Beneath his extreme loyalty he had an epiphany that ensured the saving of many lives, quite an achievement since with Yhwach it's usually the opposite in the worst ways imaginable.
He accepted his fate as the other half of Yhwach but still found enough strength to go against his designs... by literally being the most loyal soldier possible.
*spoilers I’m gonna be completely honest and say that even though I haven’t read all of CFYOW I did read the part about Haschwalth and it never really sat right with me. I thought the whole point of Haschwalth’s character was that he gave up everything even his only friend for yhwach because he made him feel needed. Which he ended up regretting it in the end. Having him suddenly care about the Quincy race doesn’t rlly make sense to me. We already saw that Haschwalth didn’t even care about other quincys with how he was able to execute Cang Du and BG9 without seeming to show any emotion about it. He also explains during the Royal Palace fights that the Auswhalen was being used on useless Quincys. So it can be assumed that is how he felt about them. If he did have an epiphany how and why did it happen? Also If he did care about the Quincy race near the end why would he even fight Uryu then? The whole point of that fight was because Uryu was betraying them and Haschwalth was going to stop him so yhwach could destroy all the worlds. Right? Am I missing something?
@@km2460 We can actually see Jugram's epiphany even after their fight with Uryu, he fight Uryu to stall him and not kill him. He's a contradictory character where he decided to become a loyal person to Ywach yet hesitating about such decisions. Since we can see his story with Buzz B. They are friends, but Buzz B really be putting forward his superiority complex when they were kids, and the first time he felt needed and someone put importance to him is done by Ywach. And while we see him killing Buzz B, we also see him give reminders and warning Buzz B multiple times to stop his actions, otherwise he will be forced to retaliate. He's a loyal person, like a loyal soldier, but not loyal to a fault that he's blinded by it. His life is just really caught into the flow of fate where his life is the "other side of Ywach's" Also with the fight with Uryu, as far as I remember, Jugram saw something in the future during the time he has the almighty, and that causes for his actions. What he saw is still not clear, so I hope they put some more context about it the anime I see a person who made a decision and accept the consequences of making that decision. He puts an end to what he started. I actually like how Kubo went with his character. He knows that coming back and turning his back against Ywach is not a move he can make, as he already killed some of their soldiers, it's just hypocrisy in his part to do so. Really a tragic one.
dont worry bro we got a exclusive shinji fight in the trailer that shows his bankai im sure we will see a lot more uryu fights and maybe even his volstanding
I think that was what made him such a great character. He was prolonging his fight with Uryu because of this internal conflict going on with him. Funny being his shrift is balance. He was doubting his decision to work with Yhwach and betraying Bazz B. Uryu represented his regret, hence taking his wounds from him before he died and telling him to go save his friends. He probably didn't even believe he had a chance. But the very act itself, running straight into doom for your friends, Jughram admired that quality.
They will in cour 3 & 4. They only showed them getting active at the end of cour 2 with the extended fight against squad 0 and cour 2 left off on a weird spot so we’re getting more of them fighting for the first episode or first 2 episodes of cour 3. Some people are saying there will be a new Ichigo vs Uryu fight in cour 3 added in. Hope so
Askin was my favorite Sternritter. His motivations for joining the Wandenreich is particularly interesting, especially among the Schutzstaffel. I wish we got to see more of those ideas explored.
Although Bankai is powerful But The Schrift abilities are far more powerful and its not even close Sternitters are my personal favourite group of all time Even more than Gotei 13, Espada, Akatsuki etc...
My one wish for the Stërnritter is that the anime takes some time to establish basic backstories for most of the remaining ones. It's the one thing that prevents them from being strictly better than the Espada, who at least got the bare minimum.
As stated already, as nodt just doesn’t have the power to be considered as part of the 5. He got taken down by Rukia after she trained with the royal guard and she hasn’t even fully mastered her Bankai by that time
As Nodt is nowhere near top 5, he almost got blipped out of existence by Yama’s Shikai and was one shotted by Rukia’s Bankai Gremmy isn’t top 5 when you take into account the fact that despite his broken Schrift, it’s still limited by his spiritual energy output and he’s below the 5 SS and Jugram in that regard

Well there is theory that state the reason why yhawch lost to silver arrow was because of anthenasis in other word uryu use in order to reverse the event yhawch seeing his the future in to not seeing it or something like that .

I hope Kubo has a whole lot of things planned to expand the TYBW, after so many years i understand why he was at such low form during that time, and even then it was still a incredible arc, but you could feel that he was rushing at some points and because of that there is some damage done to the story. But now... he is rested, Bleach still is a lucrative franchise but he didn't simply milk it into oblivion, with this this arc even rethinking the format it is aired going for a seasonal released, and the animation team going BONKERS with their work, he can take the time to tell the stories that need telling and giving more time for many characters. Personally, I would like a little more of Bambieta, her end was... uncomfortable, a very clear showing of what the Sternritters are to each other sure, but her power could have been fun to see more.

Yeah, he may not have been the strongest but, he was the one who(in my opinion)instilled the fear of the Quincy within the readers/viewers. Pernida should have been an honorable mention, since at least as his character at least peaks curiosity and and any added backstory is quite substantial to the bleach world as a whole compared to like Gerard where any new backstory to him will probably more so only revolves around expanding his character. Also with pernida, his character works well with the manga medium as we don't really get tired if Pernida pulls more crazy shenanigans compared to Lil barro and Gerard where most people had seen enough of them and think "the hood guys probably should finish them now". Or "die already" after a few times these two characters seems to be revived back due there powers.

Seeing Askin above Gerard and Lille (and even Pernida) is very weird powerscaling wise. Yes he's a better character than all of them but he's definitely not stronger than them. If I want to put it into words, "The Schutzstaffel are made out of 3 Gods and 1 random dude". Yes I know he's powerful but IMO he's not beating Pernida, Lille, and Gerard. This is also further supported by the fact that Askin only got promoted during the second invasion while the other three had hold their position for a while.
So we know where the Soul Kings Arms and Heart went but...Where did his legs go? Lolol. Also love Lille Barro. So keen for all these abilities and fights to be animated

Really love the potential with Jugram's character. Hoping to see more of him in the anime. Kubo needs to give justice to my boy. Askin's a fun and cool character. He's really right there chilling and eating sweets in a basket, taking a front row seat watching Kenpaci and Grenny fight. Tbh, it took me a while to understand how his power works haha.

I mean its literally stated that balance counters antithesis, in different words antirhesis cant do shit vs balance, so Jugram wins. But overall, i found antithesis more deadly and more suitable power to fight anyone other except Jugram in 1v1. Jugram is just biggest counter for ishida

Can't respect this list imo. I don't understand how Askin can be considered stronger than Lille and Gerard, who are divine beings that both survive having their heads removed. Also the lack of Pernida in the honourable mentions is noticeable and feels like something is missing.

Sorry, but I didn't understand if this ranking was storywise for role or it's in terms of power/abilities. I can agree with the list if it's for power, even if I would have put Gremmy in top5, Gerard is a little overhyped in a sense. If it's for personality and role, well, personal tastes of course, but I wouldn't count Uryu there. Askin in this sense is number one, then, Bazz B, even As Nodt or Giselle, had more impact as characters than some elites, for personality alone.

I mean, the Miracle is crazy broken power, essentially an absurd plot armor, nearly unbeatable by direct fighters (and he fought only a bunch of idiots that continued attack him physically), but requires some conditions to activate in first place. More unfavorable is for him, more probable a miracle will happen, also it rely on the damage he suffers. It's not a power that he can control and active at will, depends on the context, basically on the enemies. For example, in a 1vs1 with Oetsu, who killed him, his power didn't activate, because there weren't the conditions for it.

Yeah I'll never understand the Trope of the false betrayal. Because as far as I see a character is pretending to stab the MC and all their friends in back for NO REASON AT ALL. Lille Barro and Uryu are the most underrated imo, they should've gotten more screen time
Uryu is weak asf but because he's friends with the MC they'll give him some A$$-pull secret abilities. Like all of Ichigos friends!

Uryu should be number one; he has the most character development in Bleach for a sternritter.

Can't respect this list imo. I don't understand how Askin can be considered stronger than Lille and Gerard, who are divine beings that both survive having their heads removed. Also the lack of Pernida in the honourable mentions is noticeable and feels like something is missing.

Sorry, but I didn't understand if this ranking was storywise for role or it's in terms of power/abilities.
I can agree with the list if it's for power, even if I would have put Gremmy in top5, Gerard is a little overhyped in a sense.
If it's for personality and role, well, personal tastes of course, but I wouldn't count Uryu there. Askin in this sense is number one, then, Bazz B, even As Nodt or Giselle, had more impact as characters than some elites, for personality alone.

I mean, the Miracle is crazy broken power, essentially an absurd plot armor, nearly unbeatable by direct fighters (and he fought only a bunch of idiots that continued attack him physically), but requires some conditions to activate in first place.
More unfavorable is for him, more probable a miracle will happen, also it rely on the damage he suffers. It's not a power that he can control and active at will, depends on the context, basically on the enemies.
For example, in a 1vs1 with Oetsu, who killed him, his power didn't activate, because there weren't the conditions for it.
I'm happy that Haschwald is treated as the strongest outside of Japan. Not very popular in Japan Hashwald divides the opponent's abilities into lucky and unlucky, so the opponent's abilities are irrelevant Separate as lucky and unlucky strength of words luck > miracle miracles are within the bounds of luck The word luck can be used endlessly

Both of these scale Uryu in the same class as the strongest in the franchise which are Yamamoto Ichibe Ichigo Aizen and Yhwach( he is weaker than Ichigo and Aizen but he is somewhere in their league)

Askin is one of the fastest characters in bleach. Every schutzstaffel was oneshotted by Oetsu except Askin before the upgrade. Don't underestimate Askin!!
