I'm in the process of building an ISS replica with Kerbal Space Program. So I've probably watched this video about 100 times in the last couple of weeks. I just don't seem to get tired of it. Several times I've caught myself trying to right click and drag the camera around :DIMO this version is much better that the previous one (FEB 2011). Kudos to everyone at JSC who had a hand in the production!
Great animation. I like it better than the one that was released this past spring because of the timeline at the bottom (including mission numbers) and the views from different angles at the end. Thanks.
I would love to see a second timeline added to the animation, one that shows habitation (at least Expedition #s, if not crew lists) and even the crew lists of the Shuttle crew color-coded to show what they did [maybe a different color for each of the following: shuttle commander and pilot, those who transferred to Station, astronauts who did spacewalks for assembly, those leaving Station, & anyone else). Sometimes people down here forget there are & have been others living in space above them.
Why would NASA record mankinds greatest engineering accomplishment in history? A spacecraft the size of a football feild being built while travelling 17,500mph through infinite space isn't interesting to anyone- unless the Karadashians were building it. 52 million a day just ain't enough I guess.. (Meanwhile, Kyle just uploaded his video of the potato gun he made in third grade.)
Man I should apply to work for APOD. 4 year old video gets picture of the day, all you have to do is one thing a day... lol jk but honestly could tell it was old and had to check :X
I remember when they first began the station. I was just a kid, and I really never thought it would be finished. It's very, very impressive that it was completed. NASA are heroes.
dont forget the other Nations who are with Nasa in this Mission. Especially the Russians, without their Soyuz Spaceship, ISS would have been deserted right now..

Thank you NASA for not adding background music. Long live ISS!

GOd Lord i can imagine how technology will be in another decade :O!
Right now we have spacex *or more of it* and some mars stuff.
Excellent animation.
завораживающее зрелище...
Great video, but I had to play it at 1/2 speed to really read and understand all the tags that were showing up.
still here
It' only an animation. But it is well done.
Is the 3D model available anywhere for download?
ASSEMBLY NICE!
missing Flight 6R Nauka Module Docks Pirs Airlock removed for destruction and Flight 7R Prichal delivered.
cool
Any iss live video is there !!I

it only took 3:14 to finish the video but in real life it was 14 years to complete the ISS
Yes
I am searching for an up-to-date video of this ... 2019 any advice where I can find one?

You are delusional. NASA stole your thoughts.
it's a good idea to all off Yuman
@Gamedtahn5 Not quite
@Gamedtahn5 no..only chuck norris can bring down the ISS

Yes. Their missions should've been included in the build log too. BTW did ESA's Ariane provided any supplies to the station?
@raperitoenamorado1 Agreed!
missss andrews 🤪🤪🤪🤪
Bad fucking ass!!
This is impossible!
Amazing cgi....too bad man wasn't able to actually record this...I guess recording it was harder than actually building it......what an amazing lie
There are many videos on TH-cam:
