    Hi Tyler, those lights look pretty cool. Several years ago I went with a set of budget model 9" 32 LED ARB knock-offs for around $140 - Looks like they're even cheaper now (see link). They even came with clear rock guard shields, but they eventually yellowed and looked crappy, but the lights themselves have not discolored. These budget lights have worked flawless for many years. I like that you mounted the relay in the headlight pocket, I'll have to steal a page out of that book, seeing how my firewall is maxed out with relays! Because i don't like to have to fumble around to flip on/off those front aux light switches (especially when an oncoming car surprisingly appears), I tap into the high-beam lead at the headlight for the relay 'on' switch, so when my cabin switch is on, I can quickly turn my aux lights on/off with my high-beam switch. Also, because the stock Disco headlights aren't that bright (even with the brightest bulbs you can buy), I added a set of Rigid Cubes as my "high-beam helpers." They are also tied into my high-beam lead. This way i have a couple light options to choose from... bright, or crazy bright! Thanks for the vid! ARB knock offs: a.co/d/gEK1zFG

      Oh those lights look good too. Thanks for sharing. I’ve wired driving lights into the high beam circuit on cars before, but I was thinking that I want as many different options as possible. Low beam, highs, driving lights, or any combination. I think as far as lights, the next thing I want to do is some rear-facing lights. After having the new lights on for a bit, I got used to that level of brightness, and couldn’t see anything behind me when I had to reverse on the trail.

      @@tfrasca142 Yeah, back-up lights are great - I have a set up on the rack and will add a set into the new rear bumper I'm installing. Side lighting on the rack is nice too.

    Went through and watched basicslly all your videos tonight. Love the channel. Your disco is awesome. Practically perfect. Are you still considering 35s ? I think the 255 85s look amazing on there.

      Wow, thanks. I’m actually finishing up a video about 35s now. I’m doing what I can to keep the look similar though. Check out my newest post for a picture of the new tires.

      @tfrasca142 they actually don't look too wife from those pics. My biggest issue visually with 35sbis typically width not height. Look forward to the video

    Im sure its a troll, BUT :) the split washers is a locking washer tha is designed to bite int the contact surface and henc locks it in place. if you place to the contact surface, it will bit into that surface and ruin the pain/powder coating. So thats why there is a flat washer for it to bite into. :)

    • @tfrasca142
      @tfrasca142  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      My comment on that was about the fact that they provide a split washer AND a nylock nut. The nylock nut should be more than enough to keep it all tight.

      Good to hear. I'm honestly surprised more people aren't running them. In a perfect world, I'd love to buy US made products, but you just can't argue with the performance and price of these.

    I've been using their T1 headlights and brights in my 02' Accord and so far, they've lasted 4.5 years now. I've never been able to keep a regular bulb last more than a year. Plus compared to a regular bulb these LED lights are so much better in almost every way. Accept in the winter when it's snowing. All the kickup from the ground or water freezes on the headlights when I'm on the freeway and since they run so much cooler than incandescent the snow ice mix sticks to the headlight and doesn't melt like it used to. But that only happens like 2 or 3 times a year.

      Good to hear a long term review on some Aux Beam stuff. I have a different brand LED in my headlights and have also experience them freezing up in heavy snow. Luckily, I think these driving lights do get warm enough to avoid that.

    Thanks for the video. It’s too bad Auxbeam doesn’t mail USPS to US military APO addresses overseas. I know a quite a few Disco owners on the LR forums swear by their products.
    Cheers from a Disco 2 V8 owner in the UK! 🇺🇸🇬🇧

    I know I might be nitpicking, but isn't the relay exposed to more (unnecessary) heat in theat headlight well/location, in the summer time? All in all, nice video. wish you'd put more footage with the lights on/off and comparison between low/high/auxbeam :) But, as I said, this is just nitpicking :))))

    • @tfrasca142
      @tfrasca142  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      More heat than if it was inside the cabin, but less than if it was in the engine bay. I think it’ll be ok there.
      And yeah, I had some technical difficulties shooting the comparison unfortunately.
