    Things of note:
    1. Aside from the iteration 3 videos, which were recorded back to back, this is the first time we've seen the same iteration in two videos, at completely different times (Dec 15 2008 for this, Oct 2009 for coal_five_red).
    2. The video itself appears to show the level layout being modified in real time. Alongside the description proposing that the video was recorded manually, and the title being 'testinject', it seems that this layout modification was done manually as a test of some sort, and of course recorded.
    3. I also note the relatively normal layout; it's largely coherent, as opposed to coal_five_red's bizarre and seemingly unfinished geometry. This seems relevant given how this video was recorded earlier; perhaps the 'level generation' is becoming more unstable/corrupt over time?

On the point of it being a 'test', I note how white_door's description mentions that "Watching Iteration 2 nowadays, their controller seems to be stuck in a small room.". This implies to me that the 'test' in this video is specifically testing how the (possibly AI controlled) player reacts to real time layout editing.

    real time edits? that's interesting
the design seems a bit more varied than what's been previously presented as well

the way i see it, one of two things is happening here
    1) this is the level generator at work, we just happened to catch it in action
    2) this is someone on the backend, likely separate from our uploader, opening an active iteration and altering the level layout live
the latter seems a lot more likely to me, as the video's title would seem to suggest this is a test of something, likely said live level editing system
the fact this isn't a one man operation isn't really new information. we've already heard mention of someone called "rd", and the uploader's apparent lack of information on the inner workings of this whole project would seem to suggest that they *aren't* the one behind it. this is, however, the first we've actually *seen* of anyone other than the uploader; this is video evidence of a larger scale operation at work, and while this isn't particularly groundbreaking in itself, what it *does* cause me to stop and consider is what our uploader's role is in all this. what purpose do these videos serve? were they directed to upload them, and by who? why is their interface so rudimentary? *why the hell don't they know what discord and youtube are???*

not much to say about this one, other that it's definitely a final (or near-final) iteration of the game. real-time edits seem to be happening too, either by the generator or the player in-game. neat stuff. also dig how it expanded waterway.

It's interesting that despite being much more finished-seeming than anything else we've seen, we have recordings from three years in the future beyond this (paper_eleven_violet)

I will not lie, I do enjoy this Waterway level design quite a bit

So this tells us there's somebody, separate from who/whatever's controlling Quote, who's present for this recording, right? Quote's "body language" suggests they weren't stopping to move the sign or even expecting the sign to be moved--they initially walk the opposite direction before turning around when it moves.
Which is interesting, since these seemed like they might be some kind of automated test beforehand.

Actually, the names might be a hint, here. Almost every filename we've seen (so, tree_azure_ten for Heart, and presumably something else for Iteration 3 since that also seems to have been renamed by our uploader) is comprised of three parts, all lowercase, separated by underscores. The first is a material (or "tree" once, which might be interesting), the second is a color, and the third is a number (written out).
This suggests to me this is some kind of generated label, meant to be easier to read and share than something like a GUID. Two break this pattern; white_door, and testinject, both of which are a lot more meaningful than these 'generated' titles. They're also both important moments in the history of whatever-the-fuck-this-is; what appears to be the first outside interaction with an iteration, and what might be the leadup to the moment that Iteration 2's Quote got stuck. Or maybe when Quote entered somewhere they shouldn't--since the level design gets much less coherent after they enter what seems to be the titular white door.
Thus, I suggest our observer was actively watching for both of these and any other recordings we find with such filenames, and manually clipped and named the files, whereas the others are automatic recordings made...Periodically? When certain events of note happen? Hard to say.

Uploader, you said you had a particular order you were looking to upload these in, so no worries if you don't "take requests." But I'd love to see any other files that break the format, if you've seen any.

These are really cool, does the executable have a name? What should we call it that makes the iterations?
