He was my favorite heel as a kid. I’ll never forget re-watching the Wrestlemania 2 match on VHS tapes. Back when wrestling was wrestling. I miss those days. I’m 49 years old now. Glad to have experienced all that stuff as a kid.

I remember an interview with Bundy where he says he never understood wrestlers that didn't want to lose a match and shit, because the victory it's not real after all. It came clear to me that Bundy was a wrestler that did his job and he understood that it was a business, he had respect for it, but never took it more seriously than he should. Of course he wouldn't accept to job to a rookie or a guy with half the size of him, but he wouldn't give a fuck about being a champion.

I still remember on Prime Time when he had the quickest win in history supposeably against Special delivery Jomes. That was such a squash. Avalanche and it was over. Loved it...RIP KING KONG BUNDY. i saw king kong bundy's shoot interview and he was smart and well spoken, i felt a bit sad for the guy because he talked about the disappointment he had for his former wrestling colleagues, but it was a good interview and he's an interesting guy, he should have been world champion in the mid 90's after hogan, savage, flair and warrior left
i think it would have meant more if he were a dominant heel world champion for over a year and then have bret hart or owen hart score a win over him in a classic underdog vs unstoppable monster match

Both Cornette and King Kong Bundy would be one hell of a choice for Kingpin. Now that Bundy is no more.Corny makes the most sense

No one can top Vincent D'onofrio's performance as Kingpin in the Daredevil tv show now that the bar has been raised.

i liked Jesse Barr, he was also had good Wrestling background. Probably not like Angle or Brisco (JACK). But I would say at least as good as Hass.

Don't forget about Jesse's cousin... Arm Bar!

I was there in Louisville when Jim was managing Jesse Barr, Barr was teamed with Adrian Street, very unusual tag team, while Cornette was seen half the time being chased around the ring by Dutch Mantel and his bullwhip, later when my family and I moved to Oregon I was surprised to find Jesse here working as a good guy. Jesse was a decent wrestler but appearance wise he was fairly generic territorial, there was nothing about him that really stood out. Later on I'd heard he developed a bit of a Matt Borne-like attitude, an asshole and instigator backstage, word was he was the reason the Rockers were fired soon after their first appearance in the WWF, between that and his looks I don't think anyone outside of Portland was interested in calling him up

I remember him as Big Daddy Bundy when he was under the wing of Fritz. He had hair back then. They billed him from Nome Alaska. Said he was working on pipeline and whipped his bosses ass. Kayfabe

I liked King Kong Bundy more than Earthquake as a heel. Quake made a good babyface though. If only Bundy would've turned face.

The question is misguided; King Kong Bundy was huge (figuratively), doing TV and movies. He's one of the few wrestlers that the non-wrestling fan (like my Grandma) would've known by name and sight. The person asking the question must've missed out.

The cover pic as Bundy as THE KINGPIN is cool he couldve played that guy and not special effects and back then you would hear their wrestlers they can't act , they act live every night in front of a live crowd like they think their. Real that way.
