Thanks for continuing to produce such concise and helpful videos. Another way I check running shoes is, if I suspect they are too worn, I switch to a fresh pair to see the difference. In my case, I tend to start rolling off to one side when the supportive layers have become weakened.
Very good tip!
Good advice.
I have a spreadsheet for my shoes. Right now I'm rotating between 4 different pairs.
After every run I will fill out the spreadsheet. Little bit of work bu not too bad
Have a great day 🙂
Thank you for this video - I’ve looked at my running shoes to see if I need to retire some & this helped
Glad it was helpful!
My shoes where due for a replacement. The ones I wanted weren't available. I still had a pair of barefoot running shoes collecting dust from a failed attempt to transition. Since my mileage has significantly decresed last year I thought I'd give it another go. I started really slow and with short runs. Also I seem to get more of a stimulus out of less kilometers and it's super fun. No more worries about the cushion and life cycle of my shoes. However I already have been wearing barefoot, or at least zerodrop, wide toebox shoes exclusively for years.
I think you highlight an important point - you've already built your walking endurance for a long time in them and then transitioned to running in a sensible way.
thank yoou😊😊
Welcome!!
Good morning I have watched your videos and love them but no more running at my age I will be having a Knee Replacement on the bright side I will be able to walk a lot more. Hopping to find a video from you about Knee Replacement and what I need to do and keep on doing. Have a great day
Thank you for the kind words. Our only video about knee replacements happens to be about ... whether you can run after a knee replacement! 😊 Here it is, for what it's worth: th-cam.com/video/ydAwHQgV9eY/w-d-xo.html
Good morning ma,what about footballer, when is the best time to change it?
I actually don't know the answer!
@@SportsInjuryPhysio, finally, somebody who is able to say "I don't know". :)
Can you sometimes just replace the insole rather than the entire shoe?
Not if the outer sole or top fabric is worn too much - in most shoes the insole really doesn't add much
