That, is not licorice , it's just normal festival candy here in Sweden. There are licorice "flavors" of those thought.

If you want to see pristine forests you should visit Kinnekulle in the summertime, although preferrably in May. The forest is untouched since the last ice age, so about 13000 years. Woods get very Rivendell'y when they're left alone for that long.

And it's the equipage, both man and horse, working as a unit, that compete.
Do you have any idea of how difficult it is to maneuver a horse in long reins that exactly that the LOG, hanging in a chain, goes around the poles?
I have never tried that, but I have been driving horses, sitting in a two wheels cart a lot as young. Also training young horses to go by the reins, walking behind with no cart, like they did here. (Trotters/harness horses). But they had the log to consider as well, so I can imagen.
On the other hand, I can understand that it's not the first choice of sport to watch for the majority of people 😂!

Before there was mechanised vehicles all logging was done using 'heavy horses' to drag the logs from the wood / forest and make a building, these horses were specially trained for this type of work and it is now having a revival in many European countries.

Sure, they might not be as the ones you missed out on, but if it's just about trying/taste testing swedish cinnamon rolls, then you easily could have. And there's also something similar to 'Kanelbullar', called 'Kanelgifflar', by Pågen, which are available in pretty much every shop as well. But they're a bit smaller than the cinnamon rolls.

In a rel Tunnbrödrulle, they use tunnbröd same concept but tunnbröd is very different from a tortilla (the only thing they have in common is the size and shape) A real tunnbrödsrulle is more like 1 or 2 regular grilled dogs, mashed potatoes, shrimpsalad, a few pickels, ketchup and mustard...

I didn't know you were to my home city! Sorry that they were out of cinnamon buns, they are really popular with the tourists. If you find your way back you should see the fighter jet museum (Sweden builds our own top modern fighter jets due to neutrality), visit a restaurant that serves Swedish traditional food called husmanskost, drink some nordic beer from a local brewery, and go to a proper swedish IKEA. And if you visit during the summer you HAVE to dance "små grodorna" with us somewhere in the gothenburgian archepelago!
If you would wanna really dive deep into our culture you should visit the old defence installation that we used to fend of the pesky danes, and then just go from island to island during the boating/vacation season in the summer. Every introverted Swede comes out of their shell and socialise on these islands, to eat sea food (especially shrimps and lobster) drink beer, dance traditional folk dances on small docks and enjoy themselves with the beautiful blue sea in the background that later turns red and orange in the stunning sunset. I would especially recommend visiting Tjörn and Brännö Brygga. You would find people from every age and background there (spoiled youngsters on yachts, fishermen, regular families, etc), and they would welcome you to hang out with them. I think both you and your viewers would love it!

ALL the coffee places usually have cinnamon rolls, so you could just get it like at the next café. They are all good. I live in Sweden, but the cinnamon rolls in the US, are usually in HYPE-mode and on steroids, and they are AMAZING...♡♡♡

Here's my American living in Sweden pronunciation guide for tunnbrödsrulle. tunn sounds like toon and bröd rhymes with hood then roo-leh. The hardest thing about Swedish run on words for an American though is what part to stress. In this case, the most stress is placed on Tunn and a little bit on the last sound 'leh' So. . phonetically a bit like TOON-(br)hoods-rooLEH. Hope you come back one day and have a better Gothenburg visit. It's a really great town.

Being from Gothenburg i must say Hagabullen.. It's great in many ways but the cinnamon buns.. They are a tad bit dry.. To bad you didn't get to try them but there are LOADS of things in there which are tasty and they are also known for their huge portions! Anyway, loved to watch your trip around the city and I hope you come back another time as there is soooo much more to see!

As a swede, on pronouncing Trädgårdsföreningen, I give you a passing grade. 100% understandable. If you were to be off in pronunciation, it is nice that you put it on screen.

Too bad the bread is wrong 😢 Tunnbrödsrulle should not be made with "tortilla" bread.

In Hälsingland too, I have fond memories of it there, growing up there as a kid. Not so much because of the grits (gryn), but due to that unique tasty flavor. But we're not swedish though, we just spent a few years there as kids, me and my siblings. And I loved grynkorv. We're what the swedes would call "Norrbaggar". 😉👍
      Edit:
And it's *Try grynkorv, tray means a flat plate of sorts, usually rectangular and with short raised edges, used mostly for serving and carrying purposes.
