"Urdnot Mordin Shepard, you were named after two heroes of the Reaper War. One of them was a salarian and he was probably the bravest man I ever knew."
my second favorite Death scene in the game. Sad that he died, but proud he went out like he did. He was a mad scientist , but he was our mad scientist. Enjoy your seashells old friend.
You know he's in heaven, trying to run tests on everything in sight. He just the one salarian you can't help but love. Rest in peace you Mad Scientist! And may the wisdom you left behind guide us into the next golden age.
The first time I played, I was blindsided. I did not expect him to die. I admit, I cried and started to say "no, no" at the screen. The first time I cried because of a game. I miss that guy!
"I am the very model of a..." *Boom* Me: "A scientist Salarian" No matter how much i try, i can't help but always finish his line. In my eyes, it goes to show the impact he had on us even in the short time we knew him.
That version gives more insight into Mordin's character though Shepard's near betrayal makes the last moments less heartfelt. Both final scenes work well and Mordin's story arc becomes one of the best in the history of video games. In ME1 you learn about the genophage and it's general history and start to think about whether that was a morally acceptable solution. In ME2 you meet Mordin and gradually learn that this quirky lab guy was instrumental in one of the most consequential events in galactic history. He pretends to be purely rational, but with time you realize he is struggling with a doubt and guilt that is almost incomprehensible. As the player you act only at the margins of this story, nudging it toward one outcome or another. Eventually this seemingly logical scientist demonstrates a profound resolve, courage, and emotional complexity that brought me (and many others) to tears. It is masterful storytelling.
"MIght run tests on seashells."! Thank you for such a touching tribute to one of the best written characters in the trilogy. The redemption arc, the quirkiness, the "I MADE A MISTAKE"... Mordin's story gets me every time,. And especially today as, yesterday, I cured the genophage again and was bawling my eyes looking at the screen. Enjoy your seashells, my friend. We miss you.
I hadn't intended on making one just because there's not really enough footage relating to EDI that I could use. It would be an interesting one to make all right so I'll definitely consider it. It would probably be very short though. :)
I really like that idea for a video. After I make a few more tributes I'll be making a video about the Mass Effect saga just with scenes from all 3 games but I don't really have any other video ideas after that so I'll definately try and get around to making a video based around what you suggested. Thanks for the idea. :)
great as always! maybe afterwards, would you consider doing like a "shepard" one where we see how the war takes a toll on him/her? like an epic culmination one of how all of shepard's friends are there for him/her, and the final choice at the end. i know these must take a lot of time for you but they are amazing.
I record this with Fraps on the PC. Most of my playthroughs are on the xbox though but I figured all of the things I'd have to get to record off the xbox would be pretty expensive so this was the easiest option.
They take a lot of hours all right. I usually work on a video like this over the course of about 2 weeks. It depends on the video though, some take much longer. For some reason picking and finding the audio files for this video took the longest time over everything else, lol.
I'll definately be making a Legion tribute. It's just I don't have the audio files sorted out for his video yet but I do for other characters. But I could still end up doing his video straight after I finish Tali's one. :)
Yeah was just wondering cause she is part of the crew and it wouldnt have to be footage of her per say but maybe clips from ME2 like when she helps Shepard get out of the collector ship after they find out the Illusive Man set a trap for them in it. But anyway these are ur videos so it is up to you :)
You should serve as an example for everyone. An example of simplicity. Because you don't need motherfucking Yoann Lemoine to make such a strong short. Congratulations.

Great comment, also funny xD
The moment, when I understand the reference, want to laugh on it, and at the same time, I can picture the scene so well, that I simply can't...
Step 1: Curl into a ball on the floor
Step 2: Try not to cry
Step 3: Cry a lot.
conmadben :'(
conmadben Step 4. Cry how bitch.
Mordin, Legion,Thane. We never forget your Sacrefice. You all was Heros for me.
They all recognised they did wrong but tuend there life around and died doing the right thing (Legion included if you got the Geth/Quarian peace)

Camael331 BioWare just gave us these great characters to kill them so soon this is evil

Whose was your favorite?

Nearly 10 years later and this is still all brilliant
One of the best scenes in ME3: "I MADE A MISTAKE!!" Whoever wrote Morden's story deserve a whole pack of cookies for the masterful work they did.
AMEN
"Someone else might have gotten it wrong."
I recite these words everytime I do this mission
"I am the very model of a..." *Boom*
Me: "A scientist Salarian"
No matter how much i try, i can't help but always finish his line. In my eyes, it goes to show the impact he had on us even in the short time we knew him.
His little grin after the cure launches gets me every time
Mordin was the hero the Krogan deserved... Well, the Krogan under Wrex and Bakara, at least.
leakage detected from eyes sockets. might be allergy? maybe. or maybe... sadness?
+Francesco Favro Impressive comment detected, liking it highly suggested.
+Radical Ed Of course
real sad that you can hear the fear in his voice as he was singing. that is what really hit me was when he was singing
i think ordins most emotional death is when you try to stop him and he shouts that he made a mistake

He is the very model of a scientist salarian RIP
When Mordin dies I always think, it was for the Krogan. 1 for the Many. Miss that silly little pyjak.
Short but absolutely and stunningly beautiful. Capturing Mordin perfectly.
"MIght run tests on seashells."!

Don't cry don't cry don't cry

I love your Mass Effect Tributes.
This...This is why Mordin is the most badass hero in ME!
Very touching. Such a bittersweet end of the greatest video game character ever.
Still my favorite of all your tributes.
Mordin... *sniff*
now this made me cry
Damn those seashells. Thank you
1:15 when you haven't played the game and you know whats going to happen and start to cry while screaming noooooooo.
I hadn't intended on making one just because there's not really enough footage relating to EDI that I could use. It would be an interesting one to make all right so I'll definitely consider it. It would probably be very short though. :)
2:12 It angers me to no end that that bit of dialogue is reserved for after Eve's funeral. It should've been included regardless of the turnout.
Damn tears dont stop flowing
Mordin is cool!
We know he's in heaven testing seashells! ;)
Hold the line

“That’s no regular doctor”🤞🏾
2022. Glory to Mordin Solus! The Savior of krogans!
Tali is probably next, then Thane and then Liara. I haven't decided on songs for each of them yet so it will depend on that. :)
We won professor… We won
