affirmative. I appreciate your zeal, but to aspire to telling someone what one is "suppose to say" or think,may be a little presumptuous, or may not be factoring in the different functions that exist within the body of christ. Hiesers assertions regarding the text in gen.6 may be inaccurate, but I have ,after hearing other opinions, chosen to "endorse" his conclusions, based on linguistic evidence.. That is correct concerning the sons of God.
The Bible tells us that the good angels are ministering spirits. That would tell us that the fallen angels are also spirits....evil ones. They don't have a body. God is the only one that overshadowed a woman and brought forth a son...Jesus Christ.
The demons don't do this.
