I had mine yesterday afternoon. Was told it wouldn’t work for a week. Woke up this morning with only a tiny bit of discomfort. I could actually get out of bed without using bad language at the top of my voice. Bliss!
Hi Doctor. Glad to see you posting. I've been following you for the last weeks. I've been sufferring from NDPH for almost 2 years. I'm in terrible pain but your videos and your knowledge give me hope. I'm from Colombia and I'm planning to move to USA for nerve decompression surgery. Is there any way to call you in order to explain you my pain? I hope to be a candidate. Greetings Sir and thank you for being there helping people like us
I had three steroid nerve blocks, a solution of celestone and marcaine in the last year. First two blocks worked like a charm for my lesser occipital pain. The third recent nerve block exacerbated my pain. Over two weeks and no pain relief yet since the third injection. I regret getting the third nerve block but it pushed me over the edge. Now I am highly suspect of a compressed nerve or nerves. Reaching out to this clinic from Canada.
Had a C8 nerve block. Herniated disc in C7 T1. Horrible pain after. Worse than before the shot. Nerve pain shoots down my arm non stop. I wonder what he does from here
I just saw a neurosurgeon and he told me i have ocipital neuralgia and told me try steriod shot in neck. I dont really like the idea. But i have no idea what else to do. Headaches almost everyday. This is very interesting
I’m not sure if I had a stroke or what happened I had Covid three times and I felt my brain swelling down like my neck area. My school plates had moved and overlapped over each other my scalp for a year. I couldn’t really speak right my eyes were glossy, my leg was kind of like dragging it still does, though I used to rollerskate but I mean it’s a lot better now . I’m trying to get back to work. I’m gonna go back to work. It’s been three years. I want to try to get this done. Try to get some sort of a life back. Thank you for posting these videos.
I went to a second opinion neurologist in Charlotte, North Carolina. I have hydrocephalus and I am trying to look for a neurologist who specializes in hydrocephalus. I battle debilitating headaches everyday. He has put me on oral medications for now and he has also suggested to try injections in the neck. (I think he called them nerve blockers). (he thinks some nerves in my neck are inflamed). I am really scared about this and want to get another opinion before I jump into this nerve blocker injection treatment thing.
I am sorry. I’m facing a nerve black procedure in my neck. I’m nervous. Ugg. I’m afraid if the work blocked doesn’t work I will be facing surgery. At this point of time I would be thinking of surgery. The pain unmanagable, so nut sunrises good luck and Goox k Bless yuh that

Dr I got a blind nerve block injection for my headaches and now my whole head is in fire. The headaches have been a lot worse for 8 days now without being able to get any relief from any medication. they are shooting pain into my scalp and eyes. thank you
You probably got a steroid shot that is causing local irritation of the nerve. This likely means that the nerve is the problem and you would respond well to nerve decompression surgery.
What if occipital nerve ablation don't work? Well it worked..... I went from debilitating migraines to pressure headaches and fatigue quickly with no change in double vision 😫. It got better but still in pain a different way now
I had some occipital nerve blocks then A couple just lidocaine shots two in mid neck and two in trap, and my throat and nose went numb. And they almost called a ambulance . I couldn’t talk right, couldn’t swallow . But after a few it started to get better and I could talk again. I had a slight numbness in throat and even down to stomach for a few hours after. I have had many shots like this so this was odd. What went wrong here?
Just got my iud removed and another inserted same day and a nerve block twice 10 mg ml in my pudenal nerve and wow this is the day after and man am I dealing with these stabbing flares. Pins and needles feeling down my left leg and exacerbating my lower back sacral joint pain can barely walk. Really hurts. Do these have the ability to make you really really tired ? I have felt exhausted all day today and yesterday.
Thanks for the video, I’ve got a couple things going on, I’m on a search to find out why I had severe nerve pain from my root canal, I finished the procedure at a second visit without and it was much less traumatic , it lasted a couple of days, and I was on morphine because I had just tore my tricep muscle, that pain was horrible, bad enough so now that they want to repair my tricep, and offered me a nerve block I turned it down. I do believe it’s the same medicine, but I want to know what went wrong before I make a final decision against the nerve block, I feel they wouldn’t of offered if it’s not needed and looking at this surgery, it looks very painful. They’re attaching my tendon by making holes in my elbow after wrapping it like a shoe lace! Wish I knew what todo
Can you tell me something please! I had surgery in September and they put a nerve block in my elbow. Because my elbow was blocking my nerves going to my left hand. Now, my whole left side like I’m getting sharp electrical shock in my leg and hand. Can you please explain why
I just recently had a nerve root block on left side going in from the front to C6,7 . My question is after the numbing agent wore off my pain of course was a little better after a couple hours, but the next day my ring finger and pinky on the left side started hurting like they needed popped or something, then they went numb. By the next day they were hurting again, But my pointer finger and middle finger went numb. So three days later my whole left arm and hand went numb, and was useless. About 7 hours later my arm was less numb, and started working again , but way less strength, was having heart palpitations, and major headache, and then neck pain started, and now lots of neck pain like extreme burning, my arm still feels weird on the inside all the way from above my armpit and my hand has pins and needles except the pinky and ring finger they are numb again, and all the way down my spine to mid back is killing me. Is this normal? I got the shot the 13th @ 140 pm it’s now almost the 18th. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
That sounds a lot like my symptoms and I've never had a nerve block injection ever. I went to the pain specialist and he suggested nerve block to help mitigate these symptoms. Hmm.
A nerve block does NOT include steroids, nor is a peripheral nerve block anywhere near the epidural space. Be sure you work with a knowledgeable physician rather than one who does not know the difference between a nerve block and an epidural steroid injection.
@@adamlowensteinMy pain is skyrocketing right now. I am so confused and my next specialist appointment is in weeks. I have a disc herniation at L5-S1 level, I was told by Ostheopath that I was getting bilatetal 3 levels facet nerve block (my pain is predominantly on the right side). However during the procedure he only did right L4 and L5 a month ago. Why he didn't L5-S1 where's my disc herniation? From a column orthopedist I had an order of a bilateral L5-S1. When I asked why he only did to levels in one side, he told me he did'nt want to traumatized myself. I feel that the nerve block was unsucessful I had a little improvement the last 3 months due to physical therapy I believe. What could be the next step? Can I get L5-S1 nerve block as suggested initially by orthopedist? I am really confused because this clinic sent me with another of his doctors and he is recommending me straight the radiofrequency ablation. Most of my pain comes from the sides of my sacrum and down the buttocks.

I’m getting a nerve block soon. But I have a colloid cyst in my brain and I think that’s why I have these constant headaches and neck pain.
Sorry to hear what happened to you & I hope you are better now seven months later, but I have a question for you - Did the nerve block help?

Hi Dr,
Pain after a nerve block that irritates the nerve should be temporarily as there is no clear injury, or could be permanent?
Thanks
Suboccipital nerve problems can do this too. I'm going to see a chiropractor. I'm not living like this

Nerve blocks never gave me any relief. Severe DDD.
I thought i was going to die physically the worst pain etc...never, ever again. I would die first!
The pain can be rough when the block is not done correctly! Sorry to hear about your experience.
I was given a nerve block for distal radial fracture surgery. Is it possible to feel pain in the affected limb, even though it’s unable to move?
