I have two trained medical alert service dogs Super smart and loving One does diabetic and heart and can detect cancer the other is in training she does heart and diabetic and she is doing excellent loves learning new skills we are planning to have her taught scent for allergies

Huskys have always been my favorites. Had two of them in the past. The male Husky lived to be 19 years old. My second Husky only lived about two years before she caught some disease the vet said was very very rare needless to say it really hit me hard and broke my heart I still shed tears over her to this day being hopeless and nothing I could do for her. Would love to have another one someday but being on disability I just can't afford the six to eight hundred dollars they want these days for a puppy.

So I have a new puppy she’s a mixed with jack Russell with Rottweiler. How would I train her to walk on a leash to practice heel? She’s afraid of the leash and won’t walk on it
We had to teach our old lab to be gentility before anything else. It’s as simple as hand feeding but when they go to grab it ‘rude’ you say “no” and take it away and try again, they go slower you give it to them with a “yes” 🤷
i noticed my husky prefers to go into down position thsn sit. i find out their barrel chest and thin stomach area interfers when sitting making it uncomfortable for them
He doesn't generally use treats, though he does occasionally use a higher value reward like hotdogs. He uses their kibble. Their breakfast/dinner is in that treat pouch, and they earn it through training.
I have an 8 week old husky and if my toddler came over like that she would jump at her face and probably bite her. I know they are wild puppies but she's very aggressive towards short little people. Does that happen to you or was she just so distracted with treats. Thank you. I think my puppy is on a more aggressive side then others.

Higher value rewards, fast your dog so they are more hungry, start with distractions further away, introduce distractions later in training, teach your dog leash pressure with prong collar with no distractions so later when there are distractions you have a tool that is more compelling than a treat. This is where positive only methods fail is under distractions. This puppy was taught ecollar pressure at a young age and so therefore if it got distracted I applied pressure as needed to regain focus. These methods are very advanced so you may need to hire a balanced trainer to understand them before you use on your puppy. I have a Belgian malinois mix (3mo) who sits, lays down, comes when called, stays and waits, and is learning heel. I just got him a “brother”, a 10.5 week old husky. Any advice on training the husky? The malinois always wants to play but the husky hasn’t been socialized much and is very possessive. Thanks!
Good day and thanks for the question. I will be honest with you in that getting two young puppies at or about the same time/same age is playing with fire. Most trainers would strongly recommend against it. They can develop littermate syndrome even if they're not from the same litter. I would only let them socialize under strict supervision and very very little time. A puppy playing with another puppy is like smoking crack for them. You as a human will never be as fun and entertaining as another puppy. If you want your puppies engaged with you as a human, both as puppies and especially as adults, and not crazy drive to only playing with other dogs keep them away from the crack pipe. There is a way for them to enjoy each other's company and respect each other without going crazy and yet very very focused on you. If they only know how to live as part of a two dog pack they will not know how to live without the other. Dangerous territory. You need a better bond with the dogs before they bond with each other. Just my humble advice. Don't become Charlie Brown's Mom
You can for sure. Just structure everything including play time. Two puppies is not twice as hard it's 4 times as hard. Not trying to dissuade you or rain on your parade but there are some legit concerns to be aware of. Good luck!

Depends on the dog/puppy. I'll train anywhere from 5-45 minutes. 20-30 minutes is the average. Depends what I'm working on also. Stays take longer obviously lol.

Not sure what you're asking. Train him to talk to you? Like howl? Be careful what you wish for with that one. Have to counter condition a quiet command at the same time or you will create a very annoying barking habit.
Idk but with covid the demand for dogs went to the roof, I just adopted mine for 1 800$ CAN & it wasn't the highest price I've seen.... Plus add the vet bill and the equipment for home...$$$
@@CathKitchen what, the highest I've seen for a pure bred siberian husky is around 1200 usd. Unless you're wanting like lineage show dogs they shouldn't be that expensive. Maybe Canada has more regulations that could factor in.

Too many factors to answer your question. They can be great dogs but they can also be harder to train. They're very smart and independent. Need lots of training just like any other dog. Get them young and hire a professional trainer ASAP
Usually not recommended for first time owners, they're a fuck ton of work and effort and stress. But there are a lot of factors. But just be aware it's not easy
My 4 month old husky just keeps looking at me like there’s nothing in his head. At all. I cannot get him to learn I’ve been trying to make him learn stay for three days straight, hour long sessions multiple times a day and he still doesn’t get it.
Perfect, you trained the puppy and kid the same way. I did the same thing and they're both well-behaved and know how to sit and be quiet 😆 lol.

My lab Rocky was super smart. Just have to have some eggs cooking on the stove, and he’ll learn sit, stand, shake hand, stay all within 2 minutes
