Counter-Strike 1.6 officially doesn't have any kind of bot support whatsoever. The first CS game to have bot support was Condition Zero but 1.6 never recived any update to have bots in game. In this video i will show you how to add bots to 1.6.

Fun fact: CS 1.6 did indeed have bots, it was just for a short period in 2003.
Good thing ESCalation brought this fact up. But it's still a dick move from Valve. But I guess it was done so Condition Zero has some sort of reason for purchase.

So getting Zbots is simple and straightforward but do you know how to set up deathmatch for most fun offline with bots? Every similar video like yours with files and amx mod just don't explain enough to understand what crashes the game for the steam version and downloading original 1.6 from some website is sketchy.
Well I have not used AMX Mod for over 11 years but back then I could not get the bots to work with it so I just didn't use it that much so I can't tell you how to get DM working with bots for now. As for the issue you have this video was done before Half-Life's 25th Anniversay update which broke some mods in CS 1.6 so the only solution as of now is to revert it back to the legacy version of the game (Options > Betas > Pre 25th anniversary build). This will be the solution until the bots are updated for this version.
I would like to start by thanking you for this tutorial, but however, I do have a question. So I got the bots installed and I have the bot menu, but I don't know how to actually add the bots. From what I had seen in your vid, you added them from the "console" menu, but how do I open the console menu cuz I can't find it.
I did add them from the menu via post production however if you want to know some usefull commands from console then use the following:
bot_add
bot_qutoa (any number)
bot_kill
bot_freeze
bot_kick
@@chefordinaryz5760 the thing is I don't have the option to add them when I create the game for some reason. I know that usually there should be the option to choose how many bots you want and the dificulty, but I don't have that for some reason. I only have the part where I can name the bots and stuff, I tried deleting the files and downloading them again, but it didin't fix it

@@CubingOfficial Hmmm well I linked the full guide down in the description where you get the link my advice is to do this on a clean CS 1.6 installation (no custom maps or skins ect...) and if not try adding them from the console (the curvy key near tab and esc opens the console)

Yeah I know that feeling. From what I remember I used to play 1.6 alone on those maps since my copy didn't had bots at the time untill I got a pirated copy which had the bots incuded, since then I never looked back. Heck back then I used to think that Half-Life 1 and HL: Source were different games. (For a short period of time at least).

@@elypeachy3296 Nothing Source is just a lazy port of HL1 to the Source engine with bugs. I used to think they were different games back then but my young mind realized it was the same game shotley after playing normal HL1.

IT WORKS! - Hey man thank you so much for this video I like bots more than players nowadays they just suck the companies dick and defend them without getting nothing . Games used to be fun. Recently Bethesda made Starfield I like it it´s a breath of fresh air but my type of games are Titanfall 2 and Cyberpunk 2077. playing CS with bots bring me so much memories

These days I barley play multiplayer games online since it's just a corporate competive sweatfest garbage that sucks the fun out of games (don't get me wrong i have nothing against competitive modes in games especially in counter strike but when everyone is doing it in causal modes thats where i draw the line), since i am more of a singleplayer gamer it's much more exciting to play these games with bots since i get to make my fun the way i wanted to make it. Heck i even mod in bots in the older Battlefield and Call of Duty games just so i don't have to play them on servers with shitty rules or toxic admins (hardcore crouch only *cough cough*). Also those are good games that you mentioned (if you excude the drama about cyberpunk) but i haven't been interested in modern gaming since for a couple of years now since every game fells eather unfinished or just bland nowadays (apart from some games like DOOM Eternal and a couple of others i can't think of at this moment which still are good IMO).

hello, this mod messes up my loading screen and going to the 25 anniversary beta just isnt as good, how do I remove this mod because every time I try to delete some files the game cant launch
Well it's hard to get used to the old version of the game (especially with the whack widescreen support) but if you want to remove this mod there is a Uninstall folder in the zip file. Best bet is to wait till this mod is updated for the new build. Otherwise you can play for a while with the old build till you are used to it.

but how did you fix the screen resolution? It's smaller now and bigger options don't appear.

but you can fix the resolution from nvidia panel if you have a gtx or rtx.

Sounds like a shit phone. Eather way I recommend playing Counter Strike only on a PC as it was made for it. (less pain from touch controls)

game crashed when im trying to launch, it somehow messed up the menu screen aswell.
This happens after the recent update. Till this bot mod is updated the only fix is to go to "Settings > Betas > Select the pre 25th anniversary build". That should fix the problem.

Well there is a simple solution and that is reverting the game back to the pre 25th anniversary version, this mod is broken on the newest version. In order to do that you have to go to (Settings > Betas > and select legacy version). This is the only solution till this mod gets updated to work with the new version.

Revert the game to the old verson. To do that go to "Settings > Betas > Pre 25th anniversary build". This is the only way to fix it before the mod is updated for the new version.
The dude that made the mod hasnt updated the mod file in 9 months and the pre 25th aniversary beta looks way worse

Although this worked for me, the bot movement is all choppy, like they have their rate commands messed up. Is there any fix to this? It's really annoying and makes spectating unbearable.
Have you tried installing the bots again since i do not know any commands about their movement also are you playing on the offical maps or custom ones.

After i replace the files the bots work, but if i ever need to open options the game crashes, and the title screen is all janky. any idea on what I can do?
This happens after this year anniversary update. However untill this mod is updated the only fix is to go to "Settings > Betas > and select the pre 25th Anniversary build of the game" That should fix the problem.

No it's a issue caused by the Anniversary update. To fix it just revert the game back to the Pre 25th Anniversary build in the Settings > Betas.

No it won't, everything will be the same the only thing this will affect is the command menu when you press "h" with bot options but you can always back the original up. Eather way your servers and configs will stay the same.

If you need to uninstall there should be a uninstall folder in the archive with instructions. However if you have issues with this mod do revert the version to the legacy build if you want to.

I saw this problem on the latest engine build. The only fix for now is to revert back to the pre anniversary build till the modders fix this bug.
