My concern, as you waterproofed with the lining, you nailed it, compromising true seal, instead of stapling on the outside. However, the pattern and color combo were beautifully placed. Well done you guys!
Also! Keep your shower door closed with the fan on. Such as, turn the fan on first then when you turn the hot water on make sure the door is closed all the way while you wait for it to heat up. Then when you exit the shower close the door right away leaving the fan running.
You two did a great job, great choices in tiles and color. I agree with the green totally, a bit of a different tint for me but I loved it. My tub stall makes your old one look like a million bucks lol.. Thanks for sharing your journey! I hope mine will be a path smooth and straight!
looks so pretty!! going to try and remodel my mothers bathroom but i need to get a job first 😅.. however when painting you should “cut in” meaning get a paint brush and outline the walls before going in with the roller because it can be quite difficult to get in the corners. so amazing though.

Just for future future projects. You shouldnt ever use pressure treated wood for a shower because it has chemicals in it thatll dry out over time and cause the wood to warp damaging walls and tile. If the shower is done and sealed correctly you can use regular non pressure treated wood. The shower looks amazing tho guys. Goodjob!
Your bathroom with the color choices came out nice. The only thing I would have done differently is I would have laid the floor tile first and then have wall tile overlap. This makes integrity better. Thank you for sharing.
Question, I am moving into an apartment and I wanted to redo some of the flooring that’s in the bathroom with the stick and peel tiles. Do you know if I can use those waterproof products you used? I wanted to put some of the tile on my shower walls because for what I have planned, the theme colors at least, yellowish beige throws it waaaaay of balance.

Great looking shower install. The only thing that I would have done differently is I would have prepped and applied the primer first and got the walls ready for painting before the shower install. Your bathroom looks almost exactly like my hallway bathroom and I also want to take out the old tub and do a shower install. Did your husband install new copper piping or use PEX?
I’m in the middle of renovating my shower and I’ve seen mixed reviews on using treated 2X4’s for the shower curb, have you noticed any movement or cracks in the tiles (specifically on the curb) over the last 2 years?

You need a fan in the shower to suck out the steam. It turned out really nice.

Check with your landlord. He may not want peel and stick tiles and some of your other ideas.
Yes, I would definitely check with your landlord first. I believe there’s peel and stick tiles specific for showers, that’s what I would look into!
