This is why ME3 ruined the reapers and somewhat ME2 did but I still think the reaper "idea" was pretty intact in ME2 it's just that harbinger didn't give the same vibe as sovereign, he seemed more like the borg. ME3 turned them into a failed experiment with a defect that sent them into an infinite feedback loop (organics make machines, machines surpass organics, harvest all advanced life, start over) instead of lovecraftian horrors that are "far beyond our comprehension". seriously what the fuck was bioware thinking with that dumb fuck of an explanation? Sometimes not knowing somethings purpose or nature is better than ever knowing, that's why the reapers were so great before. :(

today i played the mission on thessia. i really had a chill of terror hearing the screams of asari as a reaper landed on them. i looked up to him, it was SO huge.
Even more chilling if you bring Javik and he reveals the true history of the Asari which was shaped by the Protheans both in person and on the side. They where bio-engineered to be biotics at birth and their religion is misinterpretations of aliens, which they saw as goddesses Athame being on of them. Makes you question if real world religions could be us doing the same thing.
When I was in Ireland ( I'm from other country) I used to sleep in a tent at the forest only with the starts and the trees. And I use to arrived in the darkness very tired (cause it was a long way from the language school to the forest). When I was in the forest (always at night) I used to sit down on the grass watching the sky full of stars and I used to put this audio in my cellphone. If u can see the stars in the middle of nowhere and listening this speech. U could really understand how insignificant we are.

Weird to think that the Protheans, who depending on what ending you choose, are the second to last cycle. Yet they're the ones who coined the term "Reaper". Makes me wonder what the other cycles called them.
I thought that Bioshock had the greatest and most original story I had ever seen in a game and to a degree, in movies. Being new to PC gaming I haven't played the Mass Effect series and this video has me all pumped up to get started. This video is just so epic.

This right here makes me REALLY want to do another trilogy playthrough, just for old times sake. Only thing is that I'm not sure which class to choose this time lol I've done Soldier, Vanguard (personal favorite so far, the biotic charge is amazing), and the Infiltrator (second fave, because I'm a sucker for precision) so far. Interested in the other classes, engineer looks interesting.
Sentinel is my favorite and adept is amazing as well. just started a playthrough the other day as an infiltrator and im feeling alittle lost without my biotics but thats what Liara is for I guess

Wonder what Mass Effect 4 has in store. Are the Reapers still a threat? Or is there something far greater in the Mass Effect Universe cause Leviathans were greater than the Reapers.
I want a fully co-op story taking place during a time when a group of spectres who believed shepard try to find him after he dies, and try to find a way to stop the reapers from returning behind the scenes while Shep does his thing.
I hope to someday be as good at voice acting as the guy who voiced these lines. And I also want that voice changer. It's unlikely that I'll take any acting/drama classes in hs, so I guess I'll hhave to figure it out myself.

One of my all time favorite game speeches. Every time I hear this speech I get choked up. Cause it is true about humanity. We are an accident. We are easily influenced and not superior. We are as an old game said. We are parasites like locusts. We invade we kill and we move on. We only care about ourselves. Look at what was here before humanity. The greatest species in all existence dinosaurs. Once man was created we destroyed the planet. I don't know what's real anymore... When I was young, my mother told me Santa Claus was real. But when I got older- she told me he wasn't. One book says Jesus is real: one book says he isn't. We're living in the greatest country in the world! and we're murdering each other in the streets. What did they expect when they made us believe in the tooth fairy and the easter bunny then gave us the nuclear bomb to play with... Hey diddle diddle the cat and the fiddle is a lie like all the rest, the astronauts killed the man in the moon, growing up took care of the rest.

This right here makes me REALLY want to do another trilogy playthrough, just for old times sake. Only thing is that I'm not sure which class to choose this time lol I've done Soldier, Vanguard (personal favorite so far, the biotic charge is amazing), and the Infiltrator (second fave, because I'm a sucker for precision) so far. Interested in the other classes, engineer looks interesting.
Sentinel is my favorite and adept is amazing as well. just started a playthrough the other day as an infiltrator and im feeling alittle lost without my biotics but thats what Liara is for I guess

I hope to someday be as good at voice acting as the guy who voiced these lines. And I also want that voice changer. It's unlikely that I'll take any acting/drama classes in hs, so I guess I'll hhave to figure it out myself.

The reapers are a warning sign on giving AI independent Consciousness, the Leviathans are much like the humans of the Matrix before the Machines took over
The fact is we are arrogant thinking we understand consciousness at all is already a sign we are to young and ignorant to even make such judgments
You ever hear, what we think of a soul is just the information we hold, we hope that our consciousness is beyond just hardware aka this body,
The reapers see us organics as hard where and by their logic they are trying to save the software if that makes sense

And yet the reapers for at least a billion years couldn’t figure this out one a Single cycle AI Hive could,
Meaning out of all the endings in mass effect the reapers shouldn’t be controlled or we shouldn’t have to synthesize to make them understand if the geth could without it,
Hence why the destroy ending is the most suited they refuse to understand unless you force them but by that sense they are still unwilling given they can’t even make the choice themselves
So yes the destroy ending is the one they deserve
Also I know the geth may be destroyed because of it but it’s not as if non could have survived, given the reapers just accepted being destroyed given the catalyst said to be all of them
