      Thanks for your good feedback! We get applause especially if the approach was challenging or the landing very smooth. Some times we do not hear it because of the reinforced cockpit door. But the cabin crew usually is telling us about it. Have a nice day!

    Eine sehr schöne und tolle Idee. Ich liebe deine Arbeit (sowohl im Cocpit, wie auch für die Erstellung der Videos) Was ich mir wünschen würde (und ich glaube auch viele andere), wäre ein Anflug + Landung bei so richtig anspruchsvollem Regenwetter mit Sturm und Turbulenzen. ;-) Starte gut in die Weihnachtszeit!     Why ATC giving landing clearance so late.here its around 700ft.

      Good question. Some countries allow ATC to clear airplanes to land even as number 2 in approach or if the runway is still blocked by another airplane. Here the Tower controller waited until the preceding airplane had left the runway. With this regulation in place, it is quite normal at busy airports to receive a late landing clearance at 700 feet or even later.

    Good day, do you always correct the VLS speeds after receiving the wind value?

      No, we check the VLS after the airplane is in the final landing configuration. We compare then the displayed VLS on the PFD which is calculated from the FAC computer on the basis of aerodynamic data and our entered CG with the VLS on the MCDU which is calculated on the basis of our entered Zero Fuel Weight plus the remaining fuel.

    On approach and landing do you have auto thrust on or on manual at 180 knots, and what knot speed is landing on flaps full?

      This approach was done with manual thrust and the landing was done with flaps full. As you can see on the PFD in the video at 03:47, the approach speed target is at about 140 knots. If would land with flaps 3, the target would be about 5 knots higher. The pilot flying decides about the use of autothrust and the flap position for landing. Have a nice day!

    as uerule approch is auto thrust . why this land is disconect auto thrust??

      The pilot flying decides if he or she wants to use autothrust or not during the approach. Both is possible.
