I was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. I had no idea that Charlie Wilson was a cancer survivor. This song is certainly an inspiration to me. Sometimes I am afraid and this song helps me to trust that everything is going to be alright. Thanks Charlie.

Mr. Wilson has ALWAYS had one of the most soulful, flexible, stirring voices in all of Pop, Soul, R&B, and Contemporary Music... The things that his voice does (which most people can only do with auto0tune) seem to come so effortlessly with him. He is in the same class of voice as Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway. I have always discerned a similarity in those 3 voices. and they are so moving... So glad that Mr. Wilson has overcome his dark side, and continues to share his gift with the world!
Back when Charlie first came out in 1979 with the GAP Band, Stevie Wonder was his idol. Their first album he sounded just like Stevie. He changed his style after that to the style we have come to love..but Stevie was his inspiration vocally

I was at Charlie Wilson's concert a couple of months ago. This mans story is such and inspiration and a testimony to the goodness and mercy that GOD bestows on people who seek HIM. I love this song so much I can feel his pain I went thru a tuff surgery when the doctors told me I wouldn't make it out alive when I found out I had a brain tumor I lost hope I lost faith I gave up in life dranked my days away I just wanted to die but with the help of my family and my great amazing friends I over came this battle I listened to this song I knew then I couldn't give up i prayed and prayed for a miracle and I'm still here after 6 long hours of surgery I came back to life Charlie Wilson I just want to thank you for this song it's really a inspiration to me thank you amen

I had to play this today because I have had a bad year I found out that I am Diabetic I hurt the one person that loves me the most and she's still by my side I lost my job and lost a Cousin and best friend to Cancer. But like him I believed in God and I Know it Is going to be alrigh.... my life is not over but only going to get better

I truly believe God chose you as a messenger in song to strengthen others from your own real life struggles. And I am one of those who can relate and feel God thru your music. Stay strong my brother. I'm always mindful that my testimony isn't for everyone. - Unfortunately not everyone has the love of God in there heart but I pray my testimony is an encouragement and inspiration for someone else.. I've also had my struggles with drugs to the point it effected my relationship with my two oldest children who at the time was 6 n 12. N even though they weren't with me anymore God coverd them and my son now 23 will be graduating from Dixie State and my daughter who's turning 18 just started at University of Maryland both on scholarships.. N I'm over joyed that my daughter has chosen to spend this Thanksgiving with me. Saturday the 28th is her 18th birthday and after 12yrs, I will be celebrating with her.. God can. do everything but fail just trust Him and press towards the mark of a higher calling.. God's blessings to all...
