@@emadkalbouneh4142 I’ve studied history I’ll have you know, I’ve got the qualifications in it which is probably more than most people who comment about this issue telling others to ‘Do YOur ReSeaRCh’. I reference both Palestine and Jordan in my video, which I aim to be impartial and factual and I won’t be drawn into political debates on any of my videos about it. Jordan is a fantastic country, and that’s what I want to be the focus of my videos.

@@ameerali.ouarda I disagree, I found it very uncomfortable. Narrow seat, little room, couldn’t even get my feet in position let alone extending the seat which would’ve been impossible with the woman sat opposite me.

@@maxime8212 I’m not critical of the speed, which is why at the end of the video I said I’d probably take Eurostar again. I’m critical of the comfort - which is something British trains also lack haha

The Eurostar goes to London though…

@@ameerali.ouarda that's the only high speed line in the UK for now, HS1. France and other mainland european countries have far more high speed train tracks

@@ameerali.ouarda Brighton to Glasgow is roughly the same distance as Paris to Marseille, one is 6+ hours on the train while the other is 3

@@MichaelfromtheGraves thanks for the comment Michael, some travel on Amtrak (and Via Rail with your northerly neighbour) is on my to do list. I agree with what you’re saying though, recently seats on trains and planes too, seems to have gotten very uncomfortable. It’s the same in the U.K. seats on LNER’s Azuma are awful compared to those on the Mark 3 125 coaches from the 1970’s.

@@PMason85 thanks for the comment! I had a wheelie hand luggage suitcase and a rucksack, I had no issues with them being strict. The flight was lightly loaded, so there was plenty of space, they may be more strict if it’s busier?

@@alexmcwhirter6611 thanks Alex! I was expecting an old Thalys unit to be honest, especially looking at the departure board at Brussels and was surprised when the Siemens unit arrived. Travelled on Thalys back in 2018 from Amsterdam to Antwerp. Luckily I booked my ticket early, so my fare wasn’t too high but I’ve seen some crazy prices from London to Paris before…

Thank you for the comment, glad you like the videos on Jordan, it really is a fantastic country! It was only 1 full day in Petra, although I really packed a lot into that day Our guide had us there around 9am just before it got very busy. There was the option to go the following morning for when it opens at 6am but I declined, I was simply too tired and this would only have been to visit The Treasury. I did do the 'Petra by Night' but honestly skip that, it really wasn't worth it. On the day I went, our guide took us to the Treasury and then we were on our own, so I explored the Monastery and High Place of Sacrifice on my own. If you go with Intrepid, you will only have one day to go the Monastery (the following morning is Treasury only) and its likely to be the early afternoon you'll get to the Monastery, as its a good 2.5-3 mile walk from the main entrance each way, so its a long walk.

@@kaprunski thanks for your comment! Both Lido and Old Town have their advantages, Lido has a more holiday feel whereas the old town is more city break and you’ve got nightlife on your corner. If you did stay in lido though, it’s very easy by bus or taxi to get to the old town

@@555tg very similar to me, journeying down from Leeds, although I only transited in Miami and took an evening flight to Costa Rica after. Yeah, I must’ve caught the ground staff on an ‘off’ day, but credit where it’s due, the cabin crew on my flight were great

@@LordMattyA87 the check in agents will be able to locate your booking based on your passport. Really common for airlines to have 1 line for check in and checking in multiple flights at once.

@@emilythomas3119 I loved Manuel Antonio, but Drake Bay and Corcovado is out of this world and was the highlight of my trip - especially if you want wildlife and to be off the beaten path. I’ve a couple of videos on my channel from Drake bay so feel free to watch them too :)

@@kebond1 if you have a window seat upstairs it’s nice just having the 2 seats long haul, but I have read that the A380’s are due for a refit, it’s needed!

@@erickc623 I travelled Jordan solo although did a tour, my time in Amman was spent solo and I felt safe, although I really would not drive anywhere in Amman on my own. Outside Amman I think driving would be ok. Flights from Jordan to Egypt, there are several daily flights between Amman and Cairo operated by EgyptAir and Royal Jordanian. Happy travels.

@@opagodaswirling9383 it’s luck of the draw with how strict Ryanair are at the gate, but I say play by their rules, make sure you’re in the limits and you’ll be fine. Ryanair do have fares where you can bring larger cabin bags on board - but you have to pay more for it. For a short trip I didn’t need to, which was also why I got the flight so cheap.

@@nicolepeters6660 funny, usually on public transport I’ve never had an issue until now, first time for everything though. I love staying the night before but for a 6am departure when there’s nothing on the roads at 3am it’s a bit of a waste, it’s invaluable for a departure between 8-11am, crossing the 62 at rush hour before a flight isn’t for the faint hearted!

@@MizzzP I’m 6 feet tall (180cm) and legroom was ok, just to note the window seats have the inflight entertainment box under the seat in front of you so this cuts into it a bit and can make positioning yourself when trying to sleep a bit awkward. It felt a bit cramped when the person in front reclined, although at that time I did the same and went to sleep too
