I had a poodle who was raised by my three cats. He always acted exactly like the cats even after we had no cats. He always cleaned himself like a cat and never barked. When he wanted to go out,he would make a sound like he was clearing his throat while sitting by the door. He also played about like a cat and would go out and lay in a sunny spot every day for about 20 minutes. Everyone thought it was so funny.
My sister had a poodle who thought it was a cat when we were kids.

One of my dogs, a greyhound X whippet was a rescue and his earliest days not known about but it's unlikely he had cat company because he only wanted to chase any cat ever seen. However, he had several feline traits - curling up tightly to sleep, sitting with his front legs crossed over, washing in the manner of a cat, and - strangest of all - hissing from the back of his throat like a cat and arching his back if upset. Very special boy, much missed.

I still emember the dog we had when we were young. We never close the door when we use the toilet and my dog were able to see us. One day when we were not at home, he just pee on the toilet seat and messed up the toilet paper around the toilet seat seems like he need it after he pee. The rubbing stomach thing is the same for if cats like water, some do, some don’t, but it’s by popular belief that cats don’t like their tummy rubbed or don’t like being bathed in water.
I adopted an adult cat. She comes when you call, sits, sits up pretty, and lays down, on command. She also play fetch, I found out one day when I missed the waste paper basket. She was like, "game on!". I'm not sure if they pulled a bait-and-switch on me or what but, if she starts barking. . . . . . .
Joking aside, This is the coolest critter I ever met. I highly recommend giving an adult or senior animal consideration next time you need a 4 legged friend.

My border collie grew up as a pup with two rescue kittens and would use the litter box. I never taught her to do this. She just did it on her own!

I brought home a 5 week puppy. At home I had 6 indoor cats. My dog picked up habits from cats as they helped raise her. She loved to walk under our legs like my cats. A neighbor once said I ruined her raising her with cats. I'd rather say she accept the cat side of her personality. She was a terrific dog and I miss her very much.

@@harre9757 3 years old. I'm not qualified to give any in-depth answers to that other than they're very active dogs so it's important they get an outlet for that. It's better to get advice from people who have more professional knowledge about the breed.

My first babysitter was my mom’s copper husky. Apparently, I liked to be ‘in danger’ so that the dog, Mo, would pick me up by the back of whatever I was wearing and carry me back to my room.
I have a puppy that was a stray and I dont know he's breed but he is suspected to be part husky. He is so smart like for example in his cage he could unlock it by himself by just looking at us unlocking it and replicating what we are doing. When he is out I have gates around so he won't run to the kitchen and stuff but he learned how to open the gates by looking at us doing it. He just adapts to stuff and we have to do lock things that is physically impossible to do for him.

I've learned that huskies completely vary in personality and their surroundings 100% affect their behavior as puppies. I adopted my husky at just over 1 years old.. He literally never barks.. I think I've heard him maybe 2 or 3 times the past 4 years. He doesn't do the husky talk thing unless he's annoyed or anxious, but I basically spoil him so he's always content. He's also lazy for a husky, but it's because he has allergies/meds. He sun bathes in Vegas heat and hates when it's below freezing in the winter.
All animal have hearts. Just you need to love and care them

I Used to find my sock in the living room. I couldn't figure out how it got out there. This happened quite often. One day I noticed my cat actually dug a sock out of my drawer and was racing through the house with it in her mouth, like a dog. It wasn't the only dog like attribute she had. I used to say she was definitely a dog in a previous life.

My dog has spent enough time around a cat(s), so I relate to this video XD She is very quiet and ONLY barks if she suspects a threat or dangerous situation (but that's rare). She lays in the oddest positions and will squeeze/creep into any corner she can find. One time we couldn't find her and it turns out she was hiding under the bed. (DISCLAIMER: She's not that small of a dog so we were all shocked, LMAO.)

As a young girl I had a half golden Cocker/ half gold and creme colored Collie named Taffy. She was beautiful and a real sweetheart. Two baby kittens lost their mother and she nursed and raised them. We kept one and gave the other one away. The one we kept believed he was a dog. No joke. He did everything like Taffy but bark. He lived to be quite old and everyone that saw him was amazed. I painted a large portrait of Tammy nursing the two kittens and put it on the wall . That was 65 years ago and and people said if they hadn't seen it they wouldn't have believed it. So I understand why the dog in this story acts like a cat. My cat always thought it was a dog.

I had two dogs then got a kitten. Dogs raised the kitten. The cat learned to mind like a dog if cat was going somewhere it wasn't supposed to I could call his name and say no He would stop set down to think about it. Then get up flip his tail at me and walk away. Half dog half cat.
Had him for 16 years died in my arms.
My cat, Tag Along, would come in when I told him even if He didn't want to. If he started to follow me out of the yard he'd go back on a beeline when I told him, or stop whatever on command. Great black tabby cat. Still miss him & it's been 25 yrs since I lost him.

I had two sprollies ( collie / spaniels) one sister I had from 5wks old until she passed away at 16mths old. She was raised with my then 8 wk old tom cat. She would purr or try to purr at cuddle time, play with my cat and the cat followed her everywhere.
Then my dog (Petra) sister came along aged 4mths the Friday before the global lock down. She’s Sky.
Luna my cat took to Sky instantly.
Infact he thought he was a dog. He’d come for walks with us to the forest and walk between his “ little “ sisters so proudly.
He would scream if he didn’t go out with us or he’d follow us if we were going to the park.
Due to having a dodgy back and Sky was a strong puller she now lives with a friends son who is an ace new dad to her and I’m so proud how she’s blossomed

I have an elderly golden retriever and 3 cats. She was terrified of the kittens at first but she got used to them. All 3 male cats love their big sister but she prefers not to cuddle with them.

Many years ago my wife and I pulled into Walmart. We heard pitiful screams coming from underneath our vehicle. A quick inspection showed we were parked over a trash bag. Inside the bag was a small abandoned kitten. Of course we took the kitten home. At the time we had multiple dogs. After an adjustment period. Everyone got along great. The kitten earned the name Rascal. Growing up as a part of the pack, she picked up many of their habits. Instead of a litter box she would go to the door and ask her out when she needed to use the bathroom. She recognized her name and would come when you called her. She was fiercely protective of our kids. She would follow them down the driveway and wait for them to get on the school bus. Should go back down in the afternoons and wait for them to get home. That cat was the best dog I ever had.
The cats must be proud of Talley because they must be thinking one dog at a time we shall make them like us😼😼😼. I love both of the animals❤️❤️❤️

I also owned a Malamute. She was never vocal, always content lying around and observing life unfold around her. I agree they are hard to train and are very independent. If the dog has more Malamute traits, they will behave very much like this dog in the video. Huskies are more vocal, energetic, and sassy.They are two very different breeds.

Huskies typically do NOT bark. They are known to often talk and complain, but there are many who don’t talk much-they are mostly not barkers. They are also known to be mischievous.
But I do think their are cat influences. Cool dog.
What a beautiful dog. My cats all love my 12 year old dog. She is about the same size as the cats, but is certainly the boss. She has finally learned that if the cat lays on her on a cold night it keeps her warm.

I have a cat-dog. She's a "mini-boxer" which I didn't even know was a breed until after I adopted her. She bats at balled up paper like a cat, and stands on her hind legs to bat at things like a cat. She whisper-barks quietly to go outside, and she makes the cutest, softest sleeping noises like a cat purring.
