- Let's go back to 1983 and remember the triumphant comeback of an '80s pop princess (part-time ring leader) Britney Spears with her smash hit 'Circus' from an album of the same title.
After a string of severe setbacks in her personal life way back in the '70s she showed everyone that she was still capable of being a true artist and THE princess of pop by releasing club-driven pop single with hints of italo-disco that forever influenced the club scene.

Title says 1983, but stylistically and definitely in terms of instrumentation you're leaning closer to 1988 (the Roland D-50 Brass has the late 80s written all over it). That extremely nerdy criticism aside, it's a fantastic edit! It could easily pass for Hi-NRG or Italo Disco from the late 80s.
She was a true visioneer and a genius innovator in the post-disco era.
