LA RAMBLA BARCELONA

2023 May 02, Tues 71°F - This videos is all about the walk we did in La Rambla, Barcelona. 'though it's one straight row thoroughfare, La Ramba is two different streets by day and by night. Approximately +/ 1.2 km long, La Rambla comprises of 5 major ramblas, namely Rambla de Canaletes, Rambla dels Estudis, Rambla de Sant Josep, Rambla dels Caputxins, and Rambla de Santa Mònica. Collectively, they are called La Rambla or Las Ramblas. From Rambla dels Caputxins as the midpoint, the northern end of La Rambla is Rambla de Canaletes which is closest to Plaça de Catalunya, while the southern end is Rambla de Santa Mònica, which is closest to the sea or Port Vell. Night or day, La Rambla is a very lively and economically viable boulevard with may tourists visiting. By night, La Rambla can be very romantic and rollicking as you stroll toward the Rambla de Mar and watch the shining stars and the moon above the sea. However, the southern end can become seedy or red district at night frequented by prostitutes. One visibly missing during this visit are the street performers enlivening La Rambla.
