Man, I love your tutorials: no nonsense, straight to the point. I feel like you are talking pilot-to-pilot, and not filling the video with fluff. Best on the web!
New to flight sim; thank you so much for this tutorial - being able to see the stick in the video, the advice about small "pull and release" movements to 5 degrees at 50 feet; all that helped a lot and was a game changer to get my first decent flare and landing. As a newbie, I was trying to start everything at 30 feet which I think is the official recommendation, but I was having a hard time. 50 feet for now seems to give me some more breathing room to get the pitch right. Thanks again!
I just found your channel a few days ago and wow i love it! This is helping me out BIG time as i learn to fly the FBW A320. Keep up the great work...a new sub here.

I can see where I’ve been going wrong in Xplane now. I’ve been flying this bird (A330) like a Boeing with continuous inputs, which made it bloody hard to catch the glideslope and let alone flare it. Cheers!
I recently saw one of those internet "researches", where it claimed that more than 40 or 50 percent of men, would feel confident to land a plane if asked to do so in a critical situation. I'm watching this video at 1a.m. and feel that it could even be a butter smooth landing 🤣
That's an intriguing suggestion. I'll explore it further. Technically, combining and sequencing the videos in the channel could create a course tailored for a specific purpose.
I have followed your channel from the start. Great work, Captain. I am trying to learn crosswind landings, so do you suggest a video to learn the technique of how to do this?
i was surpirsed about the number of likes because this video was so intresting and cannot have this less likes then i saw when u posted the video haha keep going ur videos
Excellent video! As always! And good one especific video to learn! SO, flaps 3 config landing , apart from the airport noise recomendation or economic saves Fuel recomendation from companies, the landing with flaps 3 is use better in bad weather or strong winds? Thanks! For all your videos! I see it as it was like an oustanding Netflix series ,because i know i 'm learning a lot from an expert in an outstanding simulator facilities like yours at Dubai. it's a really gift for us. Thanks!
Thanks so much for your kind words, and YES you did bring up a very good point, in fact procedure recommends that in severe crosswinds with high gusts we are to use flaps 3 as it’s less drag coefficient helps with the situation. Humbled by your kind words, Infact when I read the comments subscribers leave always motivates me to work harder on the channel.
Great Video Sir, how do you synchronize the rudders with the sidestick during landing. Especially if its a crosswind or a normal landing. Would love to see a video on that. Cheers!
The A320 takes care of rudder coordination for you. At most a slight squeeze to line up before the nozewheel touches according to what I have heard. Then again... I am a novice computer pilot so by no means take anything I say seriously 😂
Hey! Landing in a crosswind In a big fast jet my technique is to usually just use the Ailerons all the way down to the point where I'm over the flare for the runway, keeping the rudders free for when I need them the most. Once a few feet over the runway I push the rudders to "de-crab" the A/C pointing the nose down the end of the runway while deflecting the Ailerons into the wind to stop the crosswind from lifting the wing. Hope this helps.
Great video!!!New pilot a little question here:In the video you said “when you in the flare, you never pull and hold…”but at 30ft it will pitch down 2 degrees automatically in 8s,like a direct law, doesn’t that mean I need to pull and hold below 30ft ?🤔hope for the explanation, thank you
Bro, this is very good. I will try it later. This is the most in depth tutorial on landing. Do you think this is also same for a boeing? But I am using airbus sidestick 😅
Thanks, actually it’s the way our screens are setup so it does give a crabbing look to it, I was also flying in a cross wind which intensified the crab… If anyone has any suggestions on how to get perfect FOV with a 3 screen setup on msfs2020 we would be super grateful 🙏🏽
On the ND I see the winds coming from right, so naturally the plane would have it's nose pointed to the right. But somehow it appears the plane is pointing it's nose to the left. Not really sure about setting up multiple screens for msfs, you might wanna visit the dedicated forum. But the videos still serve it's purpose, so it's just fine:) Great content!
Sir thank you so much for the valuable explanation. Can you make a video about the traffic circuit, rejected takeoff, OEI takeoff, speed changes, ILS approach and other maneuvers in raw data expected at a simulator assessment during hiring process
I have a question as to what happens if you constantly pull the side stick. I assume it will constantly pitch up ? Same if you push side stick to reduce pitch will it do the same?
@@waypointsaviation I am confused by this. You mentioned that once you hit 50' the airplane goes into "direct input mode", therefore if we hold the stick in certain position, shouldn't the plane hold that position ? If "direct input mode" is established, why should the pitch increase when holding the stick back ? I am just trying to clarify ideas. 😉 Thanks
Imagine someone watching this to emergency land an Airbus A320, and this guy explains you how the automatic air trimming of the Airbus A320 works and how great it is for 15 minutes straight
Loved all your videos and content Capt. Way of explanation and clarity is awesome.😊😊 Please can you make a tutorial video on Flaps/Slats Fault/Locked especially the one with Alternate Law.
When pitching the A/C pulling the sidestick aft The moving surface is the TSH or the elevater! Or the elevater kicks in if high rate of pitch is required?
When you push and pull the side stick it’s the same elevator that moves first to change the aircraft’s AoA (Angle of Attack) and shortly then the THS moves to trim the a/c to the new AoA
Reality is subjective. Does it replicate the behavior of an A320 aircraft? Yes, completely. Does it feature cockpit interior? Absolutely. Does it simulate all professional failures like an actual plane? Yes, it does. However, is it supported by the aircraft manufacturer? No, it isn't. Does it cost millions of dollars to build? No, it doesn't. It's a fixed-base, personally crafted cockpit. Nevertheless, I appreciate your question.

Sorry buddy, but that's crap advice and take it easy. You don't "pull and release" during flare. That's not how you fly Airbus, that's only in every other phase of the flight where stick input means G loading. You *pull and hold* because you are in flare law, where elevators are directly linked to sidestick inputs. NO forward inputs in flare. The way you show it, you'll get PIO.
