  • Hi guys! My name is Vivien and I am a neuroscientist and aspiring medical student in Miami :)
Here is a day in my life as a neuroscientist. Today, we do an immunohistochemistry experiment on brain matter. Navigate the day with me as we complete our experiment and learn some things along the way :) Neuroscience Vlog

thanks so much for making this! i’m desperately trying to find a career route that i feel truly passionate about (i’m going into senior year of high school so i’m kind of out of time), i discovered neuroscience and now i’m trying to really figure out what it’s actually like to be a neuroscientist before i start over-romanticizing it. if you have any advice or things you’d wish you knew going into it, i’d love to learn more!!

i p much have always been interested in the way we (living beings) perceive the world around us. this led to my desire to have a formal education in neuroscience, and when i had the opportunity to work in a real life neuro lab, i jumped at the opportunity!! some books i would recommend: The Female Brain and The Male Brain, both by Louann Brizendine, M.D. they are easy reads and p interesting!
and yay thank you, i am glad :)
