OOOF the Argentina dress is everything -- what a banging great concept! Think of all the people in the stadium you'll delight with that. I would run across the field to compliment you. I aspire to being a stunt knitter -- what a fabulous phrase -- so exhausted with the endless polite crew neck raglans. LET'S GO.
TRUST ME! That was my first thought!!!! But I don’t have enough to do more than another stripe in each and I think it would leave me with an awkward length and I’m too in love with my color palette to introduce new ones 😂 but don’t think that I’m not already considering a second….in dress form…
I love the variety of your projects! Everything is beautiful! This week, I’m bouncing between a glow-in-the-dark cotton crochet shirt for my husband and crochet flowers for a lacy top for myself. ❤
Sadly I’m still feeling dragged down by leftover winter SAD. I’ve got the windows open here in WA, and I’m trying my best to enjoy this glorious bright green flowery time. I wish it wasn’t so hard though!! No knitting mojo for a few months now. Ah well. Your bubbly videos are a treat every weekend Nora, thanks.
I appreciate you being here! I hope the fresh air creeps in and the sad breezes on by!! Maybe it's time to try something new! Spring is such a great time for change!! 💛
I love the idea of knitting the finishes for the Argentina dress, I sat up in my seat when you mentioned it lol. I think crochet garments get kind of a bad rap, but especially if you learn enough knitting to add finishes and embellishments, it can really elevate even a simple sweater. Anyway, you definitely could "seam" the side seams with the black thread using sc to connect the two stripes of those granny squares, for a bold black line, and then knit the neckline with that same thread. I did a crossword themed blanket and joined the white squares with black thread in sc to essentially draw the lines of the grid, and it worked really well. I've attached granny squares what feels like a million different ways and I generally come back to: if I want a chunky or bold line, join w/ sc, if I want them connected and it to look like crochet textures, join w/ slip stitch, and if I want it to look invisible, hand stitch with a mattress stitch. Sounds like we've been crocheting for similar amounts of time, so I'm sure you have your fav methods as well. Obviously the look changes again depending on color. Personally, I would make the stripes first, by slip stitching the similar colors to each other, so blue to blue and white to white, then I would start at the top and join the stripes to each other with mattress stitch to create the front panel and the back panel. Then, I would join at the sides with one long line of sc in black, starting at the top and keeping a general idea of how many stitches so they match on both sides. Then you add whatever embellishments you have time for, and while joining if you make any gussets for shaping a flared skirt you would join to those in that whole process. I always block my squares before I join, so I'm curious what you do with that too. Such a fun puzzle to think about! I'm looking forward to seeing what your process will look like, once you escape the granny square factory stage of things. (us crochet terms)
I absolutely adore and appreciate you for your joining breakdown!! To be honest, I hadn’t thought much about it yet-figured we’d get to it later 😂 but that makes the most sense!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to share!!! I’m glad y’all are as excited as I am!
Good Afternoon! Am late this morning because we are at the coast for our 40th Wedding Anniversary! It’s all about knitting and relaxing and enjoying each other! Brought 4 projects and am enjoying each one!
Happiest Anniversary to you!!! Thank you for allowing me to tag along on your adventure! I am wishing you beautiful weather, many laughs and many many many more anniversaries 💛
Aww yayy!! I hope she loves it!! I wish I had a green thumb-I’ve managed to keep a parsley plant alive for a few weeks now and that’s a big win for me 😂 wishing you bountiful gardens!!!
I started a stripe hype sweater a few months ago and then put it in hibernation but now I am totally inspired to pull it back out and get to working on it again! Thank you for the inspo! I absolutely LOVE the autumnal colors you've chosen, Mine is also autumnal colors.
As an argentinian, I'm sooo happy to see your love for our National Team!! So cooll that you'll make the dress to the game, can't wait to see how it turns out!!!
I have to 2nd your statement about having too much positive ease!! I’m always inclined to go oversized, but I have learned in past projects it can get real sloppy! 😂 🧶
I’m loving your cardigan. Could you put leather patches on the inside, it would look gorgeous and an added element every time you see the inside…I am going to try this on my next cardigan…love your episodes, you are a breath of fresh air!
Love your peachy beachy sweater. And your beachy vibe hair. The idea of the Argentina dress is major. May I make a couple suggestions? How about stripes of white ribbing between the blue granny squares? This way it will attach the squares. As for the numbers and letters, you can always needle felt them separately and attach them to the dress.
Peachy beachy! Love that! Thank you!!! I love that everyone else has come up with way easier ways to do the numbers!!! Hahaha I so appreciate the suggestions!
I started out as a crocheter and then moved to knitting. I’ve focused almost exclusively on knitting for the past several years but I’ve been dusting off my crochet skills again and it’s really fun. I’m doing a crochet blanket club and a crochet shawl club. I’m a bit behind on those and want to get caught up. I have a ton of other indoor stuff I like to do too (sewing, painting, baking, music) Right now I’ve got a bunch of outdoor gardening to do. I would love to have a mini flower farm but then reality hits and I remember I’m terrible with planning and I don’t like weeding. But I have tons of dahlia tubers and other flowers I impulsively bought while dreaming of beautiful flower beds and floral arrangements 😅
Isn’t it so fun to bust the hook out again? I decided that I would primarily knit garments from now on, with the exception of anything granny squares. I just love to make them 😂 sounds like we have a lot in common!! I love the idea of a flower farm. I’m not much of a gardener, but I weirdly love to weed 😂 I hope you give it a shot!!
Nora, your joy is infectious. Oof, that sunburn looks painful. Hope it eases soon. I once got a horrible sunburn on my feet when I was on a boat, so I know how it feels. Your sand cardigan is looking so good. You are doing so well with your stash busting as well. I am currently weaving in the ends of my colour work sweater and I'm getting ready to cast on my Ropes & Twines cardigan by Joji Locatelli with my yarn from La Bien Aimee in the colour dusk. This is the yarn that's similar to your sand cardigan yarn, with lots of different colours in it. This will be my first cardigan and my first time knitting cables. And the yarn is from my stash too. It was quite a splurge for this yarn, but Joji knitted her sample in it, and it looked so nice, I had to make it too!
I’m so glad I’ve taken great care of it and we are just about in the clear now! I always say I’ll never let it happen again 😂 thank you thank you!! I am so so so excited for your cardigan!!! That sounds divine! I hope you love the experience and the product!!
I make beaded jewellery, stitch markers/ row counters. I also sew & spin, aside from knitting/crochet. So I always feel like I don't have enough time to do everything
What a great idea of using a different color yarn on the inside pocket, I do it on my sewing but I have not done it in my knitting. Thanks for that!, Yeah I do some sewing besides my Knitting and crocheting, and I listen to audiobooks while I do my crafts. I also do some DYI projects around the house I have curtains to install in my dining room that I sew but I have to finish painting my dining room, lol! So many things so little time and spring is here so gardening is in the mix as well, oh and one more thing my kid made the All Stars baseball team for the summer so that will required to be added into the mix and take away time from home but definitely not from knitting that shall be traveling with me
What a cute idea to crochet your own team dress!! LOVE LOVE your black skirt / top that you made, it is absolutely gorgeous! I would although, I would recommend, instead of embroidery work that you applique crochet numbers and just sew them to the finished dress (a free pattern option for the numbers is: The Moogly Crochet Numbers - by Tamara Kelly)
My specific projects right now are the Flaum cardigan (Justyna Lorkowska), the Mila Cardigan (Sari Nordlund) - which is a long term project, and the Mousseux pullover (Espace Tricot), which is my simple stockinette project. I have another long term project for my cousin (the Porter Cardigan). 4 is much more than I usually knit at once, but two of them are slower longer term projects, so I don’t feel pressured to finish them quickly.
I think multiple wips works when you have a different sort of purpose for each. Then it makes it all more fun to pick and choose! Love that Mila Cardigan!
I love the special occasion stuff- I once reupholstered an entire chair the night before a Christmas party- I understand the excitement. I'm working on a graduation quilt for my eldest nephew and about to start a snowflake knit blanket for this Christmas. Or next......
Love your stripe hype. Other than knitting, I have been working on book binding paper journals and hand stitching the bindings on the spines. Good luck with your crochet soccer dress!
The Argentina dress will be so much fun, and you'll look fantastic! I love the striped sweater and your dad’s stripes in there. It's so meaningful. I watched you while weaving in the ends of my mom's Mother's Day gift: a mosaic crochet cowl of Viking knots. It was so much fun to crochet. I love crocheting. Happy knitting and crocheting 💚🧶💚
I think I have too many hobbies for a 24 hour-day. At the moment, I am all crochet, knit, sew, but I also enjoy drawing and painting and reading... I cycle through these things in certain intervals so everything gets its moment to shine 😄
If you wanted to have a v back on you ribbing for your Florence tee, you could over lap the middle amount of stitches starting at the back ribbing. In other words pick up the called for stitches twice by knitting in halves. I hope that makes sense? It is how the garden cardigan starts but i don't see why that couldn't work if you want a simple v. Good knitting and thanks for sharing❤❤❤
I ❤ that top you’re wearing 😍 and a little sad there isn’t a pattern 😅 I was thinking you would have better control of the size of your soccer dress if you made your blue granny stripes and then used hdc or dc bands of the white. You could also use felt for the numbers or crochet them and then sew them on. Your Stripe hype btw looks amazing 😊
Thank you!!! I actually am a little sad I didn’t write it down too-perhaps a project for one of these days!! Such a good idea!! I think that’s kind of my goal with the stripes on the sides! Felt!!! Crochet! So much easier 😂 this is why we chat here! Thank you!!
Well, since you asked at the end what we have going on, I was watching this video while drinking my (early afternoon?) coffee and picking up the sleeve for my Seasons Sweater by Ozetta, I've learned that I ADORE knitting half fisherman's rib with this piece, but now that the video is over I have to start working on one of my final projects for class. I'm working on my Master's degree and this is my last semester of classes, then this summer I (should hopefully) finish up my thesis then graduate yay! Thank you for some entertainment and a brain break before getting to work, your podcasts are always so lovely and such good energy
I’m also doing a granny square a-line dress as my “side project” when my hands get tired from knitting! 😍 and, I also used to crochet A LOT. Never used patterns either. Felling a tiny bit constraint about not being able to freehand everything now when knitting is my main hobby. So trying to do my own design here too 😂 ❤❤❤
We are sooo in the same boat! Isn’t that so interesting? I think that’s part of why I feel compelled to knit a little bit of everything from all different designers. Then I can combine all of my learnings into my own design. Please let me know if you wind up designing any knitting!!! I’d love to see!!
Love your excitement over your projects! I just took a beginner stained glass class, revisiting a hobby I haven’t done in many years. Enjoying relearning it!
So interesting to hear a little about your crochet background. Kind of amazing that you went from a crocheter who didn't follow patterns, to a knitter who follows such intricate patterns!
I was always fascinated that I could do so much with such simple stitches in crochet. Knitting sort of came easy to me, but the actual making of garments in knitting was strange lol. I would love to try my hand at free-styling something in knitting! One day!
Great video! I am loving the ceremonial nature of knitting on certain projects for certain times of the day or certain events ! I typically have 2 knits going at the same time - super simple stockinette (to balance the stress that comes with life lol) and a more complex cable or lace pattern. I also sew, so I am always working to create looks when I pick patterns. Spring is the perfect inspirational season to plan for summer and fall wardrobe pieces, so I am down that rabbit hole right now lol!
Hi I have just found you. I have been knitting for years always for children and items for charity. Now I have decided to knit for myself. I am watching from New Zealand and looking forward to trying and learning new skills.
You've certainly had a busy knitting and crochet week. I love how the stripe hype sweater is coming along and i think the idea of a split hem makes it so comfy and versatile. When is the Argentina game? I cant wait to see the dress, since i loved the NY Yankees outfit you did last year. Now what were you teasing about with the red yarn from last week? Happy knitting and crocheting this week!
So busy! So exciting!! I’m glad you agree with the split hem idea. I went back and forth on it, but it seems like the best way to keep it casual and cozy. We’ve got just over a month ‘til the game 😅 ambitious plans for sure! I’ll have to send you my plans for the red!! It’s taking everything in me to not cast on yet! Thank you 🥰
Nora you are so talented, I'm a quilter my trade and knitter, crocheter im all over. I love the long cardigan but would love it in a bulker yarn. See you next week Happy Crafting
You just bring such joy to my Saturday mornings! I think your knitting is gorgeous and I really enjoy your makes. I am going to be stash busting to find colors like yours for a Stripe Hype sweater. I'm excited to see your Argentina dress - you'll be the best dressed person there! Hugs from Texas!!
I have been tablet weaving in between knitting. It gives my hands a break. Plus, it makes beautiful trim for my #StashBustSpring Sweatshirt sweater that I finished this week for the pouch and hood!
I was traveling in South America once when Brazil and Argentina were playing each other in fútbol. OMB I’ve never seen such team spirit from every single person in the region! The customs guy saw something in my suitcase that matched the “Messi blue,” and teased me about who was I rooting for, really?!?! A fun memory you’ve brought back to me by your clever and fun soccer dress.
Hahaha that seems like an absolute blast!! I love watching the fans and how invested they are all in the team spirit of it all! So excited to be able to participate!!
Enjoyed your crochet and knitting stories and creativity. Your Sand cardi is coming along nicely! Spring is coming here in PA too. We've had a week of warm days. Yay! I asked my husband to bring my Schacht Matchless spinning wheel down from storage. It's been several years since I've spun on it. She is cleaned polished and ready to spin after a bit of oil. I'm excited to get her out onto the porch to spin. I have a large bag of Alpaca stashed away just for this day. I'm currently working on the Drew vest by Marly Bird knits using a dark hunter green worsted stash yarn. The back is a few rows from completion. (Love this color). I may need to purchase another skein or two to finish this project though. Love your encouraging videos each week! Keep them coming please.
Love your videos! The picture you showed for the back of the Florence tee is actually not knitted in a V. I thought the same but when I looked at the rest of her pictures it shows it knitted to pattern, I think it’s just the angle of the picture. I wish it did have a little V to it because I agree with you that it looks cuter that way.
You’re defiantly my sister when it comes to all the math with yarn calculations for yardage. Just went through this and figuring out how to extend my current shawl as I want to use up the full cake. It’s been in stash way to long to have 30g left over.
Ah, I want to make a stripe hype! Yours is coming along so well. I have some yarns that would work, I just might have to order the main color. 🤔 I’ve been decluttering/going through things because I don’t know what I have. Today I went through my box of jewelry-making supplies and found a bracelet kit that I got on clearance at Hobby Lobby several years ago… and an identical kit that I got at Tuesday Morning when they were going out of business last year. 🤷♀️ I started one of the bracelets today while watching your podcast and it’s too small to get over my hand (it’s a sliding macrame situation). Lucky for me I have another kit so I can try again! 😆
Thank you! I couldn't recommend it enough!!! Isn't it fun to just try something different once in a while?? A small bracelet would probably make for a great keychain!!
I also knit so fast when things get exciting! I hurt my hand knitting super fast during a Formula One race a few weeks ago. 😂 I rested it and it's okay now, but those races are long and I have to be careful for the future ones.
I've made several tank tops and you definitely can repeat the front for the back, as long as you've got matching stitch counts. If you want a shallower v in the back (like the picture) then you could start the v later than the front and decrease more rapidly. I agree, the original back isn't the most exciting.
You’ll look gorgeous wearing those blues. Those blues work beautifully with your coloring and skin tone. Not sure why you don’t like blue, but just know, those blues work REALLY well for you. What a fun project!
I love your idea to make a dress for the Argentina soccer game. Life should be about having fun! You can’t be serious all the time. I have multiple hobbies too. I love to sew. I enjoy making outfits for myself. I knit. I am working on a baby dress for my grand daughter. I am crocheting a “emotional support chicken” for someone who was in an accident. I cross stitch ( mostly Halloween stuff). I also enjoy painting ceramics. I started some of these hobbies when I was around twelve or so. My mother, one of her sisters and their mother were all avid sewers, knitters and crocheters. They were always making something. I started painting ceramics at nineteen. That was a long time ago. So you see it was inevitable that I would be a crafter too! Sorry this is so long. You should always enjoy the process if you can. 😀
I do love a good excuse to have some fun!! I think it's great to have a multitude of different hobbies. Even as you go through seasons and the ebb and flow of your desire to practice each one, it's so great that they can all be there for you at any given moment! I love that 💛
I'm SO excited to see how your Messi dress is going to turn out. I really hope you end up having time to embroider the number because I think thats really going to elevate it. Right now I'm working on a group project for our local library. They have a skylight that they want to cover with crocheted and knit doilies for their Fiber Arts February event next year. I just got started on my first crocheted doily. Made with stash yarn of course #Stashbustspring
I am SO PSYCHED about your Argentina dress. I'm a big soccer fan (women's soccer, though!) and totally get the experience of your knitting going faster and faster during the exciting parts of the game. I'm wrapping up a summer knit (the Pyramid Tee) now using mystery yarn that's been in my stash for like 10+ years, so wahoo for accidentally being part of your KAL!
You don't have to sew around the whole pocket to attach it to the front. I think what they do is make a long tail and tack the bottom corner of the pocket down. The long tail and tack keeps it in place but also let's it move so it doesn't distort the front fabric. I kinda zoned out during the pocket description but heard you say, "if I sew all around it" Hope I deduced the situation correctly. 😂
The stripe hype would be a great beginner friendly garment!!! I have yet to find a really fantastic video about how to do the mattress stitch, but once you figure it out, it is intuitive! Just takes a bit of practice and particularly even tension!!
I think the picture of the white Florence T shows the same back as the pattern. If you look closely, the angle makes it look like a V, but its really just a fold in the fabric. At least that's what I saw. I do love the idea of a V-neck at the back though.
While the pocket hole is in a comfortable position, are you sure there is enough fabric forward of that point to give you sufficient depth to get your hand right in the pocket when it is closed up by the pocket inner? Looks okay but just thinking it is worth checking before you go any further. It is certainly going to be a beeyootiful cardigan 🤓
How do enter the knit along? I am knitting my first sweater, (flax by tin can knits) and using stash. I did have to buy a little bit more yarn to be able to make it but any way, it is so exciting! I just separated for the sleeves and am back in the round in stockinette land and LOVING IT! I feel like where have I been? I want to knit all the sweaters!❤❤❤❤
Aww yayyy!!! I am so excited for you!! You can use #StashBustSpring on IG to start entering for prizes right now!! And there will be two more prize opportunities as June 21st approaches! The final video I make when the KAL is over will explain everything, but you’ll just comment with #StashBustSpring and let us all know what you’ve worked on! I’m so excited that you’re loving your project and that it’s busting some stash!!!
So, maybe a crochet soccer dress is the dress rehearsal for the Veronika wedding dress! Either way, amazing. I purchased yarn from lys for 50 % off. It's a beautiful mirasol yarn. Red, 2 shades of purple, blue, and charteuse. Not quite the color combo I planned but im gonna go for it. You mentioned you worked with different yarn weights. Same needle size? Any modifications? I might throw a cream in sami cotton in there, but the weight is dk. Others are worsted. Any suggestions?? I appreciate your talent and charm. Thank you.
😂 I did always picture a white crochet dress!!! Yayyy!!! I have worked with the recommended needles all the way through and have used a light worsted for MC, sport for CC and a true worsted for the dark grey. You can definitely see a slight variation between the more open gauge in the stripes vs the MC, but it honestly doesn’t bother me at all! It almost adds to it because the stripes are just that much more contrasting. We shall see how things fair in blocking, but so far it really has not been a problem!
Random thought, could you just use a felting needle to lightly felt the edges of your pockets to the cardigan? May not work, but I feel like that might be a less noticeable way to tack the pocket in place after it is knitted. At least to keep it from flapping around.
I've got fabric out for making project bags for my knitting. I'm also "bicraftual". Sewing, crochet, knitting. It's a trio of fiber arts, so why not have them all work together?
I think that the white Florence tank is beautiful but not necessarily knit to have a v in the back--it looks like the button band(?) is heavier than the main fabric and weighed down between her shoulders. That said, I think it would be pretty to knit it up with a v in the back! It would essentially mirror the front of the tank, right? Too cute!
You might consider putting those pesky underarm stitches on a safety pin. That would stop the binding you get with attaching it to the end of the sleeves. 😂
Don't think the v-back is as low as the v in the front. hope you can workit out. The v-back is prettier than the round back of the pattern. nothng wrong with the round back, but I like the other idea.
I just knit my first ever pockets (on a cardigan for my husband). They're patch pockets made using one layer of knitting in the same fabric that you then seam to the inside. This video was the most helpful I could find in all the TH-cam land. It might not be suitable for your cardigan, because your pockets are at an angle and these go straight down, but I thought I'd share as pocket inspiration. th-cam.com/video/y8aGcpbz-cw/w-d-xo.html&t=
I’m so happy to have my stripe hype sweater version in your video!!!! 🤩what an honour!!! ❤
Aww yayyy!!! It’s a stunner!! 😍

Excited to see how your dress turns out! And the colors of your Stripe Hype are gorgeous!
Thank you!!! I’m so excited too 🥰
Left overs of your stripe hype colours you say.......I dare you to carry on knitting and turn it into the stripe hype dress.......double dare.......😂

I’m a sucker for “heathered” colorways. I’m drawn to the dimension it brings. Holding those two blue yearns together reminds me of that.

I am with you on high impact minimal effort and will add fun to make and wear!
Totally agree!!!

Thank you Nora I’m about to cast on the Folklaw cardigan for my granddaughter. Outside knitting it is gardening time and planting the summer flowers.

How fun!!! I think we can all agree, we need at least another 12 hours in each day 😂
That peach color is beautiful on you!
Thank you so much!! 🥰
Love the idea with the agrentina dress! so cool. I crochet a sun hat from stash yarn. Love a spontaneous project in between.
Thank you!!! I love that! It’s definitely nice to just have a little palette cleanser
I don't usually wear stripes but you have made me want to make the stripe hype 😂
Omg that Argentina dress is gonna be so siiiick!! 😍
Isn’t it so fun?? Even just for a simple sweater construction, it’d be great stripeless!! I’m so excited you’re excited with me!! ⚽️
@@akaNoraKnitsI've gone through my stash and come up with a colour pallette. I am super excited now!!
Oh I need to do that stripe hype 😍. I always have a crochet blanket on the go for mindless crochet to change up from knitting ♥️
100% knit the stripe hype!! I do have dreams of a big crochet blanket for the bed. One day!!
So many things so little time and spring is here so gardening is in the mix as well, oh and one more thing my kid made the All Stars baseball team for the summer so that will required to be added into the mix and take away time from home but definitely not from knitting that shall be traveling with me
Boy oh boy!!! So busy-but all so fulfilling! At least the butting can travel!!
I cannot wait to see your crocheted dress for Argentina! You are going to be so adorable in it. What creativity and fun you exude!!!😊
Thank you!!! It’s so exciting!
I love your yarn choices! Beautiful works!
Thank you!!
I LOVE your enthusiasm for the Messi Dress(i) ♥
Thank you!! I am just so excited!
Yay for the crochet! I love your beachy top ❤
Yayy! ‘Tis the season! Thank you!
What a cute idea to crochet your own team dress!! LOVE LOVE your black skirt / top that you made, it is absolutely gorgeous! I would although, I would recommend, instead of embroidery work that you applique crochet numbers and just sew them to the finished dress (a free pattern option for the numbers is:
The Moogly Crochet Numbers - by Tamara Kelly)
Thank you so much!! I so appreciate the recommendation!!!
I TOTALLY get it!! What a lucky nephew you have!!
Love your stripe hype. Other than knitting, I have been working on book binding paper journals and hand stitching the bindings on the spines. Good luck with your crochet soccer dress!
Thank you!! That sounds so so interesting and relaxing!! Thank you 🥰
The Argentina dress will be so much fun, and you'll look fantastic!
Thank you!!! It really is! 🥰 I love having that little memory built in to my own sweater! Thank you for always being here 💛
@@akaNoraKnits You’re welcome. I love your channel so much ☺️
I think I have too many hobbies for a 24 hour-day. At the moment, I am all crochet, knit, sew, but I also enjoy drawing and painting and reading... I cycle through these things in certain intervals so everything gets its moment to shine 😄
My constant dilemma in life!!! I totally get that!!
I just made my first ever granny square last week and they were so much fun!!!
They are addicting!!
Denim & Rain talked about her match cardigan pockets a few podcasts ago. She did a single layer modification. It’s def something I want to try
So trying to do my own design here too 😂
❤❤❤
We are sooo in the same boat! Isn’t that so interesting? I think that’s part of why I feel compelled to knit a little bit of everything from all different designers. Then I can combine all of my learnings into my own design. Please let me know if you wind up designing any knitting!!! I’d love to see!!
Love your excitement over your projects! I just took a beginner stained glass class, revisiting a hobby I haven’t done in many years. Enjoying relearning it!
Thank you!! 🥰 omg I have watched soooo many videos about stained glass and it is a dream hobby for me!!! I love that!!
One day!
@@akaNoraKnits That would make great content! 😊😁❤
That blouse is totally your color! And your hair is SO cute wavy like that.
Thank you so much!! I do need more orange in my life! And thank you! I haven’t done my hair like that since high school but I think I like it😂
Hi I have just found you. I have been knitting for years always for children and items for charity. Now I have decided to knit for myself. I am watching from New Zealand and looking forward to trying and learning new skills.
Hello! Thanks for joining us! I'm so glad you're choosing to treat yourself! You've certainly earned it!! Happy to have you 🥰
You've certainly had a busy knitting and crochet week.
Thank you!! Quilting is a rabbit hole I’m sure I’ll wind up going down at some point. Happiest Making to you!!
Thank you so so much!!!
i, too, am a stunt maker 🙋🏾♀️😂 thats when im more likely to finish a project, when im rushing to wear something for an event or trip hahaha
That is exactly it!! I always say I'll plan better next time, but I never do lol
I have been tablet weaving in between knitting. It gives my hands a break. Plus, it makes beautiful trim for my #StashBustSpring Sweatshirt sweater that I finished this week for the pouch and hood!
Oooh a new rabbit hole to go down!!
You could buy number and letters that you can iron from Michael's or Joan's
Thank you!! How exciting the spinning wheel has come out!! That sounds like so so much fun! Thank you 🥰
Love your videos! The picture you showed for the back of the Florence tee is actually not knitted in a V. I thought the same but when I looked at the rest of her pictures it shows it knitted to pattern, I think it’s just the angle of the picture. I wish it did have a little V to it because I agree with you that it looks cuter that way.
That was my exactly thought process! My mind played tricks on me and now I want the vneck that I had imagined 😂
I'm making the Summer Fade Hexie blanket and I am having a very hard time being reasonable about it!
You’re defiantly my sister when it comes to all the math with yarn calculations for yardage. Just went through this and figuring out how to extend my current shawl as I want to use up the full cake. It’s been in stash way to long to have 30g left over.
😂 I hate doing the math but I do find it kind of satisfying lol....I hope you get through the rest!!
Ah, I want to make a stripe hype! Yours is coming along so well. I have some yarns that would work, I just might have to order the main color. 🤔
I’ve been decluttering/going through things because I don’t know what I have.
A keychain is a great idea! I’ll have to find some way to repurpose it. Or find someone with tiny hands to give it to. 😊
I feel like Surface crochet would be really good in place of the embroidery number on your jersey dress! It would be quicker and sturdier maybe?
Brilliant! Absolutely!!! Thank you!
Yayyyy!!! It’s so funny how that happens 😂 that pyramid tee is popping up all over! So pretty!!! Yayyy! I love the few stash making it’s way out!
Love your podcast love you.
Thanks for the love 💛🥰
You don't have to sew around the whole pocket to attach it to the front. I think what they do is make a long tail and tack the bottom corner of the pocket down. The long tail and tack keeps it in place but also let's it move so it doesn't distort the front fabric. I kinda zoned out during the pocket description but heard you say, "if I sew all around it" Hope I deduced the situation correctly. 😂
Hahaha thank you!! That’s definitely what I’ll do if I use a two layer pocket!
Love the stripe sweater. I might have to try this one. I am new to garment making and have not been successful with mattress stitching.
It totally is! My brain just tricked me in to thinking it was a vneck and now that’s what I want 😅
@@akaNoraKnits Ha!! Isn't it how that goes! 😄
I was thinking the same!!!! I am pretty sure 😅 but I should check! Thank you so much 🥰🥰🥰
The stripe hype is my next cast on !! What is the guitar I see ?? ( SO many of us knitters are guitar players as well ! )
Ooh I hope you love it!!! It is so funny how many outside-of-knitting-hobbies we all have in common!
I would love it and appreciate it if you could write up the general instructions for the sweater you’re wearing. It’s beautiful.
🤯🤯🤯oh oh oh 🤯🤯🤯 uni could repurpose this dress for the Fourth of July!,🇺🇸 if you want. Just add a red detail somewhere?
Great podcast as always! I am working on a striped sweater test knit that also fits #stashbustspring
Thank you!!! Ooh yay more stripes!
Thank you. In gonna dive in
I always used to knit at my brothers baseball games because the nerves made me knit faster 😂
Hahaha it’s so funny when you really get going!!
Okay, we need a full stunt wardrobe tour tho...
Right?!!!
You could make the white panels not squares but just vertical DC panels that way you can shape it however you like? 🤷🏼♀️
Busy sewing holiday wear😂
Well that’s fun!!!
Random thought, could you just use a felting needle to lightly felt the edges of your pockets to the cardigan? May not work, but I feel like that might be a less noticeable way to tack the pocket in place after it is knitted. At least to keep it from flapping around.
I love Veronika Lindbergh's TH-cam channel.
Definitely could be worth a shot!! I’ll have to test things out with my swatch!
Love how Messi all of a sudden slidd over my screene😂
😂😂😂😂 iykyk!!!!!
I've got fabric out for making project bags for my knitting. I'm also "bicraftual". Sewing, crochet, knitting. It's a trio of fiber arts, so why not have them all work together?
So fun!!! I need to bust out the sewing machine soon-so many fun things to make for the warmer months!
“It’s going to be heavy. It’s going to be awful. I’m so excited,” is such a maker’s vibe 😂
Hahha isn’t it??
I think that the white Florence tank is beautiful but not necessarily knit to have a v in the back--it looks like the button band(?) is heavier than the main fabric and weighed down between her shoulders. That said, I think it would be pretty to knit it up with a v in the back! It would essentially mirror the front of the tank, right? Too cute!
My brain tricked me into thinking that it was a v and now I can’t get that vision out of my head 😅
@@akaNoraKnits I think you're on to something and say go for it!! ✨
I would love to purchase your sweater pattern if you write it up. It's lovely!
Thank you 🥰
Also. Try the tutorial. If it is not great, it will be goood enoough, and the next one will be even better!
Thank you for the encouragement!! 🥰
If I knit every time soccer was on at my house, it would be non-stop (premier league and local, New England Revolution.
😂 so fun!! It would be cool to have a blanket or something that only gets worked up during games! Then you could see just how much you've watched!
You might consider putting those pesky underarm stitches on a safety pin. That would stop the binding you get with attaching it to the end of the sleeves. 😂
😂😂😂 why did I not think of that!! Thank you!
Don't forget your sun screen!!! Don't ruin your skin!
Don't think the v-back is as low as the v in the front. hope you can workit out. The v-back is prettier than the round back of the pattern. nothng wrong with the round back, but I like the other idea.
Instead of embroidered numbers and letters why not try the crochet numbers and letters that you can then sew on to dress...
That would be too easy!! 😂 I literally never even thought about that! Thank you!!
Thank you so much!!
