God... This almost made me cry. She looks so desperate to justify the murder, to make others understand, and at the same times seems to be telling us the entire truth even though it is hurtful. When the song ended she looked as if she was landing from another world. I had never seen an artist performing with so much emotion and this is why I love Aurora so much and really hope she gets more recognition with time.
I also feel like this references to the world's situation currently. We have so many innocent lives dying from different sides trying to win over and different beliefs trying to 'justify' these horrible acts... I cry every time I listen to her. She's beautiful. ♡
She made me cry. I love hearing her so much more love. For Runaway, the music video doesn’t stand out too much for me even though I do like it. But live, it seems as if it was the only way for it to be performed. Her sudden intake of breaths and her frantic movements. It really makes the song for me.
“It is a love song”, said Aurora, in a 2016 interview with Baeble. Though dark and - in many ways - evil, this song deals with the difficult things we must do to protect the people we love.
You know, I don't understand it that way. I think it's a love song because the girl in the story singing the song loves the guy so much that she truly believes he did it for her sake. There are very few circumstances where killing someone is protecting them in my opinion. It doesn't seem to be the case in the song. The guy is completely messed up. Maybe he does love the girl and thinks he's protecting her, but he's dangerous. Yet, the girl loves him and understands that in his understanding he isn't hurting her, even though she's very scared of the gun and probably doesn't want to die. She sounds completely disturbed.
she definitely knows the sound and ambiance she is looking for. Martin's acoustic tone is just phenomenal .... Yes, a song for the ages.... Lots of use old rockers now have our jaws dropped watching this..

3:25 there’s not a single sound in that enormous hall other than the voice of this tiny being - a child really, just 19 at the time. The way she fills that space and commands her audience’s attention is extraordinary.
That was the first time she performed in front of so many people, she was quite nervous. I think that is why this performance of this song stands above the rest, because she dove deeply into her minds eye while singing this and the emotions flowed. I love how people are so still and silent when she sings and are even hesitant to disturb the peace with applause. She really does transfix people, just one of the many things that makes her her.
I've listned to music all my life. All kinds of music, all kind af artists. I have many bands and musicians that are very precious to me. But nothing has ever given me the feelings that i get when I listen to this little diamond. I've tried to understand what it exactly is that makes me feel this way. A special thank to Aurora's mum, who convinced her to share her talent with the world.
This comment is exactly what i’ve been trying to explain! i have never in my life heard music that touches me like hers. It’s like another world just opened up.
Years ago I dated a girl who was a clown. She did birthday parties and whatever. She loved what she did. One day I asked her what type of clowns she was, and she spun around, looked at the sky and said "I'm a storyteller." Well one day I was in the library and they were having a book fair or something and I went into this little room and there was a lady in there telling stories to a bunch of kids. She was wearing like a Mother Hubbard costume or something and telling stories to these kids and the kids were kind of squirmy, not really paying attention. And even I noticed that I wasn't able to follow her, I wasn't really connecting with her, she wasn't connecting. So I went back and talked to my girlfriend about that later and she said "oh, she didn't invite you in". Now, I'd never heard that expression before but I knew that she didn't mean she didn't invite me into the room, she meant she didn't invite me into the story. Aurora not only invites you in, she's taken the door off the hinges and torn down the Walls! Sorry for such a long post but I think it's a good story. sorry if I didn't invite you in at the beginning. LOL
God she deserves Grammy award. In my entire life I've never seen any artist like her. Now I have to listen her every song. Tons of love from India!! ♥️♥️♥️
Geez this is so painful! Aurora shows the feeling of the song with the hands and the expressions of her face! Man this is amazing!! You can feel the pain! I got goosebumps
I feel like Aurora had true empathy, she is able to truly put herself in other's shoes and live their experiences. And her music has a way of pulling the listener into that world, as well.
her live performances are superior because its her, videos are nice but thats planned and choreographed, her expressions live are all her. It seems the more intimate the setting the more powerful she is in eliciting emotion from the listener. Watch the HAIK documentary, she performs for 2 of her biggest fans and by the end even the interviewer is in tears.
@@marketsquareus BUT you forget that she directs a lot of her own videos and she views them as extensions of her art, or part of the whole presentation, so I really love watching the creativity she channels in the visual and well as musical expressions ;?)
I am new to Aurora, and let me tell you, if you get hooked on one song, you will get hooked on them all. Her story-telling and vocal delivery are haunting, even after multiple listenings to the same song. Aurora makes you believe that art really can change the world.
Maru Maru She was not well growing up in the family home and wrote these songs and kept them in a shoe box. Her songs were her feelings she wrote down. She said in a video she healed herself with her songs. Also, she did a talent show at her school whilst someone in the auditorium recorded it and uploaded it to the Internet and it went viral.
In 63 years of life I 1. Have never seen such free human spirit. 2. Never knew how much I have never lived my life as I should have. She should be listed as one of her country’s national wonders!
Been living under a rock this whole time, only to find out angels do exist. Recently discovered her, and I just feel like the air has been sucked out of my chest.

This is an astounding and hauntingly beautiful performance. In my view, Aurora has to be the best artist on the planet right now. I have not found a bad song from her yet, and doubt that I will. Aurora is a very clever and talented singer, and a beautiful human being.
I usually just listen to the studio versions of the songs. Because sometimes live versions don't turn out so good. But her live songs are on a whole different level. I really love that you can listen to 3 different live version of the same song from Aurora, and it'll be always a bit different, yet the essence of the song is the same, and all of them is great.
This song was used during the end titles in a documentary about the murder of a13 year old girl , Yara Gambirasio, here in Italy. How they found the murderer was quite allot of work using the DNA found on the crime scene that didn't directly lead to the killer as they had no one in the data bank with that profile. It was actually linked to a dead man whose son was a perfect match. He showed no remorse or feelings for what he did.
The context on this performace gets me so emotional everytime. I mean, she's singing a song about murdering someone at the Nobel Peace Prize, but it's not only about murdering someone, it's about how someone can be able to find peace in death. The song talks about someone who's in pain while alive and wanna find peace in diyng. Euthanasia...
She makes me forget about the world with her voice and her expressions. I forget where I am, who I am and all I can do is focus on each and every syllable that leaves her mouth. That’s the power she holds.
I have listened to this live performance a hundred times, between myself and the too many times I have watched people react to this, and I still cry every time I watch it, Aurora is the only one that can do that, her music become my favorite music since the first time I listened to it, I've always loved music, but I never cared about the people that's behind it, until I discovered Aurora, she is so humble and just a lovely and kind human being, she was the first artist that made me love not only the music, but also the one that's behind it, and that in a certain way makes you love the music even more, it's a shame there is people calling "artists" people like Bad Bunny, and worse, calling them like the best of all time, when people that Aurora exist, that not only is a real artist, in the full expression of the word, but also, she a good person, not egocentric or anything like that, but the opposite, I feel bad for the people that only listens to reggaeton and they haven't experienced the real beauty of music, and the people that makes it like Aurora doesn't get the recognition, she is my ever favorite and she will be for the rest of my life, there is no one like her, she is unique.
I've never been so captivated by a performer like I am with Aurora. Her live versions are so perfect, yet so emotional. She's an absolute unmatched talent and I hope more people get to experience these journeys her songs take us on.
Could you imagine being the cameraman that has to keep the camera to her eyes, watching every expression she makes. The goosebumps I get just listening to this performance would be magnified greatly if I were that cameraman.

Aurora didn't even have to cry (as you see her eyes are teary), and it'll still be a beautiful song. I love her sm!! Aurora grew so much, no words can explain how proud we are of her 🥺💘.

Aurora have the power to take us to her stories and I love that. This performance just feels so real and it goes straight to your heart. Damn it. We gotta love Aurora.
I can't stop staring into her beautiful and mystical eyes. the way she made her hands motion is very unique. like she's expressing her feeling about the meaning of the song. it's fascinating!!
for me its like as she's trying to contain herself, that she is desperately trying to convey the meaning, the justification of that murder, and she can barely hold it in, her desperation.
I just found AURORA and this.... this left me a big lump in my throat, so beautiful and scary at the same time. I can't stop listening to this and now I am soaked in tears.
i don't know how many years ago i found her, it seems like forever if i look back on it. she's so ethereal, as if she's mother nature herself, or from another planet. i can't explain it, but i'm sure many of you feel the same
I finally understand its a song about suicide and how it kills the other person who loved you. The person who commits suicide still loved the other person, and hides the pain they carry but eventually commits suicide. Kowing they will be happier without them.
When I was younger, I watched a dance competition of contemporary solos and there was one girl who danced to this song jn a white dress and it was probably the most beautiful things I've ever seen
One of the most amazing singers I've ever come across - Unfortunately I've only just discovered her amazing talent and story talent!! The lyrics to many of her songs are so dark, yet there is absolute beauty to the way the lyrics are conveyed!
Everytime I watch Aurora, it's not just about a song, it's such a wonderful performance... Some people may call her crazy, but I'd rather call her genius, she's out of this world, and it's sooo good
This song reminds me of our little beautiful angel kitty that we just had to put to sleep for mercy because of her pain ..I could feel her soul coming through this song.
There are certain songs you hear and they just hit you a in a way you can't really explain except for that it felt like something just shook right thru you to the core. I cried like a little baby listen to this. (so glad I stumbled across this artist.)

"he cries"
he isn't the only one-
19..... 19 years old.... 19!!!
I'm in love with her voice and nose
I think I died and this is heaven.
Sue B Same
Do you see hr up there tell him I miss him

Sue B nope ur still in this cruel world where bad things happen

She makes me forget about the world with her voice and her expressions. I forget where I am, who I am and all I can do is focus on each and every syllable that leaves her mouth.
That’s the power she holds.
I just keep coming back to this performance. I’m so bewitched by it
same!
Why she didn’t get a Nobel Prize? She’s giving us peace!!!
She's an absolute unmatched talent and I hope more people get to experience these journeys her songs take us on.
i *felt* that i wasnt just hearing it, i experienced it in a way i cant really describe
i can feel the mystery and homesickness in her voice.
melody is as beautiful as she.
performance is just pure perfection.
Could you imagine being the cameraman that has to keep the camera to her eyes, watching every expression she makes. The goosebumps I get just listening to this performance would be magnified greatly if I were that cameraman.
true talent is writing a song as beautiful as this and having the stage personality to give an amazing performance
Five, four, three, two, one
Five, four, three, two, one
He holds the gun against my head
I close my eyes and bang I am dead
I know he knows that he’s killing me for mercy
And here I go
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
And here I go
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
He holds my body in his arms
He didn't mean to do no harm
And he holds me tight
Oh, he did it all to spare me from the awful things in life that comes
And he cries and cries
I know he knows that he’s killing me for mercy
And here I go
Oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
And here I go
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
He holds my body in his arms
He didn't mean to do no harm
And he cries and cries
He did it all to spare me from the awful things in life that comes
And he cries and cries
Five, four, three, two, one
Five, four, three, two, one
Ah
Ah
Ah
Ah
Five, four, three, two, one
Five, four, three, two, one
Five, four, three, two, one
The gun is gone
And so am I
And here I go
Uuopeip
She becomes a totally different person when she’s singing and you can tell when she’s done, it’s like she just broke a spell
she is the only artist ive listened to everyday for atleast 2 months, thats how special her music is
Adam Jankowski same:)
This is what a "Peace Prize Concert" sounds like..🤍..
This version is more beautiful than the studio one..😮
It is not possible to put so much soul in a performance like this.
Aurora didn't even have to cry (as you see her eyes are teary), and it'll still be a beautiful song. I love her sm!! Aurora grew so much, no words can explain how proud we are of her 🥺💘.
Never fails to leave me in tears. Possibly the most beautiful thing I've ever heard.
I listened to this and I had an *awakening*, I felt like I was *under stars* *running with the wolves* being carefree like I could *conqueror* anything, I met a *little boy in the grass*, small as he was though strong as a *warrior* and for the first time ever I saw the world *through the eyes of a child*. I am now *half the world away* and I don't ever want to come back *home*. Fill free to *runaway* with me too. :)
*applauds*
;)
And then I slipped and drowned *under the water*
:(
you PUPPET! you had to make it dark! Be like an animal soul and not like all my demons!
As I went too far, silhouettes disapear from my view.
She shares her Soul...that is what i think it is. she can show you The Depthz Of her Soul.
I dont thing I have ever felt a shiver on top of a shiver before. I am speechless.
the emotion in her
face takes you with her
I just found AURORA and this.... this left me a big lump in my throat, so beautiful and scary at the same time.
I am so proud of her
I will always thank “The Flash” for showing me this beautiful artist
she is opening her eyes at the "bang" part in every single live performance and I love this so much without a reason...
I guess she is better then Billie while controlling her voice in some of the whispering notes... Just awesome ❤️
My God. I have never heard anything like her.
She's so incredibly amazing when she sings live unlike a lot of artists.
I can’t get enough of this performance, just keep watching and watching, its so god damn perfect!!😍😭🙏
I think she is the only person who can just count to 10 and make it a song And I will listen to it all day long
2:38 Ok, I just fell in love with her. She's so amazing!
She has something magical that the others don't have.
thank you, Aurora, for coming down to earth and taking us to your dimensions for a little while.
Some people may call her crazy, but I'd rather call her genius, she's out of this world, and it's sooo good
It literally made me cry, it's like she really feels everything she sings about inside. I love her.
This song reminds me of our little beautiful angel kitty that we just had to put to sleep for mercy because of her pain ..I could feel her soul coming through this song.
Back here again. Aurora, simply put it this way I love you.
HOW DID IT HAVE LESS THAN A MILLION VIEWS?! THIS DESERVES BILLIONS
There are certain songs you hear and they just hit you a in a way you can't really explain except for that it felt like something just shook right thru you to the core. I cried like a little baby listen to this. (so glad I stumbled across this artist.)
One of the very raw singer which i prefer live because it sounds even more authentic.
This simply is a Masterpiece
