If you like this block, you'll love my brand new patten, Kirigami! It is a fat quarter friendly quilt in two sizes. You can read more about it and purchase it here: tinyorchardquilts.com/products/kirigami-quilt

What a smart way to cut out different shapes! Instead of having to buy a bunch of different rulers. I really enjoy watching your videos 😊

I really appreciate that you did the “wrong way” example so it is clear why the technic is needed

Great video with an excellent hack! I have intentionally not made certain quilts because of the expense of buying a special ruler. Not anymore thanks to you!!

Another super video, thank you! Such a clever idea to tape the paper to the top of the ruler. I have had paper underneath in the past and as you note, that paper can slowly become cut away little by little! Your points come together beautifully. I really enjoy your videos and learn a great deal.

This has transformed my template-based cutting! Thank you! Taping two or more identical templates to the back of one ruler to guide different cuts is an amazing time-saving hack.

I AM A beginner that is why i am asking i was under the impression that to have perfect matching it is important to press the fabric well before cutting but i have seen a few people cutting the wrinkled material

It looks like you pressed to the light (green to white) side which may make a fabric shadow. In this block is there a reason to press to the light or is this a personal choice. Love the paper pattern trick. No more fancy rulers I have used once. I have many. Thank you.
