This funny take on the tale "Jack and the Beanstalk" is one of my favorites from Jay Ward's "Fractured Fairy Tales" on the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. Really hilarious 😂.
A fairy god mouse? Now why didn't I have one. Loved watching these tales' years and now once again. Always did like that little fairy and her book at the start. Memorable. Thanks, Joe S
This is the best of the Fractured Fairy tales. The Giant's and his "Wiiife's" voices crack me up. The auto-translator interpreted the Fairy Godmouse as "Godmother"--it just couldn't help itself, I guess.
Not kidding: The legend had an origin in prehistory. The giant's castle was on the island called St. Michaels in Cornwall, England. It is a historic tourism site today. Look it up!
@@debstokes7439 We get told that the legend began off in Asia. Nope. It's Fe FiFoFum, I smell the blood of an ENGLISHMAN! Always English. Always named Jack.
Several UPA animators- including Bill Hurtz, who designed the original "Gerald McBoing Boing" cartoon, and certainly worked on this one- were working for Jay Ward during the first season of "ROCKY AND HIS FRIENDS".
I'm only here because I had a dream I was a werewolf and tried saying this but I couldn't get past the fe fi do fum part then 0eople laughed at me and I walked away in sadness
Jack and the beanstalk would actually made a good survival horror tbh. Imagine you sneaking through a giants castle, navigating through everything from a mouses pov. All the while having to hide from the hungry giant, who lets his presence known through his massive shadow and “Fe fi fo fum!”
...the voice of the Singing Harp sounds exactly like Mona Abboud("The Pretty Little Dolly" christmas song that was once performed on The Tonight Show"). can anyone confirm/deny? also the illustrations of the giant/giant's wife look very, very familiar...
3:46-4:05 Wait a minute! Fi! Fo! Fum! Fee! No dear, it’s Fee, Fi, Fo, Fum. That’s what I saaaaaaaaid! Fee! Fi! Fum! Fooo! *FUM STUPID! FEE! FI! FO! FUM!* 4:26-4:40 Wait a minute! Feeee! Fiiiiii! Fooooo! *FUM!* And for goodness sake hurry I’m being stolen! *OOOOOOOOOOOOOO I’LL GIVE YOU SUCH A FUM!*
Didn't like, the false facts as a kid ('cause I'm anal), but loved these story's. Harp??? I don't recall that🤔⁉️ Where's the goose that laid, the golden egg??
All kids need these fractured fairy tales! 😊
I wonder if people realise that they were written for both kids and adults like most cartoons back then.
@@James-kv6kb so true! 😅 how much of it went right over our heads as kids. Timeless for every age. Brilliant stuff.
@@debstokes7439 I love the voices they just bring back so many memories . We were so lucky to grow up in that time
@@James-kv6kb we were for sure! 😊
LOL! Poor Mr. Giant. He can’t help it. This was my favorite Fractured Fairy Tale when I was a child and it still is today.
Thank you for bringing Fractured Fairytale back ❤
My favorite part of Rocky and Bullwinkle!
Me too
I loved the giant and his wife arguing over how the chant should go!😂
I'm old and still like this stuff.
Poor Giant. He didn't mean to scare Jack. He just wants his stuff back.
I've always loved Fractured Fairy Tales

Another great lesson to be learned from these tales.
I have always loved these!
Fractured fairy tales were an insert in the old (1959 to 1964) Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon show
I picked up the entire DVD set of Rocky & Bullwinkle this spring, looking forward to next winter when I'll have time to watch it.
I have it on VHS tape. Probably a good idea for me to update the media.
These tales are becoming more and more fractured as I go along o.O
Then i was child i used watch fairytales cartoons in middle night before bedtime
"FUM, STUPID!!" LMAO!! 😂😂😂
That never gets old.

Thank you! I looked it up. Very interesting reading. Next year we plan to got to England, something to add to the list of sites to see.

Originally telecast during the first "ROCKY AND HIS FREINDS" episode on November 19, 1959.
One of My Favorite Episodes of F.F.T.

Yes the children today need to watch fractured fairy tails.
The garbage cartoons they have on today are insults to their intelligence.
