i know i should probably know this answer. the sun is stil in the solar syste, clearly in this video. i literally just watched another us nasa astronaut show us earth & took photos aboard the ISS. it was super light in his video, like daytime on earth. here it looks as if the solar system went dark. but the sun is still there. why does there appear to be a night/day switch? considering the (solar system) does not experience night/day as the planets do. i'm super sorry if this is a pretty simple question.
What, are astronauts deprived of placing mail orders, using a smartphone, for Christmas gifts to family and friends? Being that isolated must be stressful!

Can someone tell me why it looks like there are stars on the planets atmosphere in the early shots? Is that just a light refraction trick?

No, actually it's sped up by 2x or so.
No, I think it’s a little sped up. In the first video they show, it would be going probably around four times slower in real time.
