I got sleep paralysis by these 👽🛸 and my Bull Terrior sleep on my bed woke up and other saved me. I am so changed through that experience I have a prayer life now.

Same. I was really gunho about fostering and my first time was so emotional letting them go. Two of them - the third I adopted (oops).
I fell in love with my foster dog so much that I seriously considered moving to a house outside of the city just because he needed a lot of room to run around. I ended up not keeping him because my other dog HATED him. It hurt for months and I cried a lot but then life goes on... You see them happy and loved and you accept it.
Same. I'm currently fostering a kitten...let's just say that she's mine now. I can't imagine giving her away.

Wat is the purpose of cats kneeding? My cat does it a lot when she insists on being on my lap when I’m sitting down on the couch. She often kneeds my crotch as a result. At least she’s gentle.
@@baileydombroskie3046 shes making it more comfortable for her head or body. its also used as a self soothing technique since it makes them feel safe due to having to do it to feed from their mothers. they usually purr tho if its self soothing. if they do it to ya then youre a safe spot for them to sleep which is an honor with cats. that and them not watching ya when youre around them means they trust ya to not attack them and that they probably love ya since cats blink slowly then look away after making eye contact to show love and affection so ya do it back to express it to them.

My Great Dane!! She was raised with my adult cat and now, as an adult as well, she does so many normal cat things. It’s just hilarious seeing a giant dog mimic a cat 🤣
The other way round works too : my landlord has a 9 years old golden retriever and a 1 year old cat. The cat was raised with the big doggie. When I say "sit" to the dog, the cat sits too. So cute !

The puppy stage is very important for a dog’s development; it’s basically where they learn how to properly behave and interact with others. Most unsocial dog behaviors nowadays stem from the fact that many people/places sell or give away puppies before they have spent enough time with their mother and siblings (they need to stay with their mom preferably about 8-10 weeks).
@@snakesrule5 Yes that is so true. We rescued a nine month old large breed pup 15 years ago and she had dog aggression. We worked with a dog trainer who had a pack of dogs that she used to work with our dog. She also attended doggy daycare a couple days per week for many years and she gradually improved. Today she is a very friendly outgoing loving dog, but she is approaching the end of her life. She is still very healthy and active so we are hoping she will live a couple more years.

I can't do the job as a vet tech anymore , too physically demanding over the course of a 25yr long tenure at a Zoo , an Aquarium , Veterinary Clinics/Emergency Care locations , and dog grooming shops. I run my own grooming service currently. My love of animals specifically birds goes back to my first word as a baby was bird. So it might be genetic ! lol

Yes and foster fails are definitely awesome but it's also true, one could become overwhelmed and bogged down, things in life happen, next thing you kno, you're not able to rescue anymore due to this.

I've fostered two dogs and a cat until now and what happened was, that I realized that they already were at their forever home all along. I just didn't have it in me to give them away. So if I did more, I would end up with lots of animals just in my apartment. So I do what I can and try not to get overwhelmed. Sure there were some animals who needed rescuing, but I ended up having them only for a couple of days, one was for two weeks, before being able to get them to other foster families. I don't call that fostering, just a pitstop on their way to recovery. I just made sure they were healthy and somewhat strong, before giving them to other foster families.
Just do what you can, even if it is saving one innocent life, it will be worth it.

Awesome! The easiest and most helpful way to save innocent lives is to simply stop eating them and their byproducts. Animals we eat are innocent and humans have a choice. Why not choose to let them live?

Because once you work with a rescue and find out how many cats and dogs need a temporary place that is between the shelter and their permanent home, and how many little lives that will save, you can do it. I've done it dozens of times with mostly cats, and a few dogs. I've even had some cats with me for months. But everytime I foster I get a call from another rescue asking can I take another cat and I have to say no because I already have one, two, or three fosters. This makes you realize how very important Foster families are for animals. They get them out of the shelter, or overcrowded rescues, and you can socialize them, address any medical problems, and start looking for that permanent home so you can bring another animal or two into your home and do the same thing all over again. It really is the best feeling.

In December of 2010, I adopted a kitten (from the shelter) for my dog for Christmas. They did EVERYTHING together! Our dog died, from Hypothalmic Cancer, on January 30th, 2017.
I adopted another shelter dog on October 17, 2018. Rigel’s kitty wasted no time cozying~up with our new family member.

Really can't go wrong adopting a lab, retriever or shepherd, mix or purebred. All easy to train and very affectionate, just need a good home to be part of the family.

Can't go wrong with literally any breed. Bad dogs are the results of bad training/humans. Sure, temperament is to some degree genetic, but it's not hard to train most breeds. Pits are very trainable and loving too. I agree with the guy above, your first sentence is problematic, and I own a very expensive pure bred GSD. I also own a pit mix who cost me almost nothing. Both are equally loving and trainable.

He's a good boy and was always excited to see me. Some night when it was thundering he would sit by my bed and I'd comfort him. I'd rub his belly and knowing he was by my side would get me through some tough times. He was a little trouble maker though and would knock things over. Sometimes he would watch me go to the bathroom. Little rascal. But he's married now so we don't hang out like we used to :(

This is why I'm confused as to why they were abandoned in the first place. He looks pure bred. That dog was worth anywhere between $800-$2k at birth, and they abandoned his entire litter by the looks of it. It would have been EXTREMELY easy to give him away for free to a loving home. People suck man. So many people would have taken him, makes no sense to abandon him at birth.
