Aurora's voice is so incredible. I also want to say huge props to the guitarist and vocalist performing with her. I really wish the current musical climate was more equipped and inclined to provide proper credits for backup performers, rather than push them into the shadows though! I don't see any mention of her name in the video or description. Please feel free to correct me if I've missed it :) I had to root through the comments to find the name 'Silja Sol', which should really be somewhere we can see it easily so that we can find her and appreciate her talents even more! Anyway, I hope I didn't bring any sort of downer to such a beautiful performance. This is one of my favourite songs - one of very few that brought me to tears upon first listen (when the music cuts at the end and the Gregorian Choir fades in... goosebumps all over!)

Aurora's voice is so incredible. I also want to say huge props to the guitarist and vocalist performing with her. I really wish the current musical climate was more equipped and inclined to provide proper credits for backup performers, rather than push them into the shadows though! I don't see any mention of her name in the video or description. Please feel free to correct me if I've missed it :) I had to root through the comments to find the name 'Silja Sol', which should really be somewhere we can see it easily so that we can find her and appreciate her talents even more!
Anyway, I hope I didn't bring any sort of downer to such a beautiful performance. This is one of my favourite songs - one of very few that brought me to tears upon first listen (when the music cuts at the end and the Gregorian Choir fades in... goosebumps all over!)

so many interpretations of this song, so ethereal... I believed the song to be about a man - who feeling 'love' for this girl, forces himself on her - stealing her virginity... (she cries, tears, against her will). Years pass, when she reminds him of his crime, he denies any memory. But she knows 'it happened quiet' ... 'so quiet' (i.e., in secret) - When she addresses his darkness he becomes loud & entitled, she stops him, "don't you speak over my voice!" ... and in the end, affirms she will rise above his shadows in her own light... (Wondering if anyone else heard this? : / very heartbreaking reality for too many).
