Judith Bars RIP you were so young and didn't deserve to die you should've had your dad arrested for what he did to you and your mom if you haven't died you you "voice cracking" sobs uncontrollably
No single Disney movie could compete with this thoughtful masterpiece of a child movie... It taught me everything... how important family and friendship is, how to handle hard and uncomfy situations, how important it is to keep going on and a lot more... Crying like a baby when I'm hearing this. My best childhood memory.
Jokes on you. Don Bluth started as a Disney animator working on Sleeping Beauty (as an uncredited in-betweener understudy to John Lounsbery) He also worked on Robin Hood, Winnie the Pooh, The Rescuers, Pete's Dragon, The Small One, and The Fox and the Hound..
Not every mother and son sadly. :( The person my mom used to be is long gone, and love between us is either masked by hate, or just isn't there anymore.
My mother passed away yesterday. Remembering this movie and the music will always remind me of some of the most special moments shared with her in my life. RIP Mom..
Hello friend, I am so sorry you lost somebody very special in your life. Prayers go out to your family. A special moment your blessed mother will share with you from now until the rest of your life is that she will always be in your heart. And I'm sure you will see her again someday! God Bless
Sorry about losing someone who is very special to you. She would want you to continue on with your life. You will always have special memories of her in a way. She will always be alongside you, nobody where she is.
I'm sorry that you lost a parent. I lost my dad to cancer back in November 2013. I hope you, however, are doing better. I know it can be hard when you miss a dear loved one.
I'm 16 years old and this is just as much a part of my childhood as anyone older than myself, I know I wasn't alive when it was initially released, but I would watch it everyday when I was young and grew up with the characters who ultimately gave me my childhood. It isn't a matter of age, but a matter of taste and those who find treasures like The Land Before Time are the lucky ones, no matter what generation or age, these films will be classic for all time.
Im 27 now (-1) my keyboard won't let me touch six haha 😆 I gre up watching this series and I love it, still gives me a really warm feeling to watch it. EDIT: just realised I could have spelt out my age, wow, thats enough Christmas wine for me🤣
"and they all grew up together; generation upon generation, each passing to the next, the tale of their ancestors journey to the vallley...long ago..." *cries*
I have a personal place in my heart for this franchise. My grandmother introduced me to this movie franchise and as a dinosaur loving child I loved it to no end. I’ll literally would watch these movies just because. When my grandmother passed away, it was almost physically painful to watch any of these movies. One one hand I would remember my grandmother and my childhood back when things were simpler, but on the other, I would get this sense of dread as I can no longer enjoy these with my grandmother today. I’ve now decided to do a re watch of them and no longer feel that dread that would emotionally break me, but instead nostalgia of my childhood. I love these movies, from the good ones to the…13th one…no matter how bad (or surprising good) the sequels are, they will all have a special place in my heart
I can't even describe my feelings towards this movie, just listening to this makes me cry everytime, it's definitely the best movie from my childhood, no doubt about that :'(
Littlefoot's Mother: Littlefoot. Littlefoot. Littlefoot: Mother! Littlefoot's Mother: Littlefoot. Littlefoot: Mother, I tried to do what you told me, but it's just too hard. I'll never find the great valley(Wind Blows) Mother, Mother! Don't go Mother! Don't go!!! (He follows his mother's spirit until it shines a bright light down and reveals the great valley) Littlefoot:(Staring in Awe) The Great Valley....Cera, Spike, Ducky, Petrie over here! (The rest all show up) Ducky: Littlefoot! You found it! Yep Yep Yep! Littlefoot: We did it! We did it together!
Alot of the sequels can get pretty mature, hell in the 4th, and 14th one. Poor Littlefoot has to face the possibility of losing ANOTHER family member through most of both. To say they don't have mature themes in them is just plain ignorant.
RedfurredPikachu You're right, and I was actually referring to the titles beyond #7 and up. They do have mature background but the storytelling is not as memorable and thought through as with the older ones.
Zany Greendot One thing I never got though. Why would they wait so long to introduce his father? The first one came out in 1988. #10 came out in 2003. That was 15 years!
"And they all grew up together in the valley. Generation after generation. Each passing on to the next, the tale of their ancestor's journey to the valley, long ago." ...I made myself cry. T-T
i honestly find it funny how i loved the shit out of those movies, but now....... yeah, i don't dislike them, the nostalgia is too strong, but damn the first one........ the feels...... the other ones were just something to entertein yourself when you're truly bored, but this one, damn, it shall be remembered. God damn it i just finished rewatching and these fucking ninjas can't stop with the fucking onions!!!!
This movie... this movie was my freaking childhood. I loved Littlefoot and the Gang so much, and I cried so much during this film. And when the light shone upon the Great Valley, I sobbed in joy because they had MADE IT! They made it home. I love a lot of animated films, but none touched my heart like Land Before Time.
Same here! After 2 years of enduring Unexplained Punishment from my father, this song kept me strong ever since my "Devil Father" kicked my mother out of the apartment. It broke my heart so bad.And then when I saw this video and the picture,I cried so much.I was only 10 years old January 2015.This Picture kept telling me I was missing something. The answer was my mother.Listening to this song made me beg forgiveness for all the bad things my dad told me to do(because he is unpredictable).I now live with my mother and still feel very sad about the past..
When you understand the great valley is a metaphor of heaven and all the characters of the movie died... We know they died as terrestrial dinosaurs don't exist anymore.
I can't explain how, some may find it ridiculous but listening to soundtracks from my childhood like this inspire me to be a better person, demand myself and bring happiness to my loved ones
I am crying so hard. I just.... it just... this just brought back too much memories and feelings... when things hadn't changed.... When I didn't know complicated things but the love to Littlefoot and dinosaurs and cartoons. I used to watch this movie like every weekend just to see them. And I guess there is a part of me still remaining like that, just that it has hidden too deep. The music just made all those parts of me emerge. And tears just burst out...
You took the words out of my head... And goddamn this made me tear up. All those emotions, all the joy i had watching these movies hundreds of times. Now were buried under a pile of shit(life) And this song just brings them all back... right in my face...
One of my all time favorites. I'm 25 years old and I still get teary just listening to the music. I grew up with this movie and it's not only stood the test of time, it's gotten better with it. A true timeless classic. I also think about my Grandparnets (both are now gone) when I watched this because they loved this movie. When a film makes you cry, you know that the film is working. It's such a powerful children's film that wasn't afraid to take risks the way this film did.

I used to watch The Land Before Time when I was little as well as Don Bluth's other films like Secret of NIHM, American Tale and All Dogs Go to Heaven. And I'm 18 and wow the soundtrack is still amazing just as I remembered as a kid
Did you know that The Land Before Time along with An American Tail and All Dogs Go to Heaven were all released around the same time and competed with Disney films?
Wow l remember l just only 3 year old I always told myself I want to watch it over and over again but I'm just happy it just seen this it's been a long time but I'm 11 but I'm still happy to see this movie
One of my favourite movies growing up. I work in a daycare and we have watched this movie with the kids a couple times. This movie needs to be re-mastered so more people can enjoy it.
This movie holds a place in my heart my nana collected these movies and Id visit her alot as a child and watch this movie. This song reminds me of her and those good days. Miss her so much. RIP Glenda you are loved and missed eternally.
When I was in U.S at 1997, I was only 6 years old. I watched and heard this beautiful music and felt as though I was little foot. Over 20 years later in Korea, im listening again now.. with already grown, matured spirit. I really miss that time 21 years ago...
This song always and still give me chills to this day! I'd use to cry to this movie every time as a child. This is hands down the saddest children's movie of all time. I'm a United States sailor and in my time I've wanted to give up but I look back at this movie I watched as a kid and I tell my self 'if little foot can move on after his mother died and take on a T-REX, well shit I can wear my boots and hold my M-16 on a 12 hour watch.'
"Not gonna cry, not gonna cry, not gonna-" Littlefoot: We did it! We did it together! "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...." Oh god, about that point I lose my composure and just burst into tears.
"And they all grew up together in the valley, generation upon generation, each passing on to the next. The tale of their ancestor's journey to the valley....long ago."
this is so beauitful. Such an incredible movie for sucha young audience I loved it as a kid but was never able to fully apreciate it until I came back and watched it as an adult. I'm going to show my future children movies like this, not just from my childhood but from classic movies my paretns had me watch as a kid to like the Wizard of OZ, so my children can enjoy real cinematic beauty and not be soley exposed to the new crap that cant get through without bad jokes.
After going through so much the past few months listening to this just made me cry. It's wonderful how a piece of music as breathtaking as this can touch you so deeply
1:18. If you didnt cry, or at least get chills, you have no soul.
That bit is just the best
I get chills when listening to music at times. Sometimes tears too.
Your body and life force can feel vibrations from music.
Chills... Cello, trumpet, and violin... What a gorgeous harmony. That clarinet at 3:00 too, just takes me to a different place.
The Elven Jedi I think there is a French Horn in there too.

Oh my God!! I am 32 years old. I remember watching this movie growing up. Boys aren't supposed to cry but on this, I can't stop.
Dude I'm with you I'm nearing 30 now and I have a kid on the way and I look forward to watching this movie with them
Tygra Gonzalez It's perfectly NORMAL for boys/men to cry. We all are humans and all of us should have empathy and feelings.

Step 2: Try not to cry
Step 3: Cry like a baby anyway
"We did it, we did it Together"
Lets hold hands hehehe....meow
I haven't heard this in years until I watched the movie over the summer and I never realized how beautiful the soundtrack is.
This soundtrack makes me cry! :(
I remember 4 year old me watching this all the time.. I loved it so so much :')
I love this flim it is classic
this touch's my heart string's hard long live land before time
this is so beauitful.
This song I part of my childhood I think when I watched the movie I was like 3/4 :’)
...my heart is crying...
This means so much to hear.... the children of today and tommorrow deserve things like this..... Things that actually make you feel...
Pain from too much crying.. :'(
Love this movie, ironic we had this movie,Jurassic Park and the other with Dinos too
My childhood soundtrack, God bless 90's :)
After going through so much the past few months listening to this just made me cry. It's wonderful how a piece of music as breathtaking as this can touch you so deeply
