@@x0scimy0x Sorry for the delayed reply! Koma 'mix'ed it, which essentially means bumping up bass and treble in specific segments to add more punch to the meaty parts of the song. That, and he layered phases of the track in his take on the progressive sequence. Each phase felt more.. I dunno, epic as a result. Truly good stuff!
Mick Gordon’s songs are so filled with testosterone that it has a passive bonus to the individual who listens to it where the testosterone is given to you and you gain an immense power boost from it.
This may the angriest, most intense song on the both game’s soundtracks. The others are relatively calmer by comparison while this one literally uses sounds evocative of a, 0:46, tea kettle hissing, 1:30, alarms and, 3:21, a chainsaw being revved up.
1:30 that part of the song is just beautifully demented, its like at this point Doom Slayer is just enjoying ripping and tearing the demons apart with a smile
I don't know if this was intentional, but my brain made the connection because the level is a European metropolitan area and I swear the electronic melody at 1:30 is a pitch shifted high-low siren. That's a really nice touch, if Gordon intended that.
Doom should have a grapple system. Imagine someone’s shooting at you and you can grab a demon for a shield. Then throw them for extra damage. Even a new set of “finishers” for punching and grapples
Why would doom slayer need that his top speed is 85 mph. It’s also theorized that he’s actually faster than lightning since he can dodge lightning abilities.
This channels Doom (1993) vibes in a whole new way. It’s ambient and sinister complete with a groove. It’s smooth and tonic. It’s heavy and fluid. It wails like a horde being trampled by titan’s feet. Fucking masterpiece of heavy metal.
We will have justice for Mick Gordon. I've bought almost every id Software game starting with Doom 2 and Eternal is my absolute favourite FPS in all my decades of gaming. But Eternal is the last id Software game I buy unless they pay Mick what he's owed + damages - and unless they fire the fuck outta Marty Stratton.

This may the angriest, most intense song on the both game’s soundtracks. The others are relatively calmer by comparison while this one literally uses sounds evocative of a, 0:46, tea kettle hissing, 1:30, alarms and, 3:21, a chainsaw being revved up.

1:30 that part of the song is just beautifully demented, its like at this point Doom Slayer is just enjoying ripping and tearing the demons apart with a smile
I don't know if this was intentional, but my brain made the connection because the level is a European metropolitan area and I swear the electronic melody at 1:30 is a pitch shifted high-low siren. That's a really nice touch, if Gordon intended that.

Doom should have a grapple system. Imagine someone’s shooting at you and you can grab a demon for a shield. Then throw them for extra damage. Even a new set of “finishers” for punching and grapples
Why would doom slayer need that his top speed is 85 mph. It’s also theorized that he’s actually faster than lightning since he can dodge lightning abilities.
This channels Doom (1993) vibes in a whole new way. It’s ambient and sinister complete with a groove. It’s smooth and tonic. It’s heavy and fluid. It wails like a horde being trampled by titan’s feet.

We will have justice for Mick Gordon. I've bought almost every id Software game starting with Doom 2 and Eternal is my absolute favourite FPS in all my decades of gaming. But Eternal is the last id Software game I buy unless they pay Mick what he's owed + damages - and unless they fire the fuck outta Marty Stratton.
