Yaaasss! I I LOVE Jamiroquai. Here in the UK, the genre was referred to as 'Acid Jazz'. I saw them perform this song live at the MTV Video Music Awards in NYC in 1997. Plus I've seen them in concert 3 times. They're AMAZING 💜 -x-

@@NoCanDu No way! I'm British, but lived in NYC 1996 - 1998 working as an Au Pair in Manhattan. I won tickets listening to K-Rock - I had to be the 92nd caller I think after they played a certain song! It was a surreal & amazing experience, albeit slightly strange atmosphere; it was a week after Princess Diana's death, which the world was still reeling from. I even managed to get tickets to the after party in Bryant Park (I think) & found myself on a table between Marilyn Manson and Chris Rock's tables! 🤯 I think I pinched myself several times that night! Lots of Love from the UK 💜 -x-

Exactly, I remember seeing this video on VH1 Pop up Video, the dark liquid at the end was hydraulic fluid from one of the floor level flat dollies the crew were using to move the set around the singer, they only had one day to shoot, so they had to leave it in the final edit due to the labor intensive nature of shooting the scene.

@@kristaspecht from ‘Too Young to Die’ released in 1992 (an anti war song) so many great songs
All gone when we drop the bomb
      Can the politicians reassure?
      'Cause here I am
      Presuming that
      Nobody wants a war
      There's so many people praying
Just to find out if they're staying
      But lately stately governments
      And disillusioned leaders
      So full of empty promises
But rarely do they feed us
Put our backs against the wall

Do you know which side you're standing?

Jamiroquai has to be one of my favourite groups of all time, like, top 5 for sure. Couple of things to know:

-Jay Kay is, like, SUPER into cars, and tends to include a lot of them in their videos.

Gosh, it took you ages to actually react, lol, but I'm so glad I hung on because it was such a cool reaction and it was so good to see you enjoying the video, as well as appreciating and the fantastic funk and acid jazz that is Jamiroquai.

3rd biggest selling U.K. act of the 90’s behind Oasis and The Spice Girls. Brought ‘acid jazz’ into the commercial music scene. Signed an 8 album deal with Sony music corporation. The music videos are always creative, but this band is best experienced live.
Check out ‘Canned Heat - Jools Holland’ recently uploaded to their YT channel ✌🏼 live dj doing the funky little fills is 🔥

Love Jamiroquai! Glad that you reacted to it. Their music is from the Acid Jazz genre which was very big in the UK during the 1990s. The band is called Jamiroquai and Jay Kay is the lead singer and a genius. You should check out some of his other videos, Space Cowboy, Canned Heat etc Thanks for your reaction.

Jamarique seems like the good kinda weird that’s fun and creative and talented without the kinda weirdness that get people looking at you weird for enjoying it.
Just all around a wholesome experience. One of the VERY FEW music videos that I truly love! I will actively suggest it to people when ever the subject comes up… and I’m into rock, metal, and blues!

One of my most fav songs from him. ALWAYS good vibes when Jamiroquai comes on. Love Cosmic Girl too. I would call it more electro funk personally but pop funk covers it pretty good.

Jamiroquai is the name of the band, you hardly saw them if ever, but mostly just the singer. There was a brilliant song on one of their albums called Black Capricorn Day, so funk 70's vibe that I'm sure youd love, it wasn't in the charts or anything. Love their music❤

The technical skill in this video is incredible 30-odd years later. Still can't believe he avoided touching the wall at 7.25

Doesn’t matter how you categorise it, it’s just an awesome tune embellished with an award-winning video - not my regular genre being a metal head, but I genuinely don’t know anyone that doesn’t like this song - good music is good music

I listen to a lot of metal, electronica and gangsta rap but damn. Jamiroquai is one of those bands that, to me, I mean. They go hard on that funk! One of my favorites 💯

I love this song especially when I saw him live. The band is called his bass player is unreal. They do a lot of house dance funk is unbelievable and it is sort of poppy funk he wears a different hat. All the time that's his thing. Thank you you got to play the new lovebites judgement day

If Micheal Jackson had choreographed this it would be shouted from the rooftops. The fixed camera is facing Jay Kay, the other walls are movable and it’s his movement against the floor that tricks the eye. An Acid Jazz classic. Jamiroquai are so talented.

Very cool reaction. I've loved Jamiroquai since the early 90's.
One of my best life memories, is being about 16 or 17. Snowboarding in the Italian mountains on my own. Off piste. With a discman, listening to this album. I only had that album with me. It was f$#@&g EPIC.
You guys would prob like one of my other Jamiroquai favourites.
" Cosmic Girl". Absolute banger from the 90's
