In the scenario posed, using your hand to give the appearance of a “deadly weapon or dangerous instrument” would arguably constitute robbery in the first degree because the threat of that weapon, even if it wasn’t present, would make it so the person giving the money would not be consenting to the taking of the property. This then would be a class A felony in my state, which would be punishable by a term of imprisonment not less than 10 years and not to exceed 30 years, or life imprisonment. It has nothing to do with it being short or having pictures, it has more to do with the target age (usually being from young teens to young adults), the “type” of stories (usually having a lot of commonalities with manga stories) and the publishing schedules (light novels are more commonly serialized and publish a new volume each 3-4 months).
Back on a rewatch 2 months later and I still have to say Tanjiro has so much plot armor like the difference between him and other mcs is he is 10x weaker if not more than so many opponents like Daki, Gyutaro, Rui, Akaza, and the upper moon he fights in SSV. The issue is he against these powers so much stronger than him and he wins or survives because of some bs like he learns a breathing style different to his own just because somebody explained how it feels to them or he has a Hashira who didnt show up on time to save the other dozens who are dead but show up at the second Tanjiro will die or his sister will be the chosen demon to pretty much do anything. At least Luffy or Naruto use the powers we know they have differently and usually aren't just saved last second of life they might just power up but the reason they power up is better explained

Big disagree on Tanjiro not having plot armor. There are an ungodly amount of times where he reasonably should have lost or died and just skirts by because he got saved last second or unlocked some hidden potential. Personally, I think the animanga just went way too fast. I love Deku vs Gentle because it showed Deku defeating a formidable villain on his own without hurting himself and he had multiple instances of quick thinking and creativity in the fight. I think Tanjiro was robbed of a good opportunity to do that when Muzan fodderized the lower ranks.
The thing about oshi no ko ep 1, is that its like a warning label to the rest of the show. *IF YOU'RE DISTURBED BY THIS- DON'T WATCH ANY FURTHER* I LOVE how it can be fully classified as _not for children, or the weak hearted_
I understand not wanting to watch Goblin Slayer because of the SA being in the first episode. The thing about the goblins in the series is that all goblins are male, so they have to impregnate non-goblins. The goblins reach maturity very quickly and the time between impregnation and birth is also very short. Clearly none of this was necessary to make the concept work since they could just have goblin females, and we also didn't have to be shown the SA happening. We see plenty of women rescued by adventurers, and Goblin Slayer tells us plenty of goblin lore for it to not need to be shown on screen. To the best of my memory, that is the only scene like that in the entire story.
Black Clover, JJK, MHA, DS(Already), Hells Paradise, Tokyo Revengers, Attack on Titan, Dr Stone all done or almost done in manga and are the main anime in the scene currently. Blue Lock, Vinland Saga, and not many others come to mind. I know JJK has a few years of anime and Hells Paradise will be another few seasons and Black Clover has a lot of anime that needs to be made but like there isn't a lot left and idk what will take over because I think One Piece will go back to dominating the Manga scene since all the big ones are going away. Also, forgot Chainsaw Man but also the manga and how it split is weird but that'll dominate, and this is my theory as to why Mappa is taking so long to push One Punch Man because its other big series are completed or nearly completed manga so like I think its focusing its other series first since One Punch is gonna be around another decade. Solo Leveling is another good shout but idk
for the fighting middle schooler part i have not fought anybody ever (except for my brother, obviously) but my first move would be to grab them by the hair and then just bash their face into the ground and stomp on them. then I’d probably get my best friend who has done karate since she was like 5 and throws people twice her size against walls on a regular basis to come fight with me. together we’ll take out at least 12 people 😊
