@@jeffochieng8398 you need to make sure your headlines are in one of the heading styles. Have you done that? Just highlight the heading, and choose one of the options in the 'Styles' section in the homepage that have 'Heading' written underneath them. Also if you don't like the way any of them them look, I believe they can be modified to look the way you like.

I wish it was as easy as in your video! How do you preserve the numbering? When I change it to 'Heading', the numbering disappears. When I 'updated to match selection' it reformatted the whole file, which I don't want. I'm not having any luck with this at all ...

No matter what, TOC shows up on the right side of page(right outer margin). Why? Strangely, that somehow messes up the rest of the pages when I shorten the screen size of the page so four pages can be shown at once. The next page (5) under, is gain shown on the right side(meaning right outside margin)!! Sometimes two left pages can show up. Huge confusing problem. Can you help?Thanks!
Ps. I use mirror margins for book.
Margins 0.65 for top, bottom, left, right and 0.63 for gutter.

HEADING 2 IS NOT GETTING NUMBER BASED ON HEADING 1...e.g. Clause number 6 of heading 1 .. Below that heading 2 should be 6.1 .. But it is getting number as 3.1..
