2:15 I just discovered you no longer have to waste a group to make an object invisible. You can just click edit group, extra and you'll see a lot of options.
2:14 Instead of using a random object, you can use the camera guide trigger, as it creates a border on where the static camera would be seeing. You can also change the zoom in the guide trigger so then you can copy that number into a zoom trigger. hope this helps :D
I just realized that platformer mode will allow players to make better bossfights, and coupled with astounding glow effects, could produce an experience with the same visuals and difficulty of the Infernum Mode of Terraria's Calamity Mod.

guys new to creating here, is there any way to change the background color or any color by the x-axis? usually it’s in the y-axis right , I tried making it touch triggered and making a whole line of it in x-axis but it’s so impractical. Is there an actual way?
hey tride you kind of did this with the ball transition but i have a cool idea where for a transition you become spider and go down this hole with the spider ability and then you get turned into another gamemode with an invisible portal (the spider portal has to be free mode)

If so then you could do a simple system to make it impossible from one checkpoint, so you could be evil and have a section where there and only there if you die you go back to the beginning. Also this makes me realize how crazy troll levels could be.
Troll levels won't work in gd*. In Smm2 the trolls are made using physics objects, so you can atleast partially decypher how a troll works while playing the level. Plus when you see a object while playing a level, there are only a few things it can possible do without outside interference. But gd editor is closer to scratch, than it is to Smm2. Objects can do almost anything, and you do not know what triggers are connected to that spike right in front of you. Trolls in gd will feel cheap. But... someone could make a list of levels that all follow the same set of rules and visual cues. That could be fun.

True and you definitely should do that, but it feels so much easier to use an Alpha trigger. We also have 10x the amount of groups in 2.2

yes but i always but an alpha trigger in my levels even if nothing is invisible because it feels right. Not having an alpha trigger feels wrong
alpha triggers are easier to do and more accessible to most from 2.1

Object count isn’t everything, scale can lag more. Also ran into strange hitbox issues on one side of a block when scaling really wide

I don’t think there’s a better way. If it helps, you can use the new warp function to scale it really tall
