13 days of Halloween. Luv it. Salem is expecting 100,000 more people than last year. Witch city has become foodie city beside being halloween city

A core memory from 7th grade. I forget what class, but I do remember we had a male teacher and he would play the radio while we did our work. One day he said no radio today. He must have been in a mood. We asked why, he stated that the class just wanted to hear the heavy rock music. He said if anyone could name a slow song by a current heavy rock band, he would turn on the radio. Silence ensued. Then the shy, quietest kid (me) blurted "Beth by Kiss." And the class cheered and he smiled and turned on the radio. I have not heard that song in years. Must add to a playlist.

Music helped me get through a tough childhood and kept me sane

The Summer of 1984, I was 9 years old and me, my big sis, mom, and dad, all hopped in the car to head to the mall to purchase a new album called "Purple Rain" because everyone in my family was absolutely hooked on Prince. So we leave the music store and are heading through the mall to the parking lot, when we passed the mall pet store and I bolted inside (since I've always been a big animal lover). By the time the rest of my family made it into the store, I had already fallen in love with a puppy behind the glass. He was an American Eskimo Dog (that's the name of the breed), solid white ball of fluff. Long story short...I went home with the Purple Rain album, AND a new puppy named Prince. This memory stands out b/c my family wasn't well-off and mall pet store puppies were really expensive, so I know it was a very difficult decision for my folks.

Morning fellas! Music has been such a huge part of my life at different points of my life. I couldn't just name one moment in time where a song could bring on a memory,I'd be writing you a novel...but if I had to name one fav memory it is getting on a bus to oregon from Santa Cruz cali at 16 hrs old knowing no one to start a new life and putting on fleetwoodmac "gypsy" as I started my adventure. I really felt like a true gypsy,I felt free for the first time... I'll never forget that feeling I had inside...freedom with a little excitement and fear...Great topic guys! Thank you!!!❤

For me the true magic of your channel is the sweet connection between music and memory, and of course the laughter. As others have also said my entire life experience has a song attached and Music like smell is the fastest way to unlock lost memories…there’s never not a song in my head, and so many of my core memories have been sparked ever since I started watching you guys a few years ago, the videos, the conversations all of it have truly been a special source of light in my life as things were pretty dark before.
The last few years have been a wild ride down memory lane for me, 80s music has been so popular on reaction channels, I only watch like four or five regularly (you guys are my only patreon ✌💚😎) and all of them have taken me back to times that were completely blocked out of my memory over and over and it’s been such a trip. I was 12 in 81 when my lil life shattered by my dads tragic death and I spent the 80s on autopilot in darkness leading to a very spotty memory of events, but man I remember the music, all of it, and when I get the chance to hear it again now with you guys and your tribe, it’s just a really sweet experience, I can already see the faces of the girls who were my friends when song that you guys are reacting to later today came out… I can’t remember all of their names, but I sure remember the slumber party when Duran Duran came out with Hungry Like The Wolf and we lost our little minds together so thanks in advance for sparking yet another great memory 💫👻💕🤘🏼

When I was a kid growing up in the 70's, we didn't have much. But a friend of my parents had a cabin in the Pocono Mountains that we would vacation at. There was a horse riding stable about a mile's walk through the woods. I was too small to ride, but I would hang out there, groom the horses, walk them in the coral, even clean the stalls. Best time I ever had as a kid.
We had a cassette player in the cabin and a handful of tapes. One of them was America. This tape was original to the point that I thought that Horse With No Name was called Desert Song because that was how it was listed on the cassette. That song just embodies my childhood memories. I didn't know the meaning of the song then, but it was so fitting.

I'd rather be six feet under the ground than be afraid of music. I listen to music every single day of my life. Mostly death metal and reggae.😊

Fear of music is a crazy concept to me. I literally have a song running through my brain 24/7. Its always a different song, but I don't think there's ever a time I don't have a song running through my head..

I remember listening to heavy metal for the first time. I was on a camping trip with my best friend from school and we listened on the radio to the 1988 Monsters of Rock festival at Donnington. The line up for the concert was Helloween, Guns and Roses, Megadeth, David Lee Roth, Kiss and Iron Maiden.

As we rapidly approach October, it is time to select month appropriate music. This is the perfect month to take the Bell Witch "Mirror Reaper" challenge. One of the best Funeral Doom groups magnum opus is a must listen. It is a challenge due to the extensive lenght of the song at 83-minutes can be intimidating but is well worth it. They do offer the song in smaller bites but the long version is the way to properly judge the song. The other request is for Boris Pickett's "Monster Mash."

Back in high school in the 90s.I used to listen to screwed and chopped rap music. Because I thought it was better than the typical rap was.

Music brings back core memories. Some songs you dislike when they came out, then thirty years later you hear the song and you go back in time to what you were doing when you heard it and you change your opinion of the song and you actually enjoy it.

I feel like this year especially I have been recalling and revisiting so much nostalgia. In music, just the other day, that song “People are Crazy” by Billy Currington and subsequently “Good Directions”, had me cry-laughing and singing out loud to the past and all the songs that used to kinda annoy me but it’s kinda good, too cause ya know, “God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy!”🤣

What, y’all can’t say my name? Yes this was my suggestion 😩😆
Strawberry bon bons. That’s what those grandma candies are called 🍓
So many great memories with music attached to them. Loved hearing your stories 😊 I also have a lot of songs that make me cry or bring up painful stuff. I want to do some sort of exposure therapy to create new, positive associations with certain songs. Cuz I like them and I want to be able to listen to them again! The whole Morning View album by Incubus and every My Chemical Romance album remind me of road trips with my ex best friend. We listened to those sooo many times going to the beach and back. Our friendship ended badly several years ago and I still have a hard time listening to those albums. But I’m trying.

18:32 I knew Smokey was gonna say the rage against the machine was one of his choices. I remember when I first heard them. I was like, "So metal, can I have funkness to it." 😊🤘🖤
20:32 That's how I discovered Rage Against the Machine. My mom said you gotta check out this cool band I heard on the radio. We would go garage sailing on the weekend and listen to like rage and other music that was on the rock station.
    Fun times.
