I’d love to see a tutorial video specifically on working with gold-filled if you’re looking for suggestions! Your tutorials are extremely informative and helpful. You make a great instructor as you do a great job at explaining your process in a clear, concise straightforward manner. You don’t over explain or trail off onto other topics. I’m very appreciative of your content. Thank you 🙏🏼 😊
Thank you for a great tutorial! Can you please do a video where you show the art of working with and soldering gold filled? Without having to end up with a big visible gray/silver seam. And what else you do to prevent tarnishing/oxidation at the cut edges/ends? I know it can get tricky with the exposure of the base metal.. There is really not a lot of info on TH-cam about this. And believe me, I’ve been searching.. and I really want to work with gold filled material! Thank you so much!
Absolutely! Working with gold-filled is incredibly hard for me honestly, and I learned through a lot of expensive trial and error. I'd be happy to make a video showing what I know! Likely in the next few months!
I would love a gold-filled tutorial as well if you can. I love how thorough, yet straightforward and not 2 hours long! Your videos are clear and easy to follow! One question on your video short for the Deco Gold-filled ring there’s a part where I think you’re about to solder it and there is a green flame surrounding the metal. I was wondering if that’s some type of protectant line Fire Scoff or something? Thanks again so much for your tutorials! So very appreciated 🙏🏼🫶🏼☺️☺️

Can I apply the patina over a Rhodium plated piece? Once I clean or remove the patina, it would remove the rhodium layer?
If you don’t mind sharing, what kind of patina do you use?
Thank you for your video. Where do you buy all the silver parts to make the ring? Thanks.
So awesome! What gauges are your rope/ half round wire?
Thank you! Rope is 14GA and ring band is 8GA
Thank you. What gauge is the square wire?
18GA :)
@@theselftaughtmetalsmith awesome. You should do more tutorials lol
Very beautiful. Thank you
Thank you!
What’s in your pickle bath?
Where do you buy your silver and what gauge? Please
Hey there! I buy all my silver from riogrande. I use different gauges for different projects, but for my rings I usually use 24 or 26 gauge.
Wonderful!
Would you do a full tutorial on the polishing tools you use? That wits be so helpful.
Yes! I plan to do that one soon :)
Awesome tutorial! Can you do a video over your sanding setup it looks really interesting!
