i would like to ask some thing abt the phone cuz im planing to maybe buy it, is the phones battery good like will the battery last long, and do you have screen burn or stuff like that cuz i want to buy it but i dont know if its worth it and since you have been using it for 7 years i tought i could ask you that is it still worth buying, and i also wanted to ask if it still performs good even after 7 years, anyway its crazy how loyal u have been to this phone. 7 years is insane.
I would say yes. It's still better than most Midrange phones today like this phone has 1440p screen, 4K camera, SD card slot, headphone jack. It was very perfect for 2025. I'd say yeah don't get a modern midrange and get a old flagship like this. Just give it a Custom ROM and your good to go. Never getting a modern low end model or a modern midrange ever again but i am getting a old flagship which is much worth it. Edit : I was typing this on my LG G5 which came out in 2016 and it was a very good device still.
@mparagames It may depends on the user. Your still lacking the 4K recording, 2K display and Dual view camera (Allows to take photos and record videos using both front and rear cameras simultaneously) on midrange phones. In fact my friend has her Samsung A15 and guess what in terms of camera my LG G5's camera is still beating that midrange phone. In fact her Samsung A15 still doesn't have that dual view camera which my LG G5 does have it. The modern midrange will be only better in such one aspect and that's official updates, sure these phones are officially supported by the OEM but installing a custom ROM on a old flagship isn't that hard unless if you are a newbie in terms of custom ROMS. But the fact these phones have a outdated Graphics which only supports a 1080p display instead of 2K (Like seriously we aren't in 2013 anymore and i never recommend getting a phone with 1080p for 2025), a low 13 megapixels on their camera, heck yeah they even use pixel binning to make it like 50MP for ads to make people buy them but why get a 13MP camera on a phone in 2025 ? It's not even 2014 to get those outdated specs and a MediaTek processor (which suffers more thermal throttling issues and the lack of custom ROM support according to my experience) is what makes me avoid those phones especially entry level ones. Maybe i can forgive the premium midrange ones since some of them have a snapdragon processor but i wouldn't forgive the entry level ones. Honestly we have different thoughts in terms of that though, I'll only recommend getting a modern entry level or midrange if you don't know how to install a custom rom but if you have a capability of using custom roms or simply you really wanted a custom rom then go for a old flagship.
@24kCookieVert The A55 doesn't have a MediaTek and it was a between the midrange to pricey ones so i would agree on this. But the A05 is trash anyways.
@@CharlyDrizzy Even the LG G5 from 2016 is still a great phone. I have a LG G3 from 2014 as a backup and it holds up very well with custom kernels and a newer custom rom on it. My grandma has her S2 from 2011 and it was struggling a lot considering how much it thermal throttled a lot and the S2 was pretty old nowadays.
I use that. Ive had it for 7 yrs. Still love it :)
Watching this from it

@@Flxvi no the battery runs out fast in 2 and MAX 3 hours is dead
Same here. Never been repaired.
@@Flxvi see i have a procrastination problem like every 20yo haha. I find the short life useful for me. I don't want a flagship phone.
If Samsung had their current update policy, it would still be supported. That would be amazing

Love the simple aesthetic of this phone.

Add: it’s display is 120htz
Good phone, let down by being cut of at Android 10.
just switched from my s23+ to an s9+ running noble rom 4.3 and it's quite impressive, still very usable in 2025
I personally think that's best looking samsung model I just didn't like the curve screens
Im s9 plus lilac purple
It’s a good collector phone
I'm using it it's not as bad as u say
