I heard Sadghuru had a fondness for exploring vegetable markets and haggling with stall holders just for laughs - he even met an enlightened shopkeeper one time and shared some stories. I like to think of Mother Earth as a giant vegetable market and if you're willing her intelligence will speak to you even amongst the coconuts and rockmelons, the pumpkins and mangoes...let's go shopping 😋
I was in love with the idea of a Guru and as a westerner I looked at it through the lens of "savior" i guess from my Catholic upbringing and played the idea of "disciple" i had created in my head. In short, what an amazing disaster. In truth, I used it as an escape from standing in and taking responsibility for my life. At the same time, my prayers were sincere. There's much more to it but I needed that mind fuck and what came after it to finally wake me up to my own sovereignty and take responsibility and stop all outsourcing. I have zero regret. All of Life is my Guru and my self in truth and my sweet refuge is keeping with this through the sorrows and joys. An immense joy I am feeling listening to Satyaji these days after putting all my' practices' aside for a few years now and just being with life as it is and growing. Life only gives. Thank you Satyaji for being you.
Thank you Anna for sharing Satya ji’s wisdom with all of us. I came across his video on Instagram and I feel so blessed to listen to his perspectives and think about his words later. I’ve never looked at things in the way he has. It’s so beautiful! Thank you so much🙏🏼 I bow down to him🙏🏼🙇♀️
@@neilwarren4573 The concept of a guru in many spiritual traditions, especially in Eastern philosophies, is that of a guide who leads a student or disciple on a path towards enlightenment or self-realization. The role of a guru is often seen as distinct from that of a friend for several reasons: 1. **Expertise and Authority**: A guru is typically someone who has attained a high level of spiritual knowledge and experience. They are seen as an authority figure who imparts wisdom and guidance, which may require a level of detachment and objectivity that might not be present in a friendship. 2. **Discipline and Rigor**: The relationship with a guru often involves a structured and disciplined approach to learning and personal growth. This might include specific teachings, practices, or rituals that a friend, who is more of an equal and less of a mentor, may not be able to provide. 3. **Unconditional Support vs. Challenging Growth**: Friends offer support, comfort, and companionship, which are important in life. However, a guru's role may also involve challenging the student in ways that friends typically do not, pushing them beyond their comfort zones to foster spiritual growth. 4. **Attachment and Detachment**: A guru-student relationship is ideally one of detachment, where the focus is on the teachings and the student's progress rather than on the personal relationship. In contrast, friendships can involve emotional attachments that might hinder the objectivity needed for spiritual guidance. 5. **Role Clarity**: Having clear roles can help in setting expectations and boundaries. When a friend assumes the role of a guru, it can lead to confusion and potential conflicts of interest, as the lines between personal and spiritual guidance become blurred. It's important to note that these distinctions are based on traditional views and may vary depending on individual beliefs and the context of the relationship. Some people may find that a friend can also be a mentor or guide in certain aspects of life, including spirituality. However, traditionally, the roles of a friend and a guru are kept separate to maintain the integrity of the spiritual teaching process

Radhe , Radhe, such a wonderful conversation to listen to! You. BOTH by all appearances enjoy each other’s company! Very deep, dry deep conversation.❤🙏🙏🙏
We have seen none of gurus are sharing..what experience it brings when you go through this life changing thoughts that keeps you going all through... When you say are you ready for guru...? It really sparks question..if at all gurus had it with them they would have brought greater peace..to oneness
That is so true. I needed guidance in darkness but at a certain point i was confident enough to be the guide myself. When i realized i need to do it myself, everything was clear to me. But many don’t want to realize because it means you have to care for yourself when you are sad, angry, desperate, despressed, etc. And there is nobody that will do the work for you. But i mean i watched this video, i think maybe i still need a little bit of guidance haha
This poem by Adyashanti sums up for me what a guru does. I keep coming back to this whenever I catch myself giving too importance to myself- If you prefer smoke over fire then get up now and leave. For I do not intend to perfume your mind's clothing with more sooty knowledge. No, I have something else in mind. Today I hold a flame in my left hand and a sword in my right. There will be no damage control today. For God is in a mood to plunder your riches and fling you nakedly into such breathtaking poverty that all that will be left of you will be a tendency to shine. So don't just sit around this flame choking on your mind. For this is no campfire song to mindlessly mantra yourself to sleep with. Jump now into the space between thoughts and exit this dream before I burn the damn place down ! ― Adyashanti

AHAHAHAHAH this is beautiful! God is so dynamic! Truly how wonderful! This is nothing but Truth. What else can be said? In life many things happen, the most powerful of which is You. You happen. You are. Christ said “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.” See then? What is there to fear? For God is always here. “All power is within you; you can do anything and everything. Believe in that, do not believe that you are weak; do not believe that you are half-crazy lunatics, as most of us do nowadays. You can do anything and everything, without even the guidance of anyone. Stand up and express the divinity within you.” Yes, yes indeed Swami. I don't do anything. I literally do not do a thing. Awareness. Pure awareness. Om Tat Sat.
