    I love how honest you are regarding those little boo-boos we all make. You could very easily - almost easily - remake your blocks and we would be none the wiser but you are so upfront about being as human as the rest of us. Thanks for sharing that part of yourself.

I love your patterns and the way you describe what you’re doing in your videos, I find that very helpful. I cannot wait to make your Minerva pattern.. i Love it!!     "Not the Road to Oklahoma" (haha) is what I would call it! I'm not as knowledgeable about the various quilt blocks, so I would never have known it was off. Good one, though!

    I like the "Road to Megan's House" block better than the original -- it's not a "mistake" -- It's a new creation! Thank you for providing both patterns. PS: I have the same "excessively large rotary cutter" and absolutely love it, much easier to use with my arthritis.

    I'm a recent subscriber and love your videos! You explain things so well and are... well... just frank! You asked for suggestions for block study... I'm not sure what sort of blocks you are looking for but perhaps snail trail would be good? It's a pretty easy block but put together in a top, it looks much more complicated.

      @@TinyOrchardQuilts BTW I was at a mystery quilt retreat. I assembled one of the blocks wrong but didn't realize it until I was done with the stack. I decided to leave it until I could see where it fit in the reveal. It worked fine and I left it - and the quilt turned out great!
      I love that you kept the original video and didn't toss it and re-do it :-)

    Leaving Oklahoma Block? I really like your version. It looks fresh and new, even though it’s a very old pattern. Great job!! And, thanks for celebrating your misstep, instead of just showing us the ‘perfect’ version. Makes the whole quilting thing less scary.

    Hilarious! I will try this "road to Megan' s house" block. For a suggestion how about crazy ann quilt block. I would love a tutorial that I don't need to buy a special ruler for. I have been binge watching, great content!

    I loved the rename of the traditional block since you made it more modern. 😀 I’m going to suggest the Mexican Star block but I know it’s not that beginner friendly. I’d like to see that in more quilts. 🤔

    My mom was a knitter and sewer all her life. When she “strayed” from a pattern she would always refer to the “new version” as a “one of a kind” or an original.

    Moda is posting free quiltblocks for breast cancer awareness starting in oct. Would you be interested in doing a tutorial on them or some of them. Fat quarter shop is doing the quilt kit but one can use any colors. I am trying to find someone who is doing the tutorials and no one so far.

    I was in a group doing blocks every month, and I sewed my blocks the same as you! Easy mistake, but I did go back and make another correct Road to Oklahoma.

      Lol. You read my mind. I filmed an entire bear paw quit tutorial a few months back and somehow didn’t record any audio. I’ve been thinking about how to redo it for a while and a block study would be perfect!
