Not a bad week at all. You netted .627 cents a mile. I would have killed for that kind of net when I was a semi owner operator. I had an old Freightliner FLD that had constant maintenance problems. My net was in the high 30 cents a mile. I'm a big fan. Take care.
Nice break down and explanation of the numbers Allen . Enjoyed the blues shuffle in the beginning of the video . The fork lift driver was interesting .
Man that's those weeks that you're so sleepy and tired that you're nervous and shaky. I don't miss that. Came off the road and only doing local stuff for the last few years. I'm contemplating going back OTR, but that's going to be another 18 months. Gotta have some back surgery and rehab
Yeah, but how much coffee did it cost you?? haha Keep up the great work! Your channel has been my main source of reference material for my decision making. I will own a 2020 Transit 250 high roof EL is about ten days and starting with a company shortly after. Thanks!

My week started at home in PA to Auburn NY to Belvidere IL to Laredo TX then Los Indios TX to Kansas City MO. 3559 miles total pay $3200 after expenses $2600. Getting out of Laredo brought my average from .87 to .76. but I don't have much in terms of expenses just fuel, weekly insurance.
You hustle your ass off man. You have to have that discipline to make money in expediting. I use to do that too man. I think I burned myself out and I just wanted to be home with my son.
Yes they do. That's why I said something to the affect of "for those out here to make money" meaning if money is most important. Being out here for the joy only is where I strive to be. That's what I'm working hard towards.
It's possible. The determining factors will be your own personal finances and whether you're an owner operator or the fleet owner you drive for if not.
Question, do you have to have company name put on your van to work for that company? Also can you take loads from other companies while driving for company you are with?
Definitely into the real juice at those net figures. But the driving required to achieve it is humanly unhealthy. Plus, you're simply shortening your equipment calendar time before the big one (tranny and/or engine fail). The Company will do just fine.
My goodness, management on the forklift? Interesting, coming out of South Texas empty, in line for border patrol and this agent walks up to me. What? You want to "plant" pot inside of my bumper? Oh, okay. I going to jail? He laughed, no just want to test our new drug dog. He found it and we went on our wsy. Also, back 20 yrs ago, our delivery deadline was miles ÷ 45 mph unless specified otherwise. Let me rephrase that, no longer than average of 45 mph. I always figured approx 50 mph average, with traffic, fueling and ah, ah, a small bladder. Too much coffee equaled 100 mile range and hope for a rest stop. 😁
@@EverythingApax that's averaging OVER 800 miles behind the wheel everyday for 7 days straight. Not counting deadhead miles. Cannot imagine managing sleep in a manner that makes that safe. In addition to sleep, it's gotta be awful on circulation too. Good earnings though.
I will disagree with that because ive been doing way less miles for more money then you just made so how can you say running long runs is the only way you can make that kind of money
I didn't say this is the only way to make this amount of money hence the part of the title that asks "at what cost". I said that sometimes it can put more money net in your pocket from volume but it shrinks the profit margin. This should be obvious that this will not pertain to everyone but does apply to many. Are you driving a van? Feel free to share your numbers with me and knowledge. I don't claim to know it all or that I make the most money. If you want to help me get to another level I'm open to listening.
Have a good weekend. Safe travels. Davin

What kind of insurance do you have
What kind of mpg do you get when van is empty?
How in the world did you find your way back there ? And are you still there today.lol
Cool, how many miles on the van? Any issues? Thanks…
500k miles. Nothing major thus far (knocks on wood).
Which insurance company do you work that is amazing price
Run hard a couple weeks out of the month. Then take a week off, if that’s possible.

How many hours can your drive before you have to take a rest break
Until the lines on the highway get blurry!!!
Hi Allen I wanted to know is there any heavy lifting in this besides the relentless miles 🤔
No. No touch freight unless you agree to do hand unload for extra money.
Question, do you have to have company name put on your van to work for that company?
Also can you take loads from other companies while driving for company you are with?
Is it better to get the SRW or the DRW?
@jeffgreen9109 single. The dual rear wheel reduces your cargo space.

How can a driver safely do nearly 6,000 in 7 days? Plus deadhead?!? What was the sleep time ?

Slept well all that week. When one knows how to manage their sleep and has a desire to put in the work it's not a issue.
