I’m headed to Curacao for the 2nd time in April, and I’m looking for recent hotel reviews for different spots on TH-cam and there are almost none over the last year aside from Sandals, which is way more than we’re looking to spend. I stumbled upon your video while trying to see videos of Curacao. My family will be there in a couple weeks for my daughter's 50th bday. Anyway I loved your video. Loved the video. Like you we stayed at Dreams Dominican. Now looking forward to Dreams Curaçao. You missed out on the Rum and raisin Curaçao, great on ice cream. Thank you for the info.
I am going here in May for my 30th birthday. You gave me a good idea what to expect. I do have a few questions, what time does the bars close and do you know you you were able to visit, dine and drink at the sister resort, Sunscape?
Hi! So first, I don’t know when bars close in the city. During the evenings we’d be back at the resort and those bars were open until midnight? I believe. But, I didn’t realize we could visit Sunscape. I did know they were sister resorts though!
@@cooltapestheexplorer i’ve pretty much decided on dreams, based on your video and looking at other videos as well, but i do have one more question, were there limited restaurants open? some people were saying the restaurants only had two open at a time and some were turned away, and the wait was long but you guys seemed perfectly fine! how did you avoid that? and i definitely wanna check out your DR video 💛
Hi! We didn’t have any issues with getting turned away at restaurants. I will say that the Italian restaurant was closed one night unexpectedly and they moved to where the buffet was. I hope you enjoy dreams if you go!
We mostly ate at the resort but the restaurant we stopped at by Emma’s bridge was pretty good. I think it was called the Iguana Cafe? Good food and a nice view
I did see a gazebo that looked like in the past that’s where wedding ceremony may be held. I’m not sure though. That area was by a lot of construction that probably wouldn’t look nice in wedding photos. I would check with the resort to be sure but from what I saw I didn’t see an ideal spot for a wedding besides that.
I would say it’s what you make it. I wouldn’t go back personally but because of who I was with it was fun. Not so much the resort that made it that fun

was the food good? i’m stuck between here and sunscape, i keep hearing the food isn’t good at sunscape and the food looks good there at dreams!!
We thought the food was pretty good. We wished there was more variety. It’s the same dishes every night at each restaurant. There wasn’t any bad food!
