Bon Scott era is the greatest for me. Brian is fantastic as well, but Bons lyrics are just the greatest part of AcDc. I’ve been a fan since ‘75 and I’ll always respect Brian and grateful that he came in after Bons death. Long live AcDc
Hahaaa!!! That was not a troll… I just like making you guys laugh, and it looks like it worked. Sometimes I have the sense of humor of a 12 year old boy too. Glad you guys enjoyed it 😆😊
As an Aussie I can't got past the pre 1980's era with Bon Scott. He was the heart of the band and his cheeky, fun loving nature put AC/DC on the map. Most of AC/DC's most iconic song lyrics were written by Bon. The nation mourned him when he died in Feb 1980 and, to me, AC/DC just wasn't the same again. They just couldn't recreate those incredibly clever and witty lyrics.
Cathy, I’m from the U.S. and I feel the same. Bon was the master of innuendo and wrote some of the best rock and roll lyrics ever written. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Problem Child, Live Wire, Night Prowler and Big Balls, among just a few of the many he wrote, show what a talent he was. Bon was also the best at delivery of those lyrics. He didn’t seem to take it all too seriously and had a blast entertaining people. Imo, he’s among the absolute best front men of rock and roll.
I love AC/CD! This entire album is awesome! That is very difficult to answer Bon Scott or Brian Johnson. I've been listening to them since 1974 and I love Bon Scott then when he passed, Brian Johnson rocked from the get go. I love them both because they are both unique in their sounds.
I guess because when I first became a fan, Bon Scott was the singer so his songs have always been my favorite. But you can’t go wrong with either singer.
I remember the video to this....and Bon's face and expressions all through the song kept me in stitches, It was like he was going "I'm not singing about what you think I am or am I? Doesn't matter because you are thinking it anyway." Still makes me laugh.
Was it live? Don't ever remember a video clip of this. I know HEAPS about them and have been listening to them since I was a young fella but I hope this one slipped by me. I want that experience of seeing it for the first time.... cheers.
"Back in Black" is my absolute favorite AC/DC song. Surprised it doesn't get recommended more often. You guys would really dig the vocal flow in that one.
I like both versions of AC/DC. In the 70's they sounded like an army of crazy gremlins and from Back in Black on they just straight up rock your face off. Both killer!
Picture it : 1980 I was 10 years old in 5th grade and it was bring a album to school day and this was the album of my choice then and I went up and put this song on the record player in music class. We got to the part where Scott says “ and everybody comes and comes again “ before the teacher ran to turntable and flung the needle off the album. One of my favorite moments in my life still at 53 years old now. Lol 😅
This song is about big parties like a Masquerade ball. When I was a teenager I copied the lyrics from the album and my mom found the piece of paper and I thought she was going to kill me. My friend thought it was hysterical 😂
The Rockgrass band Hayseed Dixie (sound a bit like ACDC if you say it fast) did a BRILLIANT cover of this. ACDC liked Hayseed Dixie so much they would hire them for end of tour parties.
Oh boy…..😂😂😂😂😂 When it comes to this song…everyone is 12. Bon Scott was their first singer. YesIknowhewasactuallythwsecondone! Brian Johnson took Bon’s place when Bon died. True fans like both of them. I’ve loved them from the jump! My profile pic is my first tattoo…it’s of Angus. Brian took Bon’s place in 1980. Bon died from asphyxiation. He was drunk and fell asleep in the back seat of the car, vomited, and inhaled it. Another unique song by them that NO ONE reacts to is Night Prowler. It’s also a Bon song.
This was Balls Mahoney's (RIP) entrance music in late 90's ECW. When he came out the crowd chanted along with the line "we've got the biggest balls of them all", it's fucking awesome.
Bon Scott died of alcohol poisoning. I leave it at that. RIP. Ironically, it was Bon that told the band you have to hear this vocalist (Brian Johnson) after seeing him front for his band at the time. (Can't recall name at the moment) After his passing, the band remembered Bons praise and reached out to Brian. Strange how things turn out sometimes.
I just remember every year we would go camping on a house boat at a lake called Bullard's Bar in Cali. I remember AC/DC always playing in the house boat all day... it was a simple life, but it was good... I remember this song playing too bc I was like 9 and of course I knew what they were saying... I thought it was the funniest song ever!
🤣🤣I love the Bon Scott era of AC/DC. Please watch any Bon Scott live performance. He's the front man that ALWAYS looks like he's the life of the party. He also has a crooked smile that makes him look a little devilish like he's "up to no good." 🤣🤣😈 I love that you guys had the "big balls" to react to this song. Once you hear it, you'll never forget it. 🤣
Ohhh So much fun,,, Been waiting long time for this on your channel. This was my first Cassette Tape I purchased in the transition from 8-Tracks.... Such a good buy. The rest of the album is also quite fun!! Hope to see much more from it. Keepin it Real Guys!!! Namaste!!!
Oh, I'm so glad you got to this one! The whole song is a double entendre! It's about holding a ballroom dance and well I'm guessing the other is obvious. You need to also check out the song Dirty Deeds Done Cheap. It's not only about that kind of dirty deed. 😆😉
Thank you for playing big balls for the New Year. That's awesome. I love their humor I love Bon Scott love Bryan Johnson just ACDC is great either way.❤ Rock Island with your big balls.
"Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" -- AC/DC took inspiration from a Saturday morning cartoon show from the early sixties called Beany and Cecil which featured a Simon Legree type bad guy character prone to flashing a business card that read "Dirty deeds done dirt cheap. Special rates for Sundays and holidays". The album wasn't released in the US until 1981 after the success of Back in Black greatly increased the demand for their music. "Problem Child" is one of the other bangers on that record. Fire! When I lived in Sacramento twenty years ago a local hard rock group fronted by three women used to play "Big Balls" for their encores when the crowd would get really worked up. Great times!
I think I first heard this in high school about a hundred years ago when I was 14 or 15. Still makes me smile. Ball sacka, ball sacka, ball sacka... which is what I always thought they were singing at the end. 🤣 Bollocks, knackers...
I remember trading for this as a kid bon Scott was and is the man laughed my ass off as a kid will be 53 next month still makes me laugh till this day love the early AC/DC albums
You guys need to watch some documentaries of Bon Scott - he really was a character! IMO one of the best front men that has ever graced the stage. He lived for fame and fun, he delivered life to the full. Rest in peace Bon!
Great Question! I am full on ; Bon Scott Era AC/DC! He is Sadly missed. I was a Jr. In HS when he Passed. Powerage is my Favorite Album. I Love Downpayment Blues, Night Prowler, Ride On, Sin City, For Those About to Rock, the list goes on and on. They are a Classic 70s Band that hail from Australia. What an Excellent choice! Be safe out there...
Once a week when I was around 10-11 years old, we had the radio going for one hour in class while doing art-stuff.. Each kid got to bring a tape during the year... I had this song on mine.. Knowing very well that it was just an absolute ton of naughty innuendos.. My teacher was working so hard to not laugh. Most of the kids in class couldn't realy understand the lyrics because english isn't our first language. One of my fondest memories from elementary school. I miss shenanigans.
Bon Scott was the lead singer of the band for 6 years. Brian Johnson has been for more than 40 years. Well, even today about the half of the live set list is composed of Scott era songs.
When I saw them live I was ecstatic to see that about 75% of the songs that they played were from the Bon Scott era - was awesome, one of the bucket list things that I was so grateful to have the opportunity to do.
Great suggestion and reaction! I needed a good laugh today. Now you have to react to the great song "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" next! By the way the got the idea for that song from a cartoon. If you can get a concert or a version with them doing it live as you miss a huge part of the show with Bon and Angus when you listen to the studio version.
I bought the Dirty Deeds album when I was 8 and that song was on repeat well as much as cassette tape could be I would zero the counter and rewind it 😂😂 42 years later it’s on my most played list according to my musicify data we never grow up. YES! I have been requesting this song for awhile now! Lmao. Love it! ♥ Also, ya'll should react to Third Eye Blind - Semi Charmed Life, but be sure to react to the lyric video. It's one of those upbeat sounding songs about something horrible. Seriously need to check out that song, y'all. WITH THE LYRICS because you want to get the full song, not the radio edit. Trust me. ♥
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap is the next song you should do by AC/DC. Brian Johnson didn't write much at all himself, Angus Young and when he was alive Bon Scott wrote most of the lyrics to my knowledge, but I think the biggest part of the difference in sound is having money so they can do better production. The Bon Scott years sounded so much more raw because it was just done on the cheap.
Bon Scott was the man! Brian Johnson is a good replacement for sure but Bon Scott brought some personality to the band. You haven't heard Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap yet then you should! That is another great song! Also ATWA by SOAD an underrated song. Hey Man Nice Shot by Filter and Battleflag by Lo Fidelity All Stars
Brian Johnson did a fabulous job in keeping AC/DC relevant, and great. Most of the younger fans only know that version. But my favorite was the Bon Scott era. He was a terrific front man; I love those older songs. Try It's A Long Way To The Top, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, or Highway To Hell.
Great song I still have that album on Vinyl from the 80s. As to which singer / generation is preferred I don't think you can really ask that for this band. They were just starting to take off internationally when Bon Scott died. If I recall the bandmaits had once said that Bon had told them if he ever died they should check out this Brian Johnson guy he would be a good replacement. Due to this and some other things I don't see AC/DC as this gen or that gen, like with Van Halen for example, they just are. Peace guys keep it up.
Love the channel first and foremost. I’ve bought some DVDs and there is stuff out on social media to support this . Imagine you are in the early 70s and watching some variety show . “ well we had a cancellation tonight and the triple clarinet sisters cancelled so I bring you .. ac dc… and they come out with hairy chests yelling dancing and angus finishes his guitar solo writhing on the floor like a maniac. Takes big ball's to write a song about big ball's 🤣 I was in Jr high when I first heard this amazing song. I can't compare the two. They were both perfect for the era they were in.
this was a blast when I was a kid, I think I picked this LP up at a flea market for $0.25 back in the 80s, probably 8-9 years old, I thought it was hilarious. AC\DC with Brian Johnson has a lot of classics, but the Bon Scott era was something else.
Trash Talkers: 2 things: at the beginning you were wondering if ACDC took themselves seriously - well this song should be your answer. Good job!
@@fiestahossa9512 thank you! 😊
Good call this was mind blowing when it came out
Yes, good call. I love when they laugh. I think we need more AC/DC.
@@giljensen1132thank you 😊
Also, you MUST react to "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" now. It's another absolute gem of a song from this album.
You haven’t done ACDC if you haven’t done Dirty Deeds.
Absolutely but have to do the video version, it's great
This entire album rocked!
Weird al's cover after that one, dirty deeds done with sheep
Bon Scott every day!! No question. He was a street poet. Nobody did the double entendre like Bon
If this song doesn't make you smile there is something wrong with you.

Bon Scott all day long. For me everything after For Those About To Rock started to sound the same
I don't find it difficult. I'm a Bon Scott fan all the way.
Not for me. Bon
Both awesome. No comparison.
Yep, they are both very talented singers and front men. Bon was a very clever writer, though.... boy, did he pen some gems.
An absolute Rock 'N' Roll CLASSIC! Yes, this is the late, great Bon Scott. He was one of, if not THE, most charismatic Rock frontmen EVER.
greatest heterosexual frontman. Period.
Dirty deeds done dirt cheap is one of their classic hits and definitely one y'all should check out
I LOVE that you guys listened to this song. Its so hilarious, but its such a good jam at the same time

Holy crap!!! I haven’t heard this song in years 😅Awesome guys!!! Now it is an absolute must that you do a live version of The Jack lol
Yes that was Bon Scott singing Big Balls (1976).
"Back in Black" is my absolute favorite AC/DC song. Surprised it doesn't get recommended more often. You guys would really dig the vocal flow in that one.
I love Long Way To The Top. Bon Scott plays bagpipes and the band is playing live on a float going down the road!
I like both versions of AC/DC. In the 70's they sounded like an army of crazy gremlins and from Back in Black on they just straight up rock your face off. Both killer!
Yes, I enjoy both versions of AC/DC, although I prefer AC because you can easily run it through a transformer

Bon Scott is a hero!! I love this album.
if someone old me this song was written byShel Silverstien, id easily beleive it, lol... what a great reaction to a great tounge-in-cheek song.
Been a while since I heard this. Still funny af
I don't know if it's the puerile lyrics or Bon's put-on posh accent, but it's 50 years of hilarious!
