But still travelling to his higher consciousness .

Just enjoy the process of upasana.
It will take time for your guru to arrive, maybe 1 year or maybe 5 years or maybe 10 years. Have patience and get into the depths of simple upasana/meditation.
When you are ready to experience higher energies, your guru will come or you will meet him somehow anyhow.
And.....
You should also be aware that you know who to make your guru, can you meet their expectations, do they genuinely have spritual knowledge or their and your goals are the same.
To know this, you should start upasana.....

If I may, I would like to add to this question. As a foreigner, who was raised Christian, it was 'Autobiography of a yogi' that started my experience of Sanatana dharmha. Still in the grip of full blown alcoholism & other drug issues, Mahadev came through quite clearly. After quitting, cold turkey, with the help of unseen masters, we were led to Sathya Sai Baba. Those experiences were something else. Being a late comer to Swami, through 'that book', Sri Guru Babaji then led me to Sadhguru & initiation into Kriya yog. Since then, I was permitted to stay at Ammajis ashram in Kerala & have also had darshan of Sri M. I am still ignorant of most languages of this vast country, not to mention the rituals but have met some interesting Sadhus, Swami's, Yogi's in my travels. I have noticed Mahadev & Mahavishnu have called many foreigners to these shores. As I still stumble my way through this expanse of spiritual wisdom my ignorance is still abundant. But I would just like to publicly acknowledge my gratitude to these beings for this opportunity.

You missed his point. You only need a guru if you want to do complicated formal sadhanas. If you do your own sadhana to connect to a deity on your own, for a long time period, the deity takes over and you don't need a guru to teach you to connect to to divinity anymore. Deities are more powerful gurus than any human guru.

I’ve come to not have a desire or want or need to pursue or create or find anything. I’m ok just being here right now. Hey Bhai, I'm an Indian from South Africa, coming from a half Tamil and half Hindu lineage. But I grew up Christian since a baby. I'm 30yrs now and recently I've been questioning everything about life and religion etc. I've been following Hinduism for the past few years because of my daughter who is special needs. She connects alot with the deity's and is so calm when mantra's are played. A few weeks ago i had an amazingly beautiful dream where I feel like I've been enlightened by lord Shiva's powerful energy in it's highest form, very similar to the colors in my logo... I have learnt a lot from you sir, it's crazy to think that you don't even know me and here I'm one of our students. This age of social media can really be a boon for people when the right streams of knowledge like yourself are exposed to the youth. I have already taken Guru dakshina but in my heart there are only two people I look upto as Guru and they are you and Swami Premanand Maharaj ji. I can connect to what you both say and I feel a kind of genuinity and connection.

My guru is lord shiva idk how did i get start connect to him but i know when did i get connect to him was my hardest time for sure he was the guide for me as my baba.. I simply called him with having the strong faith in my mind.. He was all there for me in every possible way.. he guided me, he did listen to me, he gave answer to my each and every questions..he helped me to get out of my obstacles in order to give me the strength, courage, faith, strong will power, happiness, awareness and paintence, blessinggs, clarity, stability, balance, harmony, abundance, peacefullness, happiness overall everything in my life... The concept of guru is completely different. To follow our path in the right way according to scriptures. The thing is Guru is someone who has walked the path you want to walk on and so they can help you in walking through that path through their own experience. Rajarshi Nandy ji is teaching us here about things that we are learning so in a way if you learnt something from him, he is also your Guru.
The Self is one’s real guru and guide and there is no difference between the Guru, Self and God.

I came home one day and immediately had the thought imagine if shiva came and gave me darshan. The thought just came randomly. 30 seconds later I pull my phone out and see this video on TH-cam, play it and was amazed after the first 40 seconds when rajarshi mentioned shiva coming and giving darshan to someone looking for a guru.

It is also said that you don't have to find Guru. Guru himself comes finding you or you are taken to your proper Guru " automatically " when you are ready to get guidance from him. And to become " ready " you have to make a base by just doing " namjap " of the deity you like on regular basis.

A very good Sadhna for this entire Guru thing is doing Dattatreya Mala Mantra. Look for the entire vidhan and do it properly. He definitely helps a lot getting blessings from the Gurumandal and takes you to a good physical guru if needed.

A very weird incident happened on dhanteras, a naga sadhu miraculously appeared at our gate, all that followed after in unexplainable and unbelievable, but since then I feel Kaal Bhairav is pulling us towards him, probably this is also because we feed, take care of and absolutely loveeee dogs, we do everything in our power to do as much as we can, and I feel our love for dogs has impressed him ❤️🧿

Recently, I have been watching many videos on TRS channel related to spiritual practices and beliefs and to be honest it has made me very curious. Me, being a woman, there are few questions which I am inquisitive about like ---
1. Is the spiritual journey same for both the genders?
2. Can a woman meditate when she is pregnant or menstruation ?
3. How is the flow of energy affected during these times of monthly cycles?
Will appreciate more light on such spiritual practices and rituals from a gender's perspective.
