Thank you so much for this! I used this on my old Simba Dreamland Pony today and it worked wonders :) I love your channel and the care and dedication with which you go about all of your projects!
Thank you so much!! My most valuable ponies have such disastrous hair but I quick trip to the thrift store for a old hair iron and the local pharmacy for cheap checkout lane hand cream worked wonders!! Thank you!!!
Thanks so much for these videos, I recently found a box of old ponies from my childhood but was scared I'd wreck them if I tried to fix them up. I have an idea of what to do now!
Tengo un pony que está horrible jaja en el pelito y empecé a hacerle lo mismo , y omg que diferencia. Pense que no tenía arreglo . Muchísimas gracias ❣️
Ah, you have to be careful with tinsel! It's best to not use the straightener in that case. Try fabric softener and hot water (nor boiling). If you repeat the process a few times it works quite well 😊
After straightening you said wash hair with regular soap so would using shampoo be bad at this point? What do you consider regular soap? Bar soap, BBW hand soap?
Do the very ends of the hair also go straight? I've been trying to fix a build a bear fluttershy's hair but even with the straighteners the very tips refuse to completely straighten. Is it not possible to get the ends right?
It's very very difficult :/ I haven't managed to get mine perfect yet. Some people trim them... It's no tan ideal option. I hope to redo this video at some point and add more techniques.
Yep, you are correct :) This was the first technique I tried and it gave me good results without risking the high temperatures. I want to do a series of these videos, so hopefully, I can cover lots of techniques (they just didn't receive much attention so I limited myself to more restoration videos)
This is for when boil washing just isn't working. Some pony (and doll) hair is just too frizzy even for boiling and long conditioner treatments (my Salty is like this, he's just a fuzzy mess even after multiple boil washes and leaving conditioner in overnight) so this is the last step before a full reroot.
@@RetroGeekCrafts ~ Hi ^_^ Did you ever make the video about defrizzing MLP hair using the boiling technique (mentioned in these comments)? If not, please can you share the link to a video that demonstrates that technique? Many thanks ^_^
Thank you :) :) I never watched the original My Little Pony cartoons but I enjoyed Friendship is Magic! Very curious to see what the new ones will be like!
I love the tail wiggle at the end. So cute! :)
Thank you! 😊
@@RetroGeekCrafts what website do you get your ponys from exactly

Que bueno!!! Me alegra muchisimo. Y de nada 😊😊
I have a g3 bee bop pony. She has the worst frizz but im worried about the straightener cuz she has tinsel in her hair as well. Any suggestions?

@@RetroGeekCrafts Ahh I see, thank you! If I may ask, is the hydrate cream just to protect the hair from the heat?
Will this work for the g3 McDonald's ponies?
i think a boil wash would be quicker and easier, but this still gets results c:

What temperature do you set the straighteners at? Want to do mine but scared - I usually use a steamer!
theres no option to change the heat on my straightener 😭
Cool🤩Do you like cartoons because my mom is a fan of Scooby-Doo I like My Little Pony 2
