This music sums up what The Original Land Before Time is. Pure awe, beauty, majesty, and magic the feelings we all know and love. This movie is my very favorite movie of all time. The memories of my childhood, my first friends, our adventures all sprouted from this. A connection that bloomed into a wonderful friendship and developed into who I am. Thank You The Land Before Time. You are what makes up me and my childhood.
I cry everytime I listen this beautiful track. Thanks to James Horner and Don Bluth for the most majestuous movie and musics of all time. I hope Horner has find his Great Valley in the sky ☄️
There's nothing to be ashamed of, crying is good for the heart and brain. It releases all your stress and feelings, I always cry when I watch Littlefoot's mom did in the movie, and the music is very powerful throughout the movie.
I grew up in a valley when I was a kid. It was a beautiful place to which this music seemed to fit all to well. Alas as time has worn on, the valley has been developed and grown in population. Most of my childhood play places have been bulldozed and houses built over them. Much like in "The Time of the Great Giving" my valley burned, the music again fit that time so well. When neighbours and families came together to help each other. Feels... so many feels. I no longer live in the valley however I go back to visit. I often think of it and how awesome it was. Oh if time travel were a thing! I'd tell my kid self "do not rush through this! Enjoy the hell out of it!"
I love the opening of this music so much, that choral voice before the lead in to the actual peice where the Great Valley is discovered, is so beautiful. I'm going to be working on my Falsetto when i resume my singing lessons on Tuesday i might show my coach this track as she said stuff like this will help with Falsetto.
Majestic music to match the movie's bittersweet conclusion. I have not watched The Land Before Time in the last ten years actually. I felt like coming here since I am graduating college in less than three weeks! Rest in Peace James Horner
Littlefoot's Mother: Littlefoot. Littlefoot. Littlefoot: Mother! Littlefoot's Mother: Littlefoot. Littlefoot: Mother, I tried to do what you told me, but it's just too hard. I'll never find the great valley(Wind Blows) Mother, Mother! Don't go Mother! Don't go!!! (He follows his mother's spirit until it shines a bright light down and reveals the great valley) Littlefoot:(Staring in Awe) The Great Valley....Cera, Spike, Ducky, Petrie over here! (The rest all show up) Ducky: Littlefoot! You found it! Yep Yep Yep! Littlefoot: We did it! We did it together!
@@manuelorozco7760 This movie has some sad scenes, like his mom dying and all. But at this point, it is meant to be a happy ending because not only do they finally make it to the great valley, but they reunite with all their families, Spike even gets adopted into Ducky's family, and the final shot is all the kids embracing on the hill there as the Narrator mentions their story passing on through generations. So it is a happy ending. If you cry on this scene, it's tears of joy.
A kids movie about dinosaurs had zero business creating such a hauntingly beautiful soundtrack that creates such inexplicable nostalgia for 90s kids and remembering these core memories.
For a long time, this track was in a bad quality, eventhou it made my cry every time I listened to it. Now it´s in good quality... I only can say THANKS (with tears in my eyes)
I'll preface this by stating I am not a religious follower. Having listened to this today after about 20 years I'm now noticing that the orchestra sounds like a host of angels, with the choir and the horns welcoming the group into salvation after having traversed through hell to get there.
James Horner, along with Jerry Goldsmith and John Williams are the best composers that I know of today. this right there was the epiphany of what an animated movie should be.
This movie should’ve gotten as much recognition and respect as the lion king, if not more so. Elementary schools should’ve been emulating an applicable scene from the movie.
I hope James Horner finds Starclan and lives there as we find the Great Valley That was Warriors and The Land Before Time combined I hope we all find the Great Valley together
This is great. The OST released is good but incomplete and scored out of film order (here and there) with this being one case. How did you splice it so cleanly? Rip from DVD/Blu-ray?
Sorry the late reply. I just searched around everywhere until I found tracts that's sounded clean, then I used windows movie maker to edit all the tracts together the same way the movie did. It's a mix of both versions of Discovery of the Great Valley and the Main Suite.
@@bishalkt no worries. The 2020 Intrada release of the score puts back in all of the missing cues heard in the film, but this track is still out of film order. I guess I’m gonna have to get proficient at video/audio splicing.
I think it might be out of film order because in the original test cut Littlefoot finds the valley on his own much earlier before going back and rescuing his friends to show them the proper way.
@@HobGungan Understandable. Happens with Aliens as well. Although, one might expect that given the tumultuous scoring process for that film. Hearing the score cue for cue as heard in the film is preferable, but it’s never a dealbreaker. Least of all with anything as powerful as TLBT.
This will play when we can, hopefully, one day, get our rights back. Im commenting on November 7th, 2024 from the USA. Dark times are ahead, and I dont know when they will be over. wow in tears. havent heard this since I was a little boy.. takes me back to a simpler time . ❤
Two words, childhood feels....... probably the the most beautiful score ever
I have scores that are beautiful as this. It is almost like a more symphonic counterpart to John Powell's scores for How to Train Your Dragon
I heard scores I mean
Thank you for all the beauty you brought into this world, James.
