@@kendi5391 Sorta. I'd assume Onomatopoeia would have the same reasoning he has for killing Vigilantes. Because he's bored. I love the conceot, because hes so god damn quiet. Everyone else has a philosophy, a thesis to share. Not this guy. All he has to share with you is what you already know: the sounds he makes. Its bizzarely chilling.
I figured the reason he wasn't included in the list of villains was because he just didn't have enough lines to be included. Not necessarily that he won't have a big role.
Fun fact: Mr. Blank in CW's "Arrow" was originally going to be Onomatopoeia but they couldn't figure out how to translate his gimmick from the comic book to the TV screen.
i hope that they give onomatopoeia the power to make onomatopoeia's come to life, like making a finger gun and yelling "BLAM!" shoots a bullet or shockwave, or yelling "BOOM!" and making a button press motion causes an explosion to go off, mostly because i think that it would be fun to see him finally live up to his namesake
I'm pretty intrigued and excited to see how they'll adapt Onomatopoeia into the world of animation. I always thought he was just made for the comic book medium in mind.
I hope they give him an actual power. I know there's something to be said for regular people who can go toe-to-toe with real supers (just look at Brock Samson), but that's something we have a lot of in Batman anyway- and I can't get over how cool it would be if his power was to create the actual circumstances his sound effects are associated with by saying them- like, for instance, holding a finger-gun to someone and saying "bang" as they're actually shot by an "invisible bullet" that doesn't really exist.
Personally I like the idea of him having minor audio precognitive abilities - he could hear sounds before they happen, letting him do his sound gimmick more effectively and also be uniquely tricky to fight.
I'm glad you referenced those onomatopoeia violence sounds from the 1960s show. This character always reminded me of them. Probably what gave his creators the idea.
Honestly, with him being adapted to show, I hope they do something I’ve been hoping for a while, and that’s give him the power to cancel out sounds. Like onomatopoeia’s main gimmick is that he said the sound along with the action, and I believe it someone stated he could only work in print because the sounds where written/onomatopeias. But giving him sound cancellation, so he would say Boom and then an entire explosion would be completely silent, would make the action more striking and a cool opportunity to make him more a skilled hitman type character

Might lead to Batman going to need a help of some certain mechanic in the Gotham slums.
It would be fun if they play with the multiple secret identities angle. It would leave Bruce, and the viewer, on edge as you never know who's an ally and who is just Onomatopoeia waiting to stab Batman in the back.
i think Onomatopoeia should act as like a riddler esc figure except instead of puzzles or personal trivia he's just especially manipulative and good at it too
My friend had a theory about him linked to the popular one that the Penguin is a woman in this version: the Caped Crusader is going to use Addison and Aiden Cobblepot, Oswald's twins from recent comics, with Addison (Penguin's child that most resembles him physically and psychologically) serving as the Penguin in the series (possibly with Oswald having served as the previous mob boss of the setting but being dead or imprisoned by the present) and Aiden (Penguin's son who got completely shafted out of a personality) becoming the Onomatopoeia of this setting as a combination serial killer-hitman for his family's gang. With the contrast being marked between his bland and muted personality out of costume opposite his outlandish yet disturbing persona as Onomatopoeia when out killing.
I doubt he will have any speaking lines. I feel he will be a silent assassin and you will only hear the "Bang" of a gun, or an explosive"Boom" sound effect
Well onomapia could be a character that could give me a reason to watch this show . I'm thinking about re reading the Kevin Smith Green Arrow run . I'm into the weird obscure dc characters that the ones everybody knows Like more weird and obscure characters & less the boring played out Joker please.
How could I not be excited for Bruce Timm and crew updating another obscure villain? I don't know if he'll be a big deal or even remotely interesting, but I want to see this star-studded team take a crack at it. Also, just gotta say, that panel of Ollie holding the arrow in Onomatopoeia's mouth... 👀 Yipe.
I doubt he will appear as a cameo or something. As you said before, Bruce Timm and his team are known for providing some development to lesser-known villains like Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze. Well, I think they will give him something important.
If I ever wrote Onomatopoeia for aDC cartoon, I'd make him a metahuman who can create cones of silence around him, where only he can still talk and make noises, so out of fun he makes his own.
Na I like the fact that batman and his villains are just normal humans in a costume. Onomatopeia is just a guy with a gun, Just have him be autistic that is why he makes the noise a wired social tick,
a hitman is often who I picture Ono, do I like his design, also the tv show could do something clever with it where upon they put words of his actions on the big screen with him saying them, for example we can have scene where Ono unpacks and assemble a rifle, not saying a single word before ono say "bang" where we see the words BANG on the screen in red along with him firing the bullet, that one idea how I picture they use Ono for a tv adaption.
It's funny whenever a comic creator sais that they specifically create a character that is unadaptable for other media. But then, a new creator(s) find a way to do just that!
I always wondered, does he perfectly mimic the sound or does he just the say the word associated with the sound. Like does he mimic a gun-shot or just say "Bang".

My personal suspicion is that Onomatopoeia is not listed because he will become *another* villain. Can't help but find some tonal and stylistic similarities between him and the pre-Joker Jack Napier, for example. Double life? Check. Gangster attire? Check. Utterly insane but cleverly hiding it? Double check.
OMG ONOMATOPOEIA!!!!! 😁😁😁, he's by far my favorite Green Arrow Villain (Sorry Merlyn) he should stay a Green Arrow Villain this character is fucking brilliant,(he's creepy, Mysterious and Scary) it's a damn shame he never turned up on Arrow, if he did he would have been instantly memorable and he'd probably be the one for Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen/Green Arrow would be scared of, if Onomatopoeia did turn up in the Arrowverse I'd have him as a mysterious feared Mercenary who turns up in Star City with Duffle bags filled with Money and military hardware and he manipulates multiple Crime Syndicates to start a gang war, Onomatopoeia would also be wanted by The FBI, CIA, A.R.G.U.S, Interpol for Crimes and Assassinations across The World, Michael Rosembaum I think would have been a great casting choice for a live action Onomatopoeia Technically Onomatopoeia did turn up in Superman and Lois but the problem is, it's not in the Arrowverse, it's in its own Universe and it was gender swapped, if he's a guest character on this show, then sure why not, this is a character who's backstory should never be revealed at all, Keep The Mystery about him and absolutely do not reveal his name or his motivation Keep it a mystery, Kevin Smith should be proud that one of his greatest Comic Book Creations is getting his First Debut in a cartoon 😊😊😊

Remember when Twitter was rebranded to "Twitter no I will never call it X". That was a day. I don't call it anything because I don't want to be around it. It's okay to laugh at that joke.
Saying about the Trail video it got me thinking about that the villains appeared in the episode are not victims and this may be just a nitpick but you think that Mr Freeze,Clayface,Penguin and Maxie Zeus should have been in the episode some of them had genuine bad days?
Wow so they re-designed him in Superman literally in the past 2 years to be what every old school bad guy like this is now: A female who is super relatable and justified in her actions. To see that they are going back to his comic aesthetic in this show is reassuring, but funny to see back to back like this, since that’s not seen very often

Used the Joker as bait and then stabbed him hard in the heart? What a man.
4:06: And I thought Batman Adventures 2003 was bad enough.
I'm actually OK in case they kill of Alfred. Might lead to Batman going to need a help of some certain mechanic in the Gotham slums.
I also do find it interesting how Harley Quinn is on before the Joker
I think Onomatopoeia will be hired by someone in an episode either that’s who Falcone mob boss was calling or Penguin hires him.
It would be fun if they play with the multiple secret identities angle. It would leave Bruce, and the viewer, on edge as you never know who's an ally and who is just Onomatopoeia waiting to stab Batman in the back.
That would be cool
i think Onomatopoeia should act as like a riddler esc figure except instead of puzzles or personal trivia he's just especially manipulative and good at it too
Onomatopia should appear in a future Batman Arkham game
Maybe Injustice 3 too
The fact that Onomatopoeias alias is technically Deadshot
Think I only remember this guy from that Kevin Smith comic wheee he appeared in.
Green Arrow must be really mad that Batman stole his iconic villain.
Well Ollie did snatch many Bat & Titans foes for his CW show 😅
He owed Bats one for taking villains for his show.
Spoiler you are 100% percent right.
I'm into the weird obscure dc characters that the ones everybody knows
Like more weird and obscure characters & less the boring played out Joker please.
Gah, one of my fave villians
Onomatopeia is just a guy with a gun, Just have him be autistic that is why he makes the noise a wired social tick,
Feels like he's just gonna be a one off villain.
He doesn't have a "black and white target" on his mask, it's supposed to represent sound-waves.
and yet, when Green Arrow has him in his sights, it looks just like a target ;)
@@SerumLake - True, true, but since I often see this mistake made, I figured I'd made it clear here ^^
Cheers!
a hitman is often who I picture Ono, do I like his design, also the tv show could do something clever with it where upon they put words of his actions on the big screen with him saying them, for example we can have scene where Ono unpacks and assemble a rifle, not saying a single word before ono say "bang" where we see the words BANG on the screen in red along with him firing the bullet, that one idea how I picture they use Ono for a tv adaption.
It's funny whenever a comic creator sais that they specifically create a character that is unadaptable for other media. But then, a new creator(s) find a way to do just that!
Remember, sir. It's Bill Finger and Bob Kane
I always wondered, does he perfectly mimic the sound or does he just the say the word associated with the sound. Like does he mimic a gun-shot or just say "Bang".

i want Onomatopoeia to be a main villain in a green arrow movie who agrees ? and make it happen james gunn
Bang
Onomatopoeia AND Gentleman Ghost? what is this, christmas?
Onomatopoeia also appeared in Superman and Lois but as a woman
I like this villian i dont care if he comes off as a joke villian, the sounds he make can be distractions to the heroes like joker laughing. Just hope he is used well in the future of the series
do you think they will make him a Hitman wokring for the mob?
they’re gonna make kevin smith cry again i just know it
My personal suspicion is that Onomatopoeia is not listed because he will become *another* villain. Can't help but find some tonal and stylistic similarities between him and the pre-Joker Jack Napier, for example. Double life? Check. Gangster attire? Check. Utterly insane but cleverly hiding it? Double check.
OMG ONOMATOPOEIA!!!!! 😁😁😁, he's by far my favorite Green Arrow Villain (Sorry Merlyn) he should stay a Green Arrow Villain this character is fucking brilliant,(he's creepy, Mysterious and Scary) it's a damn shame he never turned up on Arrow, if he did he would have been instantly memorable and he'd probably be the one for Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen/Green Arrow would be scared of, if Onomatopoeia did turn up in the Arrowverse I'd have him as a mysterious feared Mercenary who turns up in Star City with Duffle bags filled with Money and military hardware and he manipulates multiple Crime Syndicates to start a gang war, Onomatopoeia would also be wanted by The FBI, CIA, A.R.G.U.S, Interpol for Crimes and Assassinations across The World, Michael Rosembaum I think would have been a great casting choice for a live action Onomatopoeia
Technically Onomatopoeia did turn up in Superman and Lois but the problem is, it's not in the Arrowverse, it's in its own Universe and it was gender swapped, if he's a guest character on this show, then sure why not, this is a character who's backstory should never be revealed at all, Keep The Mystery about him and absolutely do not reveal his name or his motivation Keep it a mystery, Kevin Smith should be proud that one of his greatest Comic Book Creations is getting his First Debut in a cartoon 😊😊😊
1:30 Me too.
1:56 Who is that he took out?
Onomatopoeia should be voiced by Michael Winslow
Few questions.
You ever gonna cover MAWs or Teen Titans?
Also, with STAS, you ever gonna cover Myxie?
Never say never, but My Adventures With Superman and Teen Titans are fairly low on my priority list. I’m more interested in talking about the DCAU shows before anything else.
Mxyzptlk came fourth in my Superman villain poll, so he is coming in a couple of months.
@@SerumLake I am sad that batmite never showed up in BTAS (That we know of)
How about he kills mobsters
Onamonipea could be a corrupt politician using a guise to gain trust among the freak villains
Do you think he says all those sounds as a distraction and to make him appear not as serious a threat as his opponents think he is?
Now for the ultimate question: Can Bruce Timm's talent overcome the handicap of JJ Abrams?
Look, mom! I made it into a youtube video in a section where they show off comments!
do we know whos voicing him ? i loved the tad of the voice we heard
Give him the ability to do actual finger guns and we'll talk.
What if he’s the big villain and they didn’t want to ruin anything?
