Having watched this and the review, I think there might be a small misunderstanding that you have about how an impact driver functions. An impact driver does not reduce the amount of torque applied to a screw or bolt. It actually increases is. Think of it like tightening something and then hammering it home. Each one of those impacts tightens just a bit more. In both videos you referenced the impact function as providing less torque but in reality it's the opposite so I just thought I would mention that.
I just got mine last week and works good 👍
Good job on the case design
Looks good. I'd think they'd have a setting to change the delay in the menu.
Yeah I'd expect to see that setting too but It's not there unfortunately. With new fw it should be possible to add if they feel like it.
what? this is an IMPACT driver? i missed that flashcard i guess. i'll look for another video on this thing.
Is it possible to fit this es15 in the ifixit case in the vid?
Yep. You need to cut the foam a bit more but it fits.
I've been daily driving a cheap wowstick, would you recommend it as an upgrade?
Depends on if you feel the need to upgrade. This is better in many ways but more expensive, and you already have the wowstick
The wowstick is great for small things that don't require too much torque, but for printers and other similar use cases is lacking it and I usually have to either manually screw bolts in or just not use it at all
Edit: as an upgrade I hope it performs better torquewise, price is not an issue for me if the built quality and lifespan fo the battery is good enough to compensate
If that's the case go for it. It should have better torque and build quality
BTW the torque on the es15 is insane.
What is the price? Cost should be part of ALL reviews.
This isn't a review, just an unboxing and first impressions video. There is also a review video on the channel. The price is about $100 depending on where you buy it.
I realize the problems with having 2 videos about the same product, so now I only make 1 review video of the products I cover. This video was releases before this decision.
12:20 he mentions the price in the video
