Again a beautiful Video! I don't think that Gothenburg goes top to my bucket list but it was really interesting. Thanks for sharing and I 'm looking forward to your next one.

Thanks! It was Bruce who took me to Gothenburg, it’s not a city for the bucket list, although does have some highlights if you ever find yourself there :)

Love Gothenburg also nicknamed little London bcs of its close ties to England. The town ha plenty of sights you must have missed but you can always come back 😀 Ahh Ullevi, I was actually there for one of those Bruce Springsteen concerts in 1985, Born in the USA-tour. Bruce is back every year to Gothenburg it seems . Swedes love him! For midsummers eve most people try to leave town and go to the country side or at least go to a park.

Thanks! I visited during Midsommar so the city had a very different vibe to what it normally has I bet, I’d like to go back! That’s incredible, I’m heading to Prague in a couple of weeks to see him again!

Gothenburg is almost never empty, it's a very busy city. You must visited in a very bad day like Midsummer or similar.

About the empty town, Which date were you there? There are some specific times during the year that could result in an empty town. Considering that I think you were in Sweden in June, I'm suspecting you were in Gothenburg around the end of June? Last year midsummer eve and midsummer day was 23/6 and 24/6 respectively. Our formal national day is 6/6, midsummer eve is our informal national day. Around midsummer, many towns will become empty. And in July, most Swedes start their vacation. Sweden almost shuts down in July. Sweden is not very religious, but this time of year is as religious as it can get. Swedes take their summer vacation very seriously, and it "needs" to happen during this time. But some parts of the city has more people than others. And Gothenburg is quite small.

Haha, I knew it! I paused the video to make the above comment. Then a couple of minutes later, bam! 😂

It was midsummer, although you’ll see in the video that I found where everyone was… at the park! I liked Gothenburg and I’d like to go back and see the city on a ‘normal’ weekend 😁
